MrsTurtlehugger lol? You are joking right? Ive been bitten many many times, by both ball pythons and much much larger species. Even the worst bite never rips body parts off. I mean a big reticulated python could easily leave you needing stitches, but a ball python removing a thumb? Seems like an exaggeration to me..... Ive literally never heard of any snake ever taking off fingers. Some of the super toxic species of snakes can make your limbs rott off over time from the venom, but even they cant physically rip off a finger.

Hamsters are demons incarnate, but rat bites hurt like a bitch as well. I recently had to have one of my boys neutered because he was aggressively biting. Drenched a whole napkin in blood from one bite and there's another from a month ago that is still healing.

Okay look, small animals don't typically bite. And to the person who said your rat bit you, ya I can almost guarantee that it's your fault. Rats are less likely to bite then a leopard gecko is. Most of the time small animal bites are due to the humans fault. I would research into it before jumping to conclusions and saying you have an aggressive animal.

From my experience, you can feel the pressure, but not the teeth, and it’s a challenge all in itself to get one to bite. I never intentionally get bitten, but it’s really hard to even get tagged by a pet Leopard Gecko

My girl Iris was from a breeder but was already used to hand feeding. She frequently misses which doesnt hurt, but usually still spooks me. Today she somehow managed to get the thin top layer of my skin next to my finger, still didn't hurt or bleed, more impressive than anything

man I spooked my Leo and he bit me so bad he wouldn't let go for about 30 minutes I didn't know what to do so I googled it (while he was still attached to one of my fingers lol) and it said blow on his nose it worked but he left me bleeding pretty badly

My cats are very good natured but one time my female cat went into a serious panic and was just not acting like herself. I finally just had to grab her by the scruff of the neck and hold her down on the ground while I stared at her and said "Stop. Its ok. Stop" She was back to her normal self within seconds. It's hard to explain to someone how you can feel that way for most of your life, but owning them opens your eyes to sides of them you never realized and they capture your heart. Some are very affectionate, I've had monitors, beardies that have literally hugged me, pressing their chins hard into your body seeking return of affection. It's kind of mind blowing when you have no idea about this side of them.

I think it depends where you're bitten. I was bit just above the cuticle on my finger and it bled. It also leaves a sort of.. papercut-like mark.

Lol it's funny because literally the first day I got Pisces I finished setting up his tank and I didn't realize that I was rummaging through his tank trying to make everything perfect (first time gecko owner,over excited) and he got so spooked and bit me! 💯😂😂 it's was so fast that I thought I hit him or something but he didn't draw any blood or anything but I was so shocked because I've never been bit before Nd I calmed him down Nd when I thought about it I was like wow! what a way for him to say 'get out my new home' !😂😂😂

when I first got one of my leopard geckos, it was extremely aggressive and every time I got my hand near him he would take a chunk out of my finger. It took a lot of me working with him, but now he is the most tame animal I have.

My 3 year old leopard gecko bit my nose whilst I tried to kiss him.... he managed to break the skin and it bled a lot, after about 1 day it scabbed and healed... I've never seen this behavior in him but it was a 2 day phase of bad behavior. Also, I love your channel!❤

Take it to a vet college. One of the instructors/professors/veterinarians might be willing to help you. They may view it as a challenge and charge you little to no funds. You would probably have to sign a release for filming, not to hold libel if it dies in procedure, or for any aftereffects. That is all I can come up with. Maybe someone else has a better idea?

One of my geckos was really stressed when I first got him and I made the mistake of trying to handle him. He bit my finger pretty bad because he didn’t let go and got deep. He left a scar but I’m glad he did because it’s something I can always remember him by :)

any lizard can bite hard if it feels threatened. lizards aren't dumb animals and don't put their whole bite force into eating bugs, because it would be a waste of energy. if you pissed that gecko off it could most certainly make you bleed. male leopard geckos have very large muscles in their jaws for fighting other males in mating season and to hold and out power the female when mating, just like alot of other male lizards. your video is misleading but I will give you a like because you seem nice.

My Geckos usually just ignore me. Unless I do the following: Dorado: Make a little noise. Autumn: Show her either an Insect, or the Color Black for some reason. Both: Squirt them, Handle and Touch them, and Feed them.

That’s crazy. I had a leopard gecko he wasn’t mean or anything, but every time I would feed him he would always put up his tail and shake it back and forth like a rattle snake before pouncing. I moved him to my a different cage to clean out his current cage, and when I let him go and started to pull my hand away he pounced on my finger. It didn’t hurt bad, but I was like ow. My gf started laughing until I pulled my hand out, and it started pouring blood all the way down my forearm.

my leopard gecko has given me permanent scars on my fingers when i first got him, if it is a bite when they feel threatened, it draws a lot of blood, a LOT...

For those wondering, geckos can cut the skin if they bite you depending on where they bite you, my gecko has bitten me in the nose because I had taken a bearded dragon out before hand and is just my nose pretty good however there was almost no pain from the bite itself, not to long after that I was feeding my gecko when he thought my finger was food and he bit my finger, it didn't do anything and there was no pain, it just shows you that geckos don't have strong Bites and you should be more worried about your gecko taking a sudden dart.

Thank you so much for all the information in your videos . I recently received my Leo as a Xmas/bday gift. I am super in love with him and wanted to start bonding with him however I wanted to do as much research before just sticking my hand in and scaring him.

One of my three geckos just bit me for the first time I dropped him but caught him thankfully, he is my oldest too so it caught me the most off guard he had a bad shed so I tired helping him with a moist qtip while he was in my palm I looked away for a second and he bit me and I mean HARD I was actually bleeding. I was so surprised cause he’s is such a sweet little guy never even tried to before such an odd event.
