The way his voice breaks when he says "we don't Have any words for animal sounds" shows me how seriously employees of "place where words for things are decided" take their jobs...just good honest hard working people
Not gonna lie, "The Place Words for Things are Decided" sounds like a fun place to work at. Are they accepting any applicants? Granted I don't look anywhere near like the Ryans there but I hope that's not a big issue.
@@reanetsemoleleki8219 it's actually an interesting story: in the early 1900s a man named Jonathan Fitzgerald fell asleep on his typewriter while writing an article for the local paper. Well he only dozed off for a minute, but he fell asleep on the Z key and didn't notice. When the paper was published, he became a pariah in the journalism world and his folly was forever remembered as the sound humans make when we sleep, according to written stories.
for two weeks my siblings wouldn't stop singing that song and by the end of the week they started the song again and I kid you not I went "No No No No No NoNoNoNoNo" to the beat of the song
When I taught preschoolers in South Korea, the exact sound a frog makes was actually a topic of hot debate whenever we discussed animal noises due to regional differences. The accuracy of this video is brilliant. 😂
In dutch they kwaak, wich is just one a more then the kwak that the ducks do, which is the same word as describes the result of a really nice dream that one would not describe as particularly dry. So there ya go.
"There was frog in my backyard last night, and it just screamed." I am going to piss my pants, I can't stop laughing. I write this through tears of laughter.
I have a little nephew who will now know animal sounds and so cow encounters will no longer be confusing for him. Thank you, Place Where Words For Things Are Decided, for watching out for our kids.
"So we have arf, woof, ruff, and bow-wow for dogs but only meow for cats?" "Yeah, I'm running out of paper on this page so we're going to have to keep them short for now on. What about roar or grrr for all violent animals?"
@@mraveragepenguin2521 You have to understand, most people in the modern world have attention spans and short term memories which can only be measured under laboratory conditions, so by the time someone scrolls down this far into the comments, they've already forgotten everything that happened in the video. Often they've forgotten there even was a video! So people posting excerpts from the video verbatim without adding any value of their own just help keep the topic of the thread fresh on people's minds. It's a service, really.
I died on "There was a frog in my backyard, last night, and it just screamed." I was then disappointed that there was no cutaway to Ryan's mouth being superimposed on a frog and screaming.
@@onkelpappkov2666 it took this comment to inform me that we do not make anything even remotely close to a "ha ha" sound when we laugh. I feel so educated.
@@toddc3988 I know what you mean. It just seems so cheap, the lowest hanging fruit. One might even say it's extremely simple, there's hardly an impediment.
"This needs to be one of the first things kids learn, I've decided." As a father of a 1 year old who speaks about 6 words, 2 of which are "woof" and "quack" this really speaks to me!
We need one of these videos for names of animal groups. I mean, a murder of crows, a pot of water buffalo, an embarrassment of pandas. There's just so much good content to draw from!
The Danish word for Neigh, Vrinsk, was once in a Cracked article about silliest foreign words. It was called "a random combination of letters". As if Neigh isn't that already.
I can’t escape Raycon ads. I went golfing yesterday and my friend started recommending Raycons because they’re “affordable, have awesome battery life, and they fit nicely” she basically literally quoted an ad to me
You can't just decide that for yourself! The Place Where Words for Things Are Decided decides who decides what words are used on their own. Don't just go storming in there or they'll put you in a room!
