What is your rank ? I'm gold and (this is just my opinion) I find you use your platform and pull the opposite way I do, I tend to use my platform all the time to try and distract the enemies and take high ground or cover of overwhelmed, and only raremy use the pull, maybe it was because of the winton dive you had to use it more, and maybe it is because you play at a much higher rank than me :)
I’m glad you brought this up:) when I used to play LW in my early hours, I actually used to do the same where I would always use it to take highground. This is definitely valid and a good strat, I just use my platform more defensively:) I definitely could be using it more that way too, I just find using it defensively is helpful for saving me, in situations where I get dove, I can use it to get myself highground and possibly look for other highground I can dash too depending on the map. If I get dove while I’m already on my platform (let’s say monkey jumps on me while I’m standing on my platform), I only have my dash to rely on as well as my teammates, where if I have my paltform available I can be more creative how I can escape danger…that being said, the petal cd isn’t very long so being at a safe distance already, and enemy players using their cds is a great way to bait them too I guess:)…I’m definitely not perfect and ofc everyone has different ways to make his platform viable:,) but I guess this is my take on the matter:) and I try to use my grip according to what I think the enemy might have, like a pulse bomb for example, I’ll try and save it for that, or just immediate danger kind of:) I’m also currently Diamond 2, but I peaked masters 1 with LW in season 8, Ended in masters 3.
Not often enough I don’t put my petal down for my teammates too, but I try and put myself (along with a teammate) up high to be aggressive:,) I think I did it like once or twice this match with Cassidy
@@matgui4052 oh yeah, using your petal to raise his shield can force him out of it, and if he tries to jump back to it, he wastes his jump and he doesn’t bother u at that point:) or if he doesn’t jump to it, just focus him down and hopefully your team can kill him quickly xD
Alotta Lw wait to long to use his ult when its an ult that builds extremely fast, especially with his recent buffs Its best to use it quickly and dps a generous amount too to maximize Lw potential
Yeah Ik he gains ult really fast, but recently I’ve been more patient with it:,) I wanna make good use of his ult since it’s so impactful in a fight:,) I was trying to read the situation, and since we were getting kills and didn’t really need it, I held onto it lol, they also used all of their 5 ults at the same time lol…I used it to save the mei since she was alone on cart xP And honestly when it comes to dpsing, I know I don’t do it often xD but I don’t wanna miss an opportunity for a charged blossom in case the burst of healing is necessary since that’s one of his strong suits:) But thanks for the advice:,) I’ll work on getting better:)
I think it depends on the situation, if my ally will be taking rapid damage that may be fatal to them - and they are already low health, it could possibly save them to give rapid heals rather than charge for a bit and give a bigger heal. I only think this because when giving rapid heals, it slows down how much damage they’ll take. There’s no doubt my allies’ health will be lost regardless of how much I heal. Obviously giving shorter but bigger pumps of heal can help too, but you have to consider the time it takes to charge the blossom, as well as the time it takes for the blossom to reach the target, while also considering the amount of damage they will be taking.. lets compare Soldier’s and Cree’s damage when hitting an Ana for example, Soldier’s damage is more rapid but smaller damage numbers than cree’s, if my Ana is low and soldier is aiming for her, there’s a chance the smaller but quicker pumps of heals can counter how quick she’s taking damage, but if Cree is damaging my Ana, I’m going to charge the blossom a little more to kind of equal how much damage she may receive since Cree’s fire rate is not as fast as soldier’s, and he does more damage. I’m basically charging the blossom depending on who is dishing out damage to whoever I’m healing, and how much hp they currently have. The damage/heals will depend on who’s attacking or receiving:,) I know that’s a wall of words, I hope that made some sense:,) this is just how I kind of dictate my blossom charges:,)
If I’m healing a tank that has just about or even less than half hp, I’m gonna charge the blossom as much as possible, evening out damage received to them, the lower hp they have the faster and quicker my heals will get. It’s the same with squishier characters, if I hold a blossom at 80, and they take damage from full hp, I’ll for the most part heal them right back up to full (depending on the incoming damage), once they start taking a considerate amount of damage is when I’ll dictate how much I charge my blossoms:,) the more hp they have = the longer I charge (trying to keep them healthy) less hp (if they’re taking considerable damage) = lower and quicker charges (to keep them from dying) whether that be around 40 or just pumping out 10 heals. I have a video where my Moira is being focused by a tracer, and I explain that as tracer reloads is when I’ll charge my blossom as much as possible before she starts unloading her clips, when she does unload her clips however, I will release my charged blossom and some more quicker blossoms to negate the damage my ally will receive from the tracer. Practically leaving them at the same amount of hp from when the tracer starts attacking my ally:,) In the same game, there’s an instance where my cree is low hp and tracer comes in to kill him, I’ve already got a max charged blossom ready, and as she begins to hit my cree, I pump out the blossom and it completely ignored the damage she dished out on him:,)
