We need him to win in the Primaries. In "closed primary" states, people can only vote in the primary if they are registered with that party (you can always change back later) Please check the regulations in your state to make sure you are able to vote for Andrew in the Dem Primary Election. Also get the date as they vary by state.

I agree, but the reality of it is if the people who support yang do not do anything besides vote he will not win. He has an insanely highly conversion rate of 'new viewer to potential supporter', but such low name awareness. The numbers prove that, and we all know the whole 'establishment media' does not want him to win instead of one of their reality tv presidential candidates. Just look at presidential coverage on the tv and see how lacking in actual information it is, always. Point being: the only thing stopping yang from being in office, hypothetically, is never getting enough exposure time to new audiences - and he will never have enough money to buy coverage that does that effectively from the cable tv. People without internet access have to be shown his videos if you get the chance, especially older people.

I’ve never donated money to any politician before but after learning more about Andrew Yang and listening to his ideas I think he is the real deal. I donated $100 to his campaign and I’m a proud member of the YangGang! I’m conservative and I don’t care if he is a Democrat. He is a smart individual with thoughtful policies and has a deep understanding of the changing economic landscape. Yang2020!!

Absolutely. I come from a lower middle class family and I'm in my early 20's. My plans have fallen through after college so naturally I drive a shit box and still live at home. But I got a better job (pay is still mediocre but closer to home) and UBI would unfuck me big time. Not only would it give me the confidence to want to work harder because I know my long term goals like moving out and buying a better and more dependable car would be met quickly, but I would have cushion when I'm out on my own and I wouldn't be having to worry about living expenses too often when I do save up enough.

Honestly, probably very similar to a debate between Trump and Cruz. Cruz is incredibly smart (this isn't contentious, he was at the top of his class at Harvard Law), and was also like a world champion (formal) debater I think. Trump clobbered him because quite frankly, Cruz isn't as dominant a personality as Trump, and neither is Yang.

I can’t wait to vote for Andrew in the primaries. I’ve never donated to a campaign before I saw Andrew Yang on joe Rogan.. I’ve since donated multiple times, at the most $20 at the least $3. I purchased a math hat. I told my friends and family about him. I’ve changed some minds. Some friends have actually changed their voter registration to vote for Andrew. The only way you can convince anyone or the Taiwanese themselves that they aren't Chinese is to show Taiwan is an independent country, which it isn't. It's also why Andrew Yang, in spite of being from the island of Taiwan, is very pro-Chinese and supports Chinese pride. That isn't something an American president ought to be doing. @RJ mi I really like him (he can talk the talk) but I really wish he had political experience so we could know for sure that he walks the walk. It does help that he's doing his own UBI pilot program with a family and that he's helped train young entrepreneurs... but I don't know for sure that he can handle the peer pressure of DC. But, if it's between him and another corporate bought shill or Trump, I'll most definitely be voting for Yang in 2020. At least he gives people hope and as a country we need that in a president more than ever.

@@eviltoms His main platform that he's running on, UBI, would lift people out of poverty. Martin Luther King Jr. even petitioned for this the year before he was killed. The current system in our economy was established to take advantage of people in poverty. UBI will give them the power to have hope and build a better life for themselves and their families. That's why Andrew Yang isn't being shown as much in mainstream media but as soon as he gains traction and he gains momentum, it'll be a wave to sweep the nation.

J Nap Yes. The idea of the $1000 is to work on eradicating poverty. By reducing poverty, more wealth is created. By reducing poverty, you then save billions of poverty/homeless aid. This is just one possible outlet of where that money’s going to come from. The basic gist is that if you invest in your people, you tend to get far more out of them - it’s a tried and true approach that’s utilised by companies everywhere. Also, that money will mostly get reinvested into the economy anyway. There are far more ways for the money to get reinvested back into the economy than it is to be spent extremely poorly and destroyed. Watch his podcast interview with Joe Rogan; he goes into a whole lot more detail there.

Michael Evans background checks already exist and you can’t do background checks on private sales unless you have a national gun registry which isn’t going to happen. I agree we need to look at mental health before anything. His proposals for “gun safety” won’t have any impact on gun safety AND he literally makes it way more expensive to even go through the process of obtaining a firearm.

I wasn't sure about Yang at first because I loved his policies, but I wasn't sure how his intelligence and passion translated to more sociopolitical issues like race and gender equality. Haven't heard him speak more, I can tell that he really does want to address those issues, he just wants to start by leveling some of the playing field so we can ALL adapt to the new world together AS we address those issues. I also like that he doesn't pander to his audience at all.

most of the dem candidates right now are likely rocking 125-135 IQs - about what you'd expect for an accomplished law school grad, which many of them are. yang, as a successful entrepreneur in hyper-competitive fields like healthcare and test prep, is probably in the 145+ range. just estimates but yeah, i suspect he's the smartest candidate running by some margin.

@@troypropes1182 I read his book, his original plan was to give everyone from 18 to 64. Pay for it through changes in welfare and social security programs. Pay for it with a VAT on everything except food. Now his changes are part of the cost. The biggest problem is the Nancy Pelosi problem. We all know how the ACA went. The ACA cost when to pay for it was to force the middle class Americans to pay insurance premiums to 12,000 to 15,000 dollars about 30% of their income. While millionaires are congressional people got their insurance premiums paid for thru subsidies.

I've been watching/listening to, a lot of interviews with Yang lately. I think he's setting really attainable goals that'll have big positive effects on a lot of micro and macro problems in the USA. He had a really long interview with Joe Rogan, and explains his ideas really well. I really think he may be my favourite to win. We'll see! Yang 2020? I've spent this time researching his policies, and fact-checking him (very easy compared to every single other candidate). If you are serious about being educated on who you are voting for, please look into Yang's Policy page on his website.
