Great content man. Ur so chill. I think one of the big lessons to learn is be calm and assess. Dont shoot at and message your teammates if they make a mistake, it does not make them play better. lol Look forward to the sequel.
Awesome walkthrough Benny! Very nice, and very refreshing to see high end PvP WITHOUT the ego, without the toxicity, without the “DUDEBROOOOOOOO” behavior. Thank you!
I’ve always enjoyed hearing Benny’s thought process in PvP situations because he’s so good at breaking down why he chooses to do what he does in an accessible way. I would watch a series of these.
That many flawlesses but his kd is only 1.19 and only top 30% from that many flawlesses. Of. It's not bad but with that much time playing as I imagine mactic has on destiny the kd and his elo should generally be considerably higher. I imagine he was playing with mates , able to hold his own and his mates gave him a hand From the stats I imagine it's just accumulated over the years of playing D2, people with that many flawlesses generally have a much higher kd
i love how just because you make builds and do amazing runs and everything you don't let that stop you from learning and improving and you ACTUALLY pay attention you don't think or assume you are beyond improving and that my guy is very inspiring thank you for reminding me i can always be better and try harder to improve in all aspects
I think this was a good video, one thing I want to point out though and this is to help you in future videos you may do like this. When you have a guest, you should do a better job of letting them speak and get out their full sentence before you yourself begin to interrupt. There were so many times where he was finishing a point and then you’d barge in talking. Just some constructive criticism, overall great video and love that it’s Benny who’s giving his thought processes in PvP he’s awesome.
Incredible video guys! I hope that more players will give pvp a shot after watching this. (ps if u are a hunter main use strafe jump not triple, it gives u the possibility to change directions really fast in the air and move faster in general)
Triple jump has some good niche uses, especially if a situation requires you to play a bit slower and methodical. For instance, with triple jump you can play some good brain games around areas with ledges, especially ledges that would lead to a death fall. I would recommend people watching CammyCakes utilize triple jump in some of his matches. I also think that some Hunter players (myself included, but I'm always working on improving😅) jump too much when it would have been better to slide or just strafe in an engagement. And triple jump has a benefit of letting you hit the ground sooner post panic ability-jump.
I get he's saying it in comparison to Benny but still- dude is like easily above average. That's not a "I'm not particularly good at pvp," type of moment.
Im a PVP main, so I suck at build crafting, and I watch channels like yours to help me grow. Benny is my all-time fave creator to watch. Was SHOCKED to see him on your channel. 😮 He is the most chill when his ego should be the size of Wallah's
I knew Benny from the 1v3 series and I strongly advice watching it for anyone who wants to improve in PvP. It's been one of the game changers that's making me get better everyday. Still no flawless but I'm gettin closer and closer. Benny Is a PvP master no doubt. By the way, great video Mactics, would really love to see this become a series, also because You are definetely above the skill average lol. Great work, keep It going!
If you like his series on that, definitely also check out Jake’s commentary cards! He has a whole playlist of basically what this video is. Basically “I’m doing this and here WHY I’m doing it and when you should or shouldn’t” and it’s super helpful
You got this dude. Be forged by the fire. I spent years getting my ass kicked in trials, never going flawless. Years. Finally broke through that wall like the kool aid man now I get flawless every week. Yesterday went flawless 3 times as a solo. Never give up never give in.
Great advice with the when to push thing, cuz yeah playing your life is cool, dont get picked first, but sometimes you just gotta slide out eith bro knowing your gonna die but as long as you do your damage the team wins the engagement
at 16:00 galvatron made the perfect play there: enemy team is focused on benny and mactics, pretty much a stalemate with both sides taking damage and healing up. the moment galvatron jumped in, enemy team lost any kind of advantage they had because they now have to change focus to the new threat and switch weapon to save their lives, meanwhile benny and mactics are still there providing cover fire from a distance but now they aren't getting flinched
Good video on fundamentals, the tip about generating an advantage in a fight is the best rule of thumb for any pvp game. Buildcrafting should have the end goal of consistently creating an advantage that you can capitalize on.
as a guy who has a crippling anxiety when it comes to anything PVP, this was great content. i don't play PVP, but i appreciate the mind-games & the flow that happens in each moment.
It's very funny to me; I always counted myself as a well rounded Destiny player. I can hold my own and make good plays in PvP/trials, and also be ahead carrying damage in PvE. Mac just learning a lot of the (what I thought were basics) pvp lessons while being one of the best pve build crafters is funny. Destiny's radar is a derivative of Halo's old radar and my childhood was halo. I learned all these lessons back then but it makes sense that someone playing mostly pve is only learning them now.
from someone trying to learn, you be cutting Benny off way too much, your job as the "student" is to listen and learn and not talk over the guy.. just sayin' 🤷🏽♂️
Ok, i gotta say asking Benny of all people why hes qualified to teach PvP made me laugh my ass off, dude is one of the best and anyone not under a rock knows how Goated he is at PvP. Awesome video as well btw ❤
Very cool. Benny sounds so professional like someone who is a flight instructor. That's just Trials, now try the other PvP games and top it off with Gambit. LOL!
if trail down the road for a pvp in depth segment, you should have them also explain, keybinds, if they are modifying anything, dpi, mouse tools, settings, how to snap on mouse, controller recommendations, like a fullllllll breakdown. Benny even shows you how to enter into scripts for ads aid, and mouse movement upgrades in his old vids, if you can translate that simply you might inspire a bunch of people to hop back in for potential loot
_I_ am not good at PvP. Had ONE trip to Lighthouse. You, with your 188++, are good at PvP. I've been playing the game for 7 years, but been solo for probably 5 of them, and never participated in the community where I could learn fast enough about weapons and movement. Now a'days tho, I am alot better. Just haven't wanted to try Trials again, yet 😂
Two tips for evolving effectively in PVP #1 make videos of your games and analyze each death and you will immediately see what is wrong #2 fight your ego know how to let go of a lost duel
Few tips, you seem to stop aiming down sights too often when looking down lanes, this gives you a massive disadvantage as you have to ads before firing and most of your deaths were as a result of this. Also, maybe try a 140 hand cannon as it seems your movement and target acquisition are a little slow, maybe try something a little faster and then build your speed from there
7 minutes in and the best advice I've heard in years that has always been the issue knowing when to push.. it's just as if not more valuable than playing you're life how are you supposed to push in a 3v2 situation if you cant rely on randoms to push with you but then again thats always been the issue is people want to sit in spawn with a scout
A colab with Benny from 0-5500 in ranked (as a series probably) would be AWESOME. Just a PvP breakdown from a skilled player on each map/scenario they come across.
the thing where ppl are above or below you I didn't know that. I really loved that in black ops 3 multiplayer so me learning how to be a pvp player is gonna be better. this vid is awesome ty
Bungie stated in recent vid that 7 is about were we need to be, they mentioned it won’t need to be strived to 9 or 10 but I also don’t know how that’s synergies with titan.
Unfortunately Destiny hate hunters with a passion. Back when ahamakara and kephri popped off in pvp bungie said fck u and removed everything hunter stood for and titan got a melee glitch turned in a ingame thing
Benny is the one of my favorite pvp player ^^ i play against him so many times and he is so Great , i watch his stream so many times . And he´s not like wallah, he´s cool and i love to play against him and i have a chance to win but when he snipes , i choose to run ^^ because he´s so amazing !
Props for this collab . What I learned from PVP which I brought to PVE is to peek shoot the champs or bosses. And don't go gorilla in GMs or PVE end content. Use your head! Think! Benny was 1 of the streamers I watched often (1v3 format if his uploads were so enlightening) and eventually I also got comforable with going solo in PVP.
Partially right but the Gorilla Thing isnt completly true. I have a pretty aggressive Playstil even in endgame content If you think while beeing aggressive with the correct build It can Help a Lot
@@dreechte yeah totally . in LFG though I prefer to stay a bit non-aggressive in most situations in endgame content. This is because I've been programmed to revive dying teammates most of the time XD . They just keep dying so I have to revive them haha
It sounds to me like pvp is mostly a resource game. what do you have and what does the enemy have. Special, abilities, super heavy and health. If you are behind in "team resources" then you probably loose.
Could have had 2 buddies that are great at PvP to do most of the brunt work. Ive had a few solo flawless but if Im not confident lr having a bad game I play to support my team mates. Watch angles for flanks, shoot early towards rotates to get your team to notice, etc.
Consider the amount of game time he has and his kd stats for that many flawlesses. Yes he's got a lot of flawlesses but generally at that amount of flawlesses ppls kds generally are significantly higher than a 1.1 And he's got friends and probably connections that give him access to trials help , not to say he's getting carried since he's got a positive kd he can at least hold his own but with that many flawlesses the other stats generally should be better
Nah cuz i deadass cant play pvp without wormhusk especially how agro i play. With Void the health bump and invisibility BE TOO RELIABLE. Only time i considered something else was bakris but even then i couldnt do it
Hopefully with prismatic and the exotic class items theres a wormhusk + bakris but if they sticks too the stuff they shown then wormhusk + dragon or wormhusk + inmost light should be good
