@@simon9476 flick is transforming barca in a more interesting way by far 10 or so injuries and still scoring goals for fun with kids while kompany is doing a great job don't get me wrong but what flick is doing is simply more impressive when provided with context and taking into account barca last season and bayern last season
@@crisis_za6491 Yeah Flick is the one I find interesting the most after Kompany. But Bayern was 3rd last year and he was relegated with Burnley and just does the best start to the Bundesliga after 4 games EVER. That is just incredible to me, I thought it will take some time till the team clicks with him but he is so much more than a good tactician, he has mastered man management and I love seeing that. I actually havent heard a bad answer from him in an interview or press conference yet. But Flick is also interesting you are right. I mainly can't understand more than 1 video about Slot or Maresca and literally 0 about Kompany.
It might have backfired slightly but surely it wouldn't be naive, rather make sense if all of the 3 City CBs would interchange their positions with 3 creative CMs. Would spot those slight openings, make those intricate passes and 3 incredible aerial threats in the City box. Also, hoping to get better off the CMs while a breakout, it would tempt the Arsenal front 2-3 to press.

All these negative comments about Arsenal playing stone wall football with 10 men might be forgetting that Odegaard is still unfit to play. Odegaard is there only player that can take a pass in between the midfield and defensive lines and actually turn to make a game breaking play with a pass or dribble. Without him, arsenal cannot have midfield control. So without their best player, they played like West Ham against Bayer Leverkusen in last year's Europa league when they dropped to 10 men.
Even with Odegaard, they only had ONE open-play goal before their left-back wondergoal, before the international break when he sadly got injured. They've been playing like this for a while now.

Both managers came with their tactics both on the 11 V 11 situations and the 11 V10 situations. Discrediting one manager based on what you expected to have happened isn't any tactical analysis. Well, I hope it all works out for Arsenal, abandoning everything that made them so fun to watch in the past. Sad to see what Arteta has turned them into. They used to be a team that prided on themselves outfootballing the opposition but now, they've become Stoke City, deploying UFC-tactics & pulling out every time-wasting tactic from minute one. It doesn't surprise me that Gabriel - their CB - is their top goalscorer this season with 3 goals. They've completely embraced the Stoke City way. As for City, Pep is his own worst enemy, being too controlling. His players, other than KDB, aren't allowed to really think & improvise for themselves like the best players can. In these type of games, up against a nasty, stubborn low-block, the players are supposed to be the ones to figure it out & pull out a piece of magic to unlock a low-block. It's all too easy to stop City. Just drop super deep & sit tight & they'll do nothing but go sideways & backwards until De-Bruyne lumps in a cross, at least trying to do something different than ball-recycling. Grealish would be perfect if he would let him play & stop restricting him to boring ball-recycling. Just him improvise without fear of being benched & these low-blocks would get a whole lot simpler to overcome.
