Another fact about Arnold: Joe Weider who was a former bodybuilder, a millionaire businessman and the husband of the most famous pinup girl at the time Betty Brosmer was the guy that brought Arnold to the States at the age of 21 when he saw him win a contest in Europe. He offered Arnold room and board and an allowance of $40.00 a week so that Arnold can concentrate in training only because Joe saw the potential on Arnold and wanted to make him a Champion. Arnold lived on $40.00 a month for a few months but then realized that it was not enough money for him to live on so he started a mail order business in which he would sell pictures of himself to body building fans, then he learned construction and started a construction business, remodeling houses with his best friend who was an Italian bodybuilder that he met when he was working in Munich Germany. In fact during this time in construction is when he met the Realtor that would eventually get him into Real Estate many years later. When Joe Weider saw how hardworking, intelligent and self reliant Arnold was he was very surprised because he was used to American bodybuilders being not too bright and lazy men that just wanted sponsors so that they did not have to work and would only train. Also besides his businesses Arnold will clean Joe's house and do other chores for him so Joe Weider who did not have any kids at the time and owned a multi million dollar business offered Arnold to put him in charge of a region of his company with the promise of giving him the whole company in the future if he did well, that alone would have made Arnold a millionaire in his 20's, but Arnold thanked him for the offer and turned him down arguing that being in charge of his business was not on his plans and that he had other plans for his future......that is what I called: "LASER FOCUS ON YOUR GOALS". Arnold could have had that offer as a plan B and he would have been ok but he did not want a plan B he wanted to concentrate on Plan A only.

@Johann Dörsel Plan B, C, D, or F are ALL routes to Plan A. Plan is the primary goal. That never changes. The other plans are the roads that can lead you to Plan A.
I really enjoyed watching this video! IMHO, it's even better than 15 facts. I'd like to watch more stories like this, it is really inspirational and tells many interesting facts.
Hacking Hero - Aha! That makes sense. I had a feeling Alux had targeted those comments to folks specifically in India, since I see many of them online very interested in these success type videos and posting pictures of lambos & Ferraris. It doesn’t make sense for folks in India to complain about the price of American or European products, or to ask for special “developing country pricing” (which I’ve seen before) just because access to the internet is free. It’s due to the dollar being so weak over there. $21 USD is worth it for a book written by very successful man sharing his experiences and path to wealth. At $4, it’s less than the costs to print, ship, package, and distribute the book, let alone make any profit off the deal for the publisher and author. Authors and publishers provide services to the public in the sake of making money, not to run charities.
@@christopherarmstrong2710 $4 Is not a small amount in India. And here people should buy the book and take home from shop there's no shipping at this low cost and no packaging too... Just printing
Hacking Hero - How much profit would Arnold or his publisher make off of that transaction? $0.05 USD? Arnold does not live in India, neither does his publisher. Don’t forget it is the knowledge and priceless insights you are paying for, not the raw materials and book printing costs. Should Lamborghini or Ferrari, Italian companies, sell cars for $10 EUR just because they are being sold on Indian soil and folks there can’t afford the $450,000 EUR price tag?
Read his biography. It truly shows his challenges as a human on his rise to success. Would love to read a book on him as an entrepreneur & businessperson.
I agree. The quote from Arnold is great. Have Plan A and adjust the plan when you need to. Adapt your plan to the changing environment, and leverage what you can to get you there.
Thank you for this video. In the 1980s we heard that Arnold was getting filthy rich by buying up tons of unoccupied lots and land on the west side of downtown Denver; holding it then selling it back to developers. That section of Denver is now called, LoDo. As for the Plan B question - he is right. The chicken who donates the egg is involved, but the pig who donates the ham is committed! He is ALL IN. Sometimes to build that hunger/ sense of urgency, you have to put yourself in a position where you have no choice but to work it out.
He's very smart. Back in the 90's he registered his domain names like arnoldschwarzenegger.com, net, org, and edu. long before any other celebrity thought of it. In the 90's when celebrities realized how important this was, they ran into problems. Back then anyone could register any name they wanted. So if someone else registered marilynmonroe.com he/she could hold it for ransom until the actual celebrity would pay him/her $100.000 to buy the domain name. Luckily in the early 2000's they changed the laws that made this illegal.
I agree... having a plan B sometimes lessen the drive in plan A, because you have a backup plan.... When you have a plan A (only) you treat it like there is no other alternative... and seek to get the ultimate out of it....I always enjoy your videos, keep it up.....not to sound bias, but one day I hope you will have videos on 15 things you didnt know about Jamaica, , bob marley, usian bolt , marcus garvey, and slave trade.
He did go to audition for one roll. He told Lou Ferrigno to go with him and right away the producer said "a few inches taller and 40lbs heavier, we want him". Arnold turned to Lou an said congratulations. Lou then became the one and only man in history to play The Hulk.
Yes I believe in that philosophy it is also stated in book 'Think and grow Rich' that you have burn all the ships away if you want to succeed in a particular goal meaning no "PLAN B".
I never thought about a plan B. There's only one plan. My husband is a carpenter. He gets building plans all the time. Adjustments can be made, but you don't build one home while debating on another.
Good info + infographics, A lot of work ! In the Schwarzenegger's documentary about Mr. Olimpia you can see the focus of this man. Thanks for sharing !
Surely One of the best Videos.. @alux.com fantastic new format.. and frankly speaking I did nt expected Arnold so inspiring for me till now Arnold is a well known Body builder, an actor who became a Governer...
@@alux well it's my bad that I can't notice it at this stage of my experience, well i will work smart to identify the improved product...btw love you my one sided mentor!...❤️
Life is a plan B because you never know how you're going to achieve your goal exactly. So in essence you're thrown from one road to the next until you land on the one that lead to your journey's end. Arnold's right, focus on plan A because the maze to get there is enough plan B for anybody's life time!
He did take a shitty role at the start: "Hercules in New York" and before the "Terminator" he did " Conan the barbarian" and "Conan the Destroyer" I thought it would be right to mention those, Alux...
Hello Alux.com this is our pleasure to watch this awesome video. We completely agree with it that there should be only plan A. On other hand Plan B is made on the support when plan A fail.
Plan A is like this: you burn your boats and you remain with only two options: either succeed or die. Now, do you understand why you don't need a plan B?
11:20 *"...The book can be expensive at twenty-one dollars..."* Isn't that a redundant statement when the channel is geared towards millionaires and billionaires?
