How Bad Was X-Men Apocalypse? 

You didn't even mention some of the X men are supposed to be in their late 40's early 50's (Beast would be in his early 60's by this point) and yet no aging effects were used on any of them.

Apocalypse should have been treated like Thanos. You should feel that terror and desperation when he is around.

This film is another example of studios making films & not understanding the source material or the audience!!!!!! They took a compelling villain, depowered him & his minions & turned in a lame a$$ script. Don’t get me started on the awful Mr Sinister Easter Egg which is out of chronology, Sinister should’ve been the next villain in line before facing Apocalypse...I think this could’ve given the character more weight & led to a better narrative...jussayin

X-men Evolution made me feel scared about Apocalypse when he was revived. Not to mentioned when people supposedly thought Magento, Professor X, Storm, and Mystique were killed.

When "FOX" did "First Class" I thought it was the original line up of X-Men? they gave Mystique a whole different origin, then when Apocalypse was brought in No original Horse Men, they just use more X-Men?? Yes they did do that Ivan ooze joke long before Apocalypse first showed up ,

Any "flaws" are taken completely out of context and or blown completely out of proportion. Personally, I don't think this movie is much better or worse than Avengers: Age of Ultron. If you know anything about Ultron and how scary he's supposed to be....

I really looked forwd to Apocalypse, both the movie and villain, but both were very disappointing. During the movie, I kept waiting for more, then it turned out that was it.

It's not as good as X-men: Days of future past or Deadpool, But at least it's better than The Fantastic Four reboot.

Oh well, at least we still have Logan, Deadpool 1 and 2 and X-Men First Class and TV shows like Legion and the Gifted.

I don’t think it is a bad movie. At most, I think it is fine. It is no where near the best of this franchise, but it is definitely better than the Last Stand, Origins: Wolverine and Dark Phoenix. I thought the performances were still good for the most part, and parts of the story mainly with Magneto and Quicksilver were the best parts of the movie, but the story was pretty clunky and Apocalypse was a pretty generic villain. I agree with you on Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, she seemed like she was just phoning it in with this film, and especially the next.

Correction to the author Apocalypse means revelation, you want to destroy all the humans and recreate it in his image hence god like ego inclinations, its pretty clear Apocalypse represents evolution of man paradoxically coming from the past

So yeah, X-Men Apocalypse is just "meh!" For me. I mean, I didn't see this movie in theaters when it came out. But, I did streamed it on my laptop, and I only thought it was okay, but just not as good as Logan, Deadpool 1 and 2, X-Men First Class and the Extended Extended cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past in my opinion. Still, I take this movie over X-Men Origins: Wolverine and X-Men: The Last Stand, anyday.

I just watched this today funnily enough, and its honestly a pretty good film and my personal 2nd favourite X men, 1 being first class and 3rd being future past (this isn't an April fool's joke btw)

Bad direction of the story and incohorent story. The villain and the 4 mutants that became part of his "team" were badly reunited. I love X-Men but this was 💩

The problem with the X-men movies is that they are not chronologically connected. They reinvent the backstory and readapt it to what the movie "could" be steered into, but fail because if you twist the character's storyline enough, people just don't connect to it. Regardless of this being a superhuman movie, it's all about heroes and villains, and this universe fails big-time where the MCU managed to make it work. And that's character development, storyline continuity, and a human dimension of the personna of each of them. The plot could be better, I personally enjoyed apocalypse, as well as some other ones... Even x-men 3 is better built than some aspects. It sucks on cgi level but the story looks to be more connected. And it has the original Phoenix / Jean, which is awesome...

It was good as were ALL xmen movies. Even 3 which yall call bad, is still a decent movie. I will take the fox x movies over modern disney marvel ALL DAY

Honestly I enjoyed Apocalypse. Wasn't great, but I enjoyed it. A lot of flaws in the film, but not horrible.

You're wrong about the CGI it was actually good just a script motivation and characterization of the characters were bad but the CGI was good that's the only knows good well. And also seen or Quicksilver saves everyone in the Xavier Institute Building which was pretty awesome that's it and their costumes suck

very bad even worse then age of ultron misused and underused iconic characters like cyclops,psylocke,angel/archangel,storm and a bunch of others ruined apocalypse the fact a 90s cartoon did so many things better is kinda sad, lack luster fight scenes, not doing justice to the bits and pieces of various storylines that there were using just a bad movie all around.....very few redeeming qualities at all which it wasn't as bad as it is but such is life.

I’m very familiar with the comic books and all the movies and you’re wrong. This is a pretty good movie and include original Metallica on top of that so shame on you for getting so wrong.

I agree this movie was quite bad but surprisingly better than today's woktarded failed superhero movies, which is depressing.........but I dont get why u keep simping for Jennifer Lawrence. I really didnt care for her or Mystik, and got tired of her having the spotlight. Evan Peters' Quicksilver stole the show despite being in it in the later half of the movie and how they did him dirty at the ending of the movie. To be fair, a lot of male character get dealt dirty in this movie like Archangel, Charles, Beast. Also the female characters like Storm and Psylocke got dealt dirt too but man they did ever do Archangel dirty.

First Class wasn't a good movie.

This was truly the worse in series and I am putting a direct tie with wolverine origins. I watched this recently and only got more and more annoyed. The only scene is worth a damn is quick silver not enough to save the film. People who enjoyed this I have to say standards are non existent. Not to mention they made a sequel that isn't consistent to the story they lined up. Future past suppose to fix everything but only made a line of movies that were worse. Writers need to read a comic and also the movies but this movie showed they read the clip notes.

I didn't read comics but I grew up watching the cartoons and X-men was always my absolute favorite. This movie was absolutely HORRIBLE. Apocalypse is the Thanos of x-men and they completely ruined it.
