Every time you get half way closer to 100% damage reduction, your effective health pool doubles. Really cool to see the examples of how the diminishing returns slow it down at higher value but also it being more effective at increasing EHP.
Armor also increases the effective healing received so armor>health unless you have a problem with being one hit an heals don’t have a chance to heal the armor is just stronger
I have been watching your catalogue of videos and really enjoying them, but seeing frames in the top left and no nameplates drives me crazy lol. I dont know how people play like that, especially while tanking! Just funny though, thanks for the content for classic wow. Been getting back into era and it's cool to see someone making videos on it again.
This is HC, but I'm thinking about getting back into era. I play horde on era though, which kinda blows lmao. Can't go to a pug raid without pulling threat, and i don't wanna join a real serious guild
X amount of Armor is = Y amount of increased Effective Standing HP. AND Increased Healing Effects. 75% Armor is 4x Standing HP and Healing Efficiency on you is increased by 4x as well. Good Times. Can you calculate how much armor is worth +10% EHP? I always told my watchers it was about 550 or somewhere around there but clearly I am rather off.
Great vid. Ty. So ehp IS the capacity to take more damage, but its harder for heals when you have lower Armor so probably lowers the importance of maths
Great explanation here. Maybe I missed it in the video. But what happens when I am at 50% damage reduction from armor and then I go into defensive stance for the extra 10% damage reduction. Is that 60%? Or is it 55% since I’m taking 10% less damage of the 50% damage I am already taking…. Does that make sense?
also use sunder on low armor on pvp targets, it'll make you do like 30% more dmg. i had a priest friend that would always forget inner fire and it drove me nuts lol
