Brendan is an excellent example of how the world really works. It's all about networking, who you know. He has managed to make an entire career off of being friends with Joe Rogan.
You’re waiting on a video from a man hating on another man who’s out here doing things he can’t. Keep hating, just admit he’s a great comedian and this new special proved you guys wrong!
Schaub's bad at comedy the same way this "youtuber" is bad at editing videos. The only reason he even gets clicks is because of Schaub. When he finally moves out of his mom's house at the ripe age of 40 he should make another video thanking Schaub along with all the other successful people he bashes from the luxury of his mom's basement.
The Taquito/Keto 'joke' was actually from an episode of JRE where Brandon repeatedly and redactedly referred to the Keto diet as the Taquito diet. Cool how he made his mother in law look like the moron instead of admitting it was him tho.
When I heard someone say one of his jokes was: “My wife told me, ‘Go grab those Mexican cookies.”, so I told her, ‘Mexican cookies? What is that? Chocolate chip cookies…WITH SALSA!!’” I was certain it was a troll lying so I checked for myself and yes….this was an actual joke that he worked hours on.
What a terrible joke , i too thought it was a troll and he could not be that bad , wow he is worse . Rogan and rest of Rogan sycophants did schaub no favors by telling him he should do comedy cause this is worse than his MMA career where he could at least be completive with mid tier fighters .
Inflation, war, shootings... Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, Brendan opened his botox'd lips again. If it wasn't for Beige I wouldn't be able to laugh at this absurdity
Yeah this is the first place anybody has made fun of it ever. Not even like Speaking already made this same video. Glad you can laugh though you loose wet turd brain idiot
It's inexplicable to me that Brandon, who's spent his adult life in Los Angeles, and is addressing a crowd in Texas, apparently thinks huevos rancheros is some exotic Mexican dish. Anyone, anywhere who has so much as set their pinky toe in a Mexican restaurant knows what these dishes are and how they're pronounced. You're allowed to fudge a bit on the premise of your jokes, but his premises are so mystifyingly wide of the mark for payoffs that in no way redeem them.
@@Lawviathan bruh , being from Mexico ...it was hard watching this , I'm of the thought he only ate the resort food in mexico when he went .... He literally just named things Chicanos do in LA and passed it off as authentic mexican
Lmao yeah, the dude is in THE most Mexican place not named Mexico and is talking about the culture like it's a completely foreign concept. Not only is he bad at telling jokes, he's bad at knowing his audience.
"Flying out of Schaub's mouth like drunken Outlaws getting defenestrated in a western movie" is funnier as a single sentence then the entirety of this special
Your analysis of shitty stand ups are comparable to Red Letter Media's analysis of shitty movies. Never will I subject myself to a minute of Schob's "stand ups", but I've watched all your videos on him at least twice. Keep suffering for our sake Beige.
@@BeigeFrequency you’re so jealous of Brendan. Keep hating cause he’s out doing things you can’t. His special is far better than Dave Chappelle’s last special everyone was saying was sooooo good. Lol what a joke. Gringo Papi is the second best special to come out in the last 5 years, right after “You’d Be Surprised”. Keep hating on the GOAT.
The comedy world is turning on him. A club owner recently exposed him for only selling 20 tickets to his show. I feel like a second documentary may be needed in a few months
Good. I hope he boxes himself out all circles. Dude is a shameless liar. If he was smarter, he’d go into politics because he sure is comfortable with lying to people and just swaying with the popular opinions and stances.
“Yo we got a mountain lion problem ya’ll. Comedy Gold”. The narrator burns Brendan consistently and thoroughly for 15 minutes straight. This guy is a treasure.
Don't think it could get worse? Could he make a new special titled something awful like "The Gringo Papi" and it be worse than his previous special before? Well I got an answer for you, and I think "you'd be surprised" by it
I dont get it .. who is carlton? carlin wouldve made sense… schaub is a baller. Just because you his cant understand his style doesnt mean its objectively bad. I put him up there with B ill Hicks and Dave Attell, one of the greats. Come on, he practically carries Theo. You guys are are a bunch of jealous trolls.
I have never laughed at one thing Schaub has ever said, on a podcast or on stage. I want to say I cant believe Rogan ever told him he was funny, but knowing Rogan's comedy I actually can believe it.
I laugh any time he talked about one of his MMA fights or grappling matches in retrospect. His delusions of grandeur in both his accomplishments and skills are fucking bonkers.
Rogan has had a couple of funny moments on his podcast when he's not trying to be a comedian. As a comedian, Rogan is a joke. It's hard to say he's any better than Shaub really.. Just a bit more intelligent and sophisticated in the way he puts his performance together. But in terms of how funny Rogan's stand up is, and how much it makes me laugh - Rogan and Shaub are essentially equally terrible..
They’re both bad comedians but are popular enough and successful enough to make each believe they’re genuinely that funny. The worst is when Rogan talks about the business and craft of standup comedy as if he’s some living legend, and it’s rubbed off on Schaub who now likes to talk about the business of comedy as if his comedy specials were cash cows and a big drawl.
Everyone said this show was a Trainwreck so I watched it not knowing anything ahead of time. without foreknowledge of the show, I actually thought that he was going to burst into tears at a couple points in the second half. Like there was this profound desperation to his jokes that seemed like it was leading to him becoming self aware and having a shame fueled breakdown
Here's the thing: my wife is actually a "not Taco Bell" Mexicana, from Michoacan, and immigrated to the US about a decade ago, unlike Schaub's wife (who was born in LA, if I'm not mistaken). I'm no comedian, but I can't imagine dedicating half of my material towards making fun of her accent, family, or heritage and still expecting her to touch my "thiccc boi". But seriously, I have no illusions that being married to her gives me some kind of pass to insult her cultural identity, or make up wild and untrue stories about her history. I don't know, maybe Schaub's wife truly loves him, but it's hard to imagine that she isn't at least a little embarrassed by the "jokes" he tells at the expense of her and her family.
I would say most rich and famous people have open marriages so she’s aloud do what she wants look at McGregor he has a family and 3 kids but he would cheat on he’s wife girlfriend first chance he gets Apparently he was with Rita Ora so wouldn’t surprise me.
She posted a picture of her and her entire family sitting in the living room with a caption like "about to watch the new special with the fam!" Wonder what that was like 😬
He called his wife a rattlesnake and called his kids monsters. Not that successful comedians haven't done that before, but then, anything is allowable in comedy if it actually makes people laugh. In Schaub's case, it just ends up seeming like gratuitous ill will.
I would like to challenge everybody to watch the full 25 minutes of this. Use it as a comedy palate cleanser. I did it, and have seen 2 other specials since then and they were incredible. The air was fresher, colors were brighter, everything was better. Thanks B
Lol I unintentionally did that. I stopped like 10 minutes in and watched a Lee Mack stand up routine live at the Apollo. He's a British comedian for people who don't know. Not the best comedian ever but after Brendan I was just in tears of laughter and saying "Now that's a comedian "
Everyone hating on this special and Brendan (aka the GOAT) simply because they are jealous. His stand up is far better than Theo Von, Bobby Lee, etc. the only one that beats him is Dave chappelle MAYBE. Keep hating y’all, jealous haters.
It genuinely took me about 3 hours to watch a half hour special, because I had to keep pausing it to take breaks from the 2nd hand embarrassment, and I was determined to sit through the entire thing, just so I wasn't labelled a "hater"
I sat through his first special to see for myself what his comedy is like and form my own opinion, yknow give him a fair chance. Man, that first special was so bad that it was enough to make me feel confident that his second special would be terrible. I don’t even have to watch the second special to know it’s that bad.
Dude, the "tell jokes in his pants" line got me so good lmao. I didn't expect to laugh at that as much as I did. Your seemingly caustic sense of humor paired with your "flat" delivery is really interesting, but it works really well. You do good research, obviously, but I don't know if you get enough credit for how funny you are, as well.
@Joe Forge This vid is full of references to dumb things BS has said, like George "Carlton." What's more likely? Beige just happens to screw up the exact same words and names BS butchers, or Beige is intentionally referencing this guy's funniest failures to speak the only language he knows?
I was literally just rewatching your Schaub documentary and thinking "damn I hope Biege makes a video about the new special". Beast of a werk ethnic bapa
Your drawings are gettin’ so much better each time dude. Was really excited to hear your thoughts on this. Kinda amazing that someone who records like….20 hours of podcasts a week can’t at least string together a couple of interesting premises incidentally. Also mysterious he can’t hire any random person who wants to be a cinematographer to make his special look good with some DSLR’s
Its the biggest sign that brendan shouldnt be doing stand up. If you put in almost a decade of practice into something and you havent improved, AT ALL then i think its time to come down to reality bapa.
For sure the art is looking technically better but my fav is still Quinton. I guess you're good and making the art look like the people's personalities.
I’d say that watching his special was like watching a car accident I couldn’t turn away from, but a car accident has never given me an unsettling amount of secondhand embarrassment.
@JBSilverstein205 I’m not the one in this thread who’s basic enough to watch The Office. I’ll defer to your expertise on the matter though, clearly you’re well versed enough for me to trust your in-depth knowledge on the subject.
I hadn't heard of this "special" until now. I would have preferred to stay ignorant of its existence but if I have to be educated about it, a Beige video is my preferred delivery method.
It's all your fault. I had a good job as a carpenter, a family, and friends. Now I'm a homeless cat, and I don't madder. Only place I could find work was the dish pit at PF changs.
I actually just finished it and it’s awfully funny and Beige is absolutely dead-on in his assessment. Besides, with this channel, great content is almost assured the moment I click on it. In fact, it gets a like before I’ve seen a second of it…you’re not going to call the RU-vid police on me, are you?! As far as Sad Boys 1996…go fuck yourself, moron.
Its legit middle school humor. Just pick any ethnicity and make fun of their culture all while using a bad accent. For Schaub, the punchline is that he said many things in a Mexican accent, or that the thing he was referring to was Mexican. He’s F’ing corny and this special was terrible lmao
Yeah it's such lazy writing. If you're going to go there and make fun of Mexican cuisine you could easily just talk about how terrible pandulse is because it tastes like suger mixed with dry wall and you can break a car window with a stale one. Or anything like that? Simply saying a cookie with salsa is so basic and racist.
@@lynchinjesus It's lazy because Brendan's been punched in the head too often. . . . Actually, that sounds a bit harsh. It's more likely because he hasn't been punched in the head often enough. Either way, he's so utterly unfunny that everything he says or does becomes hilarious, and not for *any* of the reasons Brendan thinks. Which is funny in itself.
I legit laughed for a solid 5 minutes because of the Mexican cookie joke I didn't think it was possible for comedy to be so bad it's good, but Mistah Schaub did it
I’m not even going to lie a part of me really wants to see the fully unedited cut of all these ‘sets’ that they spliced together for this ‘special’. I’m almost willing to take that hit and watch them all.
No it isn't. In the grand scheme of things, the guy is completely irrelevant. As the saying goes: A rising tide lifts all boats. Including garbage barges. Compared to some of the dreck the '90s stand-up boom inflicted on us, riding the coattails of the people who were actually good at it, Schaub is a total nothing. If you don't seek his shit out, he might as well not exist. He's not ubiquitous like some of those '90s oxygen thieves were for several years. Rob Schneider comes to mind. Stand-up comedy in the 1990s was a lot like punk rock in the 1970s - or podcasts nowadays, for that matter. A few really good acts all got somewhat popular around the same time, a few more less-good ones got super-popular and made tons of money for the record companies, then everybody who could climb on stage without breaking their necks got signed - and it all went into the toilet.
The stupidity of Brendan Schaub is evident and the craziest part about him sucking so badly at comedy is he has all these very funny friends(Theo Von, Chris Delia ect)that are too scared of him to tell him that he sucks and everyone thinks so🤦😆
@@-Dildo.Baggins. I love how this isn’t even exaggerated. He’s going to run out of family, and friends eventually. He can’t keep buying all of the tickets himself.
Sometimes I wonder if Rogan ever looks at this dude and has a Dr. Frankenstein moment where he realizes he's unleashed a monster upon the comedy world.
If I was in the middle of the birth of my child, I would immediately unclench my wifes hand and find 15 minutes and 14 seconds worth of privacy. That's how excited I am to watch this.
Worst part is he thinks he’s “leaning into the subreddit now”…. But he’s not he just acknowledges it but still claims it’s “attacks, radical, toxic, harassment” and still hasn’t taken ANY accountability for the Bobby Lee crap. He’s getting WORSE talking about comedy like he even knows anything about it at all. His friends are getting sick of it and he’s surrounded by weirdos and wieners. Reep want you sole bapa.
First time comedy specials are probably a lot like debut albums, it's the culmination of material the artist has been crafting over the course of their life. The follow up is the true test of artistry.
