It's not as if the poor little mite isn't paid enough money is it? This argument about modern footballers, who earn modern footballers wages, being overplayed, is laughable.
Super unironic that after Rodri was saying that players could go on strike due to the congested games and then goes and gets injured probably due to the stress of games. His point proven ✅
@@GIBBO4182 i agree, there is no need to get a nation league who only provides a WC or Euro ticket, then you rather give extra spots in the Qualification. And use all the international friendly before a WC or Euro's so they can shape the team more. It is now tooo much so the Quality of games will be go backwords
It’s their job. I work 9 hours a day 5/6 days a week they train for probably 2 hours a day and play twice a week. I also have a bad back don’t see my saying I’m going to strike
As a Liverpool fan I would always prefer to play a City side without Rodri, but still you cant wish a season ending injury on anyone. He's one of the few players that has had to guts to speak out against the insane fixture congestion, and also the first to pay the price of it this season. Its just terrible for him, i do hope he recovers fast and recovers well.
As much as i hate Man City for 115, Michael Oliver etc. As an Arsenal fan, but also fan of top-level football, I feel very sorry for Rodri. Certainly one of the best players in the world. Even if he is a rival, he is also a person experiencing a personal tragedy. I wish you a speedy recovery and return to the pitch.
^, countless times this blockhead gets bailed out by refs or tries to act like he isn’t a sturdy dm. Then complains more than anybody/ harasses the ref
@@headshot100 Frr as much as I hate how good he is and that he doesn't play for Liverpool, I'm not exactly happy that he's injured. It will start with him and end up happening to all the other world class player and football will lose its touch when all the great players become like Van Basten or smth and have to retire earlier.
@@DesiusDoesStuffso much toxicity in this comment section😂 my wishes going to him being well not hoping city have a downfall. Just sadistic and pathetic
Mark yesterday:" Rodri is overacting". His chat was celebrating his Ballondor loss. And now he pretends to be neutral when he kept denying his ACL injury.
I’m an Arsenal fan, not celebrating anything. I want to beat City at their best and I would never be happy for someone’s injury especially a serious one.
Any football fan would want a player of Rodri’s quality to be playing. Such a shame to have his talent away from the game. At his age may never be the same again.
Hopefully Rodri can still fight the congested schedule and for the rights of players whilst recovering. He’s absolutely right, the schedule is ridiculous.
@@jackrutherford966 Not a city fan, but how are Arsenal fans crying about refs that game? No joke, I'm just asking questions here, but couldn't we argue that both Arsenal goals were a bit dodgy? I think if it were city scoring those 2 goals we would all be screaming corruption, right?
He is a massive blow for you so called Man City supporters. He was the brick in the defence wall for City and can not be replaced by any other city player. Best of luck city youre gonna need it.😊
He will never be the same again. Once that ACL is gone it's gone for good, replacement parts are all well n good but it will never feel the same..speaking from exp
These are professional athletes. They won’t be the same, yes that’s true, but they can still reach high levels. Same with all injuries. Ronaldo Nazario’s kneecap exploded and he still put on an incredible world cup performance. Van Dijk’s ACL was torn because of a deliberate scissor tackle by Pickford (no red card???), and he is still one of the best in the world.
This is proven wrong at professional level. We don’t have the same access to care they do mate. My acl is done, rodris after the best surgeon in Madrid and best physio in the world down in Dubai, hell be fine. Timber did his acl last season he played over 100min yesterday
Not necessarily. Azpilicueta did his ACL before he joined Chelsea and still became one of the most reliable defenders for a decade. You usually need a full season to get back to your best though.
Can’t stand Rodri but it’s never nice seeing players get serious injuries like this. Hopefully he recovers well. Luckily there’s advancements in treatment these days that it’s not career ending anymore. Interesting to see how City cope now because their depth in that position isn’t of great quality and I don’t think Gundogan can play every game anymore.
As an Arsenal fan, I definitely don’t celebrate this. The best player in the world in his position not being able to do what he does best is a huge shame for the sport. City are still favourites without him and rightfully so. Hoping that he heals up nicely.
It's a huge blow but I think Man city will come out on top. They've got a strong squad depth and there're players who can play in that position. Spain won the Euro without him. Man city started the league good without him. Kevin was out half the season and the still won the premier League.
As an Arsenal fan, I'd be lying if i said there wasn't a small part of me that's happy at this news. But on a human level, you have to feel for the guy. Becoming the martyr for his own very valid points about fixture congestion. Hope he can use such a serious injury as the platform to fight against the current absurd fixture list, and I wish him a smooth and speedy recovery.
@@KarmaKahn I think they are slightly worse yeah but they have the biggest and most depth to their squad I have no sympathy for them lol. Even stones was playing there at one point
TBH I come from a generation where if you want to win you want to play against the best. Otherwise the opposition will always say we didn't have a certain player that's why you won. The same as I wouldn't want Pep to leave just yet. as a Chelsea fan in the next couple of years we will definitely be going for the title nothing would be more sweeter than seeing Pep's face when you've taken his crown off him.
Rodri was the glue for Manchester City so there goes their season. Most importantly wish him the best with his recovery. This makes things game on for the title so all contenders will have to step up because they will be vulnerable.
As a Liverpool fan, I've often wished Rodri might miss a few games with an injury. I would never wish an ACL injury on any player because you have a long and lonely road to recovery, but it certainly mixes things up a bit.
@@IIIIIIIIII-w4m KDB will carry city now mark my words, last season they had no KDB for most of the season and still coped well without him, now those 2 are switched
Arsenal fans are covering up their tears with "City are rattled" 😂WTF? Arsenal fans have no motivation so they're creating their own delusions to be happy 😂
Yep, Arteta’s team is too emotional to win anything outright so they play dirty. It’s sick behavior. They do it on corners too which is why they score from them.
You're spot on, no one wishes injury on any players on a personal level, but every fan beside city would "like" this in a "we got a chance now" way. No one can deny it 🙌
@@ballackKalale-y9e Fair point, but if you support Ipswich, West Ham, Spurs, who ever - you got to be tired of the juggernaut winning every year? I might be wrong, but i just figure everybody wants them of the throne..
City with Rodri in the team have an insane win rate: 4/11 loss rate last season. There's no replacement for him. He's not a Ballon D'or heir apparent for nothing.
When i remeber brfore the match premier league released a video of rodri saying you have to win at the opponents ground an di think arsenal targeted him from the start, guy deseves the ballon dor
This injury will be the difference between Arsenal finishing 2 points behind City and actually winning the title. He’s the best CDM in the world right now and without him, City aren’t as good ad they are with it.
Gooner here. I'm not celebrating it. It was similar to Arsenal 2022/23 when we were going on a run then Jesus got injured. Though we seems to managed, but overall it affected us that season.
Rodri is a massive player to lose but Pep has seen many replacements, like Lewis, Stones, Kovačić, Akanji, etc. I hope he gets well. I hope he can still perform when he comes back.
Rodri blocks Havertz path to the press in the first 3s of the game, flops to the ground and stays there for 7min like a 4 year old having a boo-boo. Karma comes back and snaps his cruciate. What a shame.
