How are researchers using chemical imaging to inform drug development? 

Professor Punihaole and his team at the University of Vermont are working towards changing the paradigm of biological imaging by bringing “spectroscopy back to microscopy”. By using novel Raman chemical imaging technology to visualise the structural dynamics and interactions of macromolecules, Professor Punihaole’s research could be instrumental in improving the efficacy of treatments for various conditions including Alzheimer’s disease.
