It's also worth noting that once you drop into the room with the door to the tile puzzle, if you look in the second alcove directly in front of you (the one with a dolly that has some crates on it), there's a map drawn on the wall that shows you the path you need to take. Just in case you aren't sure what the path for each surge type is.
I was able to beat it on legend completely solo. The mission bugged for me and didn’t kick me out when the timer ended. I ended up taking my time. Took 70 minutes, and it still finished my quest
@@KronicDaydreamZ You can glitch the clock in the room right after the first shell walker (with the servitors and solar shanks). After you beat the walker, go into the next area and clear the room with the larger red bar shank. In the next area (right before you go outside into the elevator shaft) kill all but one enemy so the next gate doesn't open, and wait for the clock to run down. Kill that last enemy as soon as the clock hits 0:01. Timer will disappear. Edit: "Tower Watch" area to be more specific
Always nice to watch your explanations. It helps to run it a couple of times before getting the strat suggestions so you understand why they are so good. Thanks again!
I legit can't believe I forgot about the vent under the stairs that skips the two captains and the switches! I kept missing the timer by about a minute and that's about how much time that saves. Feels like a frigging revelation. Celestial hunter looks like an incredibly solid choice too. I've been doing warlock on arc with transversives for the whole thing with dawn chorus for the boss room, but it's been something like 30-60 seconds shy of finishing. Thanks for the video! I'm gonna give it another go today to see if that vent is enough to do it, but if not I'll be jumping on that celestial hunter. Solo flawless is tight, but definitely not impossible. I'm so close I can taste it, and my God it's toasty
I just did it myself with about 1:30 to spare. Swapped Polaris with Dragons Breath at the end to deal with the tanks, shot the rest at the boss, and swapped back to Polaris. (I am ass at the game so you can definitely do it)
@@po8cm Yeah as much as ammo conservation is needed if you can switch to Dragons Breath just for the two Spider tanks and then back to Polaris it's going to save you about a minute.
Another very simple skip is when you come out the vent to the yellow hanging part of the jumping puzzle instead of just jumping out and around the ledges walk to the edge of the pipe Look down and towards the wall then walk backwards off that pipe ledge looking at the wall as you fall tap your jump so that you lose momentum and then tap the jump again so you start to fall and as you see the platform where the sniper and button are you wanna tap jump again and float towards it. If done correctly it will shave off about 2 mins
I really wish they had something set up so you could go into these missions and like look around without the timer you know you don't get the weapon or anything but we get to explore the area and look out over the horizon and whatnot seems like a big waste of imagery when we can't really look at anything cuz we're speeding through
You can do it normal. I did it with a buddy i made through lfg while watching YT vids for the puzzles for the Intrinsic. Granted i also skipped a lot of parts cause we were also teaching me some shortcuts and skips and we ended the mission with 15mins to spare while legit fkn around. Hell legend is also easily done with time to spare once you learn some very basic shortcuts.
If you have a crafted supremacy, you can swap to a forth times rewind and snipe out the spiders. You usually keep the same amount of ammo from your mountaintop when you swap back and forth.
When you switch special weapons like that they don't lose any of the ammo, you just get the equivolent amount of special but with heavy weapons if you switch then you do lose ammo
Great explanation! A few things though: Heavy Ammo Scout not needed if running solo. Since there are no Taken or Scorn enemies, you could probably switch off that artifact mod and use it elsewhere for more support, such as Argent Ordnance.
Thanks! What a superb composition. Skill. Excellent plan. Patience with yourself. And above all else, experience. You are a true master at this game. We all need you out here.
Took me more then two attempts but I made it. Thanks man awesome guide. Two tipps I have found during my runs: If you can see heavy bricks in the back before killing the tanks, swap to Dragon's Breath, kill them and then swap back. And I found it easier to just stay in the back until the boss is dead.
I didn't even finish watch this nonsense when he didn't even mention Dragon's Breath.... It one shots the walkers for gods sake! shoot it and clear the ads! Saves SOO dang much time on this mission.
I recommend running Indebted Kindness until you run out of ammo and swap to Primary Exotics. Helps clear a little faster if you want to min-max/save more time.
14:34 i use mountain top on the elevator to rocket jump up at like the second pause(?), some times its a weak jump but when it works it feels so good (also dayum)
When it came to rocket launchers, I found the Two-Tailed Fox exotic rocket launcher very helpful thanks to its debuffs, especially with the catalyst, at the end especially with the servitors since some enemies have different elemental sheilds. I don't doubt there's a better choice of weapons to use for this but I'm just saying from experience.
A couple of tips: Swap to a chest piece with triple solar reserves before you rally the flag the couple of seconds wasted will definitely make up for it. And I actually found it easier to just stay at the back of the when damaging the brig, the back and forth that mactics does underneath just wastes seconds
on the "elevator" section after trevor you can just boost urself up with mountaintop as soon as it moves up, it will boost you up to the top of the room saving u some time
I like to use a deconstruct Edge Transit until that first tank is down and then just make sure to save a heavy brick to grab after swapping to the sword.
I use Fixed Odds but I try not to abuse that much the machine gun, so when the walkers spawn I switch to Dragon's Breath and literally 1-shot them just by aiming slightly underneath the Walkers. Once both walkers are down I should have 1-2 extra rockets for Dragon's Breath to use against the big brig and the server, I use my loadout quickly and spam the Polaris with crits at the ads. Mountaintop with Vorpal and Autoloading holster with boss specs is great to do chunks of damage to the brig although if you have a Recombination roll that one is also very good because you have tons of ads dying with Polaris. The problem is the lack of heavy ammo bricks in the mission dropping for whatever reason.
Mactics, do you think a quick launch, high velocity rounds, auto-loading, vorpal mountain top is better, or volatile launch, implosion rounds, with auto-loading and recombination?
Your comment telling us Titans to use Burning Maul + Consecration + Pyrogale was funny. It takes approx. 4 of our supers to do the same amount of damage as Celestial Nighthawk Golden Gun.
Don't worry. You're not that far off. Also the normal vs legend changes only the path and the time limit. The enemy power remains the same. So dont be thinking "oh damn normal enemies hit hard, I wonder what would legend ones do"
mountain, indebted kindness and xenophage also works wonders until the boss with a strand spec that has stompees and 100 mobility. xeno clears snipers and solar shield in the 3rd wave of mobs, strand ulti clears first brig and mobs instantly. but i'm guessing sword helps move faster after.. why heave ammo scout on solo? As far as i know, it only creates it for the allies
Hard Light and Borealis are great for match game nonsense. I usually take them into difficult solo content because I usually go in blind so they are kind of a swiss army knife to resolve my piss poor planning.
Another creator pointed this out but - In the Vanguard vault - where you push the wall to enter the lava floor - in one of the 4 alcoves the path for the day is spray painted on the back wall. Yes - it does change daily to reflect. It's not a high res image - but it'll give you the idea, and makes it easy once you are familiar with the pathing.
I dont think that is there in legend difficulty, its based on the surge of the day you play it. That is why he shows all 3 versions of the map possible.
I'm confused as to why heavy ammo scout is advised for a solo guide. I thought it only worked for other players as a support type thing. Is there something about the mod that I'm missing? Why not just use a second harmonic siphon?
When you get to that vent with the fans, you don't actually need to kill the shanks, you can just skip past them, if you're fast enough, they won't get you.
@@fysy9989 my mistake, Servitors are not counted as vehicles, nor are heavy shanks. But the Spider tanks are, although they only require 1 dragon's breath shot.
the timing in this mission is so tight - we got to the boss with 5 mins remaining and still got pummeled at 30% boss health - the brig was too hard to get with all the ads and we lost :(((
I failed to clear it after the timer ran out whilst cleaning up the last two ads in the boss room. Strangely, I still received the loot but the quest didn't finish. I'll try again tomorrow.
To anyone wondering about the vault path you need to take. It isn't random, there's a poster in one of the vault rooms before you hit the wall that opens up. The poster has red lines drawn on it that detail the path. Hope this helps to shave off some time from your runs
Right before opening the passage to the maze I usually just spend couple of seconds to check the 2nd alcove on the left after dropping, the current maze pattern is drawn on the wall there
Sorry I just returned to the game but why a scout ammo mod? Is there some benefit I don't know about? Scout mod only drops ammo for teamates based on your Finder mod, but not for you as far as I knew, no? Isn't it better just to stack Finder mod?
Anyone can beat? I slowed down my play? It only took you 2 tries? Anyone can do it? Us all timers always complain about nerfed weapons and getting killed from a distance overwhelmed with invisible ads etc. you are nuts😂😂😂 I don’t think I can ever reach this level of play and just overall knowledge and experience😅 you’re a bad azz bro. Kudos ✊🏼👍🏼
Thanks Mactics. Legend was tearing me a new one as a solo player. And LFG is a nightmare, I keep getting fist of havoc titans, stasis warlocks, and void hunters. Now I can send them to this video :)
Man i have none og the gear u mentioned. Do fireteam finder get to the outside jump puzzle through the pipes and people leave. I get im shit at the game but whats the point joining to help another beat it if they leave. Solo i cant beat crap -_- im 1822 with best gear equipped but still nothing.
