Gov. Josh Shapiro is the best Governor Pennsylvania has had in a very long time. I am so grateful that he will be staying here in my state for the next 6 years.
Democratic leaders are a team ! Like ice cream you can’t make a mistake. We are blessed with so many talented and amazing people in the Democratic party. I love the range of talents in the Democratic Party.
@PianoUniverse any governor could have got that done please tell us what he's done to bring real jobs to pay and cut crime? You know things that matter.
I’m glad to keep Shapiro here! We need him because the GOP is an inch away from going cray here. Election BS? He won’t let that happen. Kamala had a great problem……so many excellent candidates to choose from. Trump, not so much. Not too many people line up for the Pence treatment.
Shapiro would have been an obvious pick because democrats need to win Pennsylvania, however, he's needed as governor. He will make sure that there's no cheating during the election if he's governor vs him out campaigning. Walz is the best choice to unite the country. He's a regular good ole boy that Americans will relate to.
he is such a KEY role and needs to keep being AMAZING where he is.. .. I personally like Shapiro most out of all candidates.. but understand they cannot afford for him to move from the key area he rocks at.
A veteran, former teacher, supports unions, supports teachers, supports climate change, and made school lunch free for all kids in Minnesota to make sure they got a full stomach during their classes. Trump is going to regret picking Vance even more!
Brilliant talk by Malcom Kenyata. There were so many great candidates there could not have been a wrong choice. But VP Harris needed to pick a candidate she could best work with for the good of the country. And Gov Walz was a superb choice. Please, please everybody stop questioning the choice and get 100 % behind this great partnership. If not then you can look forward to dumb and dumber being in charge of the country. Then God help us all
As a Canadian, and a devout Christian, I am overjoyed at Kamala Harris's choice of VP. Congratulations USA, you are getting back to normal. Praying the blue ticket wins, and brings our neighbour whom we share such a long border with, back to what you really are--a DEMOCRATIC country. God bless you.
I believe there was a strategy with this pick. Josh is a great governor. He has a over 60% favorable rating across all boards. He’s able to get stuff done in a split legislator. People listen when Josh speaks. So here’s my thinking I believe that she told Josh that she needs him in Pennsylvania, stomping for her because if he wasn’t there who would campaign hard for her in Pennsylvania? You could tell that he was greatly disappointed, but he’s very ambitious. He’s very smart and his time will come, and I do believe that that by her giving him all these accolades all her things all her appreciation, and she even told the crowd that she will need Josh in Pennsylvania. So she chose him a governor from a state that Democrats already have in the bag so she doesn’t lose anything. She only gains and he crude with his speech that he definitely has the good to take the fight to on Trump and JD Vance. That’s why thinking anyway.
@@jessplays32 yeah, Shapiro is definitely a career politician. He'll even start talking like Obama if he thnks he has to. Tim Walz was the best choice for 20 reasons and they were all explained at the PA rally today with Kamala.
Shapiro is good choice too but definitely not a loser. There’s just one position to fill and we had some really good choices to pick from. Shapiro is not done. He’s only getting started.
My heart has filled with joys for the better future, for uniting nation moving foward, and for our decent hard working Americans, HARRIS + WALZ team will lead us there!
Pennsylvians should be very happy Kamal chose Walz. Not only will they get a strong team in the President and VP, but they get to keep Shapiro. I'm sorry, but a Governor affects their lives far more than the VP ever will. Imagine if they had to deal with a Republican Governor down the road, because the best person left.
Pennsylvania voter supports Harris/Walz. Love having Shapiro as my Governor & as the former AG. Josh will get the vote out in PA & his time will come. Harris/Walz 2024!
Kelly, Shapiro, and Walz are all Amazing ppl & any would have been great choices. Whether Kelly or Shapiro end up in this administration or working in their states, they will do well. America is celebrating right now, snd enjoyimg this. Something so many of us have missed.
Kamala said, I will defend your most fundamental freedoms: 1. Freedom to be safe from gun violence.💙 2. Freedom to love who you love openly and with pride.💙 3. Freedom of a woman to make decisions about her own body without the government telling her what to do.💙
@@swimminginthoughts and trump said "Crypto is a very interesting thing. Very high-level in certain ways, intellectually very high-level. But if we don't do it, China's going to do it. China's going to do it anyway. But if we don't do it, China's doing it. China is already doing it, and if we don't do it, other countries are going to do it. So we might as well be at the forefront. And there are people in crypto that are very, very smart people who do love our country, and they think it's-- they think it's good. Who knows? Maybe we'll pay off our $35 trillion dollars, hand them a little crypto check, right? We'll hand them a little bitcoin and wipe out our $35 trillion."
(New Castle, PA) I like it. Yesterday I drove 163 miles cross country from Coudersport to New Castle through mostly 80+% GOP territory and I counted eight or nine Trump yard signs. That's about 50 less than I expected. Either Josh or Tim would have been great. I think that picking Walz shows that KH and her team are already confident enough about PA to go with the guy who is more relatable and who already has a large part of the Midwest in his pocket. Something is going on here.
I've been noticing that, too. They kept them up all over Western PA for like a year and a half after 2020 but they're sure not racing to put them back up. Strange. (edit) From around Pittsburgh.
Tim Walz and Kamala Harris are a great blend of talent, who project vitality, joy and hope for all Americans. A stark contrast to the Republican Prophets of doom and despair, who are only interested in themselves.
Harris seems to be avoiding the press. I'd prefer to hear her and Waltz discuss real policies instead of just feel-good rhetoric. What are her specific plans for tackling inflation and border control? Repeatedly saying "defeating Donald Trump" isn't enough. The other side provides detailed press briefings and answers tough questions. These feel-good rallies don't accomplish much.
Tim Walz is a great choice! Quick thinking guy...natural man with no fake! He is just good politician with good record! He will "eat" Vance on debate! And governor will be with them....all democrats will!!!!! Voteeeeee 💙💙💙✌
Walz is a great pick. As a Pennsylvanian I am (selfishly) glad we get to keep Shapiro. I do believe Shapiro would have been the strongest VP candidate, but I think Walz is the next strongest so I am happy.
Governor or VP, Josh Shapiro will do the best he can to help his state and the United States. We love him as much as president Biden. Best wish for Kamala Harris and Tim walz.
They should be ecstatic that they get to keep their beloved Governor and also have a great President-VP team in the White House. It’s a win-win! Josh Shapiro is a rockstar!
My thought is, she told Josh that she needs him in Pennsylvania. Because he has been campaigning hard for her and when he speaks all of Pennsylvania listens because he’s a great communicator, he appeals to Democrats independents and Republicans, which is a feet onto itself so I think him being in Pennsylvania means that she doesn’t have to worry about Pennsylvania
exactly. On one hand PA is the most important swing state and it would be easier to win if shapiro was the vp pick, but he'll help harris win PA regardless of whether or not he's the vp pick. Midwestern Walz does more than shapiro to help win MI & WI, probably AZ & GA too. Harris & shapiro can both be pegged as "coastal elites" which does not play well in the heartland
@@zyg9 after the past few rallies, I have to agree with you. I mean the more I see the more I like him. Tim was the best pick for this moment and Josh is young and he’s going places so I feel good about the pick.
This was a great pick. And Republicans are scared and Trump can’t find a way to attack this guy which is even better. Best attack is ohhh the guy had a dui 29 years ago 😂.
Actually, all day long the conservative media outlets are ripping Tim Walz to shreds. The guy is further left than Kamala Harris, if that's even possible. It's Communist!!!!!
I hate the news media sometimes. It didn’t matter who she would have picked y’all was goin to dig up some negativity somewhere. Point is the Democrats are United and the Republicans or not. Now cut it tf out and get on Grumpy Trump and JD Chameleon and the lies and rhetoric they keep spilling 🤷🏾♂️ 😳😭 ☺️
Shapiro is an outstanding governor. I would have hated to see him go ...BUT... Harris cannot win in November without Pennsylvania. If she lose here, she's toast. It's nice she has a running mate who is lockstep with her on all issues but it doesn't mean squat if Trump wins here. With Shapiro on the ticket, Pa. would be all but out of play for Trump. Now, it's a tossup. She's taken a gamble on someone who does nothing to further her chances in the swing states. Hope she (and America) don;t live to regret it.
Pennsylvania should be thrilled. They get to keep a popular governor, who will still go out and fight for the Harris-Walz ticket, and he'll go on to bigger things down the line - Senate, caninet position, perhaps presidential candidate. For all we know, he may have stated as much to Harris, himself.
@@rosso-lb9me your candidate for president publicly asked Russia for help in 2016 and the Mueller report documents the help Russia gave him after he asked. He then gave classified information to the Russian ambassador, has done nothing but praise Putin and has repeatedly tried to block military aid to Ukraine.
We got our Team at the top of the ticket. Now us; the Real Team get to do the job and make phone calls, talk to our relatives/friends to make sure they vote. Let's Goooooo!!! Harris/Walz 2024!!!
I was surprised it wasn't Shapiro Pennsylvania is a must win for Harris If she can get the 3 New England swing states she wins and I think that Shapiro would have been the better choice in making that happen I can only guess that she had better chemistry with Walz Doesn't change my vote in the least though She's still not Trump, so she gets my vote
I feel you. I really like Shapiro, but unfortunately there were too many controversies about him. A lot of young voters and Arab-American voters in the country were turned off by him because of how much he criticized the pro-Palestine college/university protestors and the fact that he's already Jewish. We can't afford to lose too many young voters and Arab-American voters in our country, especially those in Michigan, who are already angry at Biden and the Democrats for their support of Bibi and Israel.
I find Mr trump so very funny i find myself laughing at him everyday he's my favorite clown. Ps this is against Community guidelines according to RU-vid censorship is real people
Audience, Malcohm spoke very well and identified the Philly supporters are pumped up for VP Harris and VP choice with Gov. Waltz. What a Blue U.S. today and for the further for ALL AMERICANS. Let's win this 2024 electrifying BLUE election!!!
His stances on school vouchers and campus protestors would have made him a real drag on her campaign and the young people pushing the hype train for her, Walz is the smartest move.
I'm a Pennsylvanian and am glad to keep Gov Shapiro. I believe Walz is a great choice for VP - seems to have complimentary skills to Kamala Harris. I like the decision.
I have not been this excited since JFK was elected and I was 10 years old. Then when Barack Obama was elected I was elated. NOW it has been way too long before WE THE PEOPLE have been united. Thank you VP Harris and Gov. Walz 💙💙💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@dday9433 I don't think it matters. He's more moderate, he's insanely popular in PA, and PA is a must-win state. He would've been a much less risky choice than Walz, who the GOP will be able to peg as a radical leftist who let Minneapolis "burn to the ground" during the Floyd protests. It's a bunch of bs, but it's reality.
