SEC refs: just get the calls wrong half the time Pac-12 refs: Don't call ANYTHING AT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL 12 men on the field, holding calls left and right, not seeing a coach frantically wanting a time out. It was egregious for both teams in the Peach bowl.
I thought the refs were fine in the UGA/OSU game, but completely agree they were garbage in the early game and it definitely seemed like a pattern of screwing over Michigan
Ohio State had our number for the first three quarters. I would say my Dawgs survived that game. Ohio State showed they were no joke. I'm actually excited for this coming matchup. If these two teams play like they did last night, it'll be an amazing game. .. Which means one of them will blow the other team out of the water, and the stadium will be half empty before half time is over.
@@stanleywatson6115 they only remember what they choose, they choose to remember winning the game where the two WRs that beat their butt in SEC ship were injured no plays in natty…. But that’s football, you have injuries but sometimes they do affect outcome and in that game it definitely affected outcome but that’s past they’ll might get another crack a the Tide in near future and we’ll see if Kirby can handle Nick again huh
BAMA game was such a pain in the ass to watch. First half BAMA didn’t really do much to stop us, but we were doing great at stopping ourselves good lord. Essentially handed BAMA all the momentum they could ask for and there was no way to come back once behind. BAMA is to good to let that happen. Congrats BAMA on the 11 wins! Glad y’all got that complete game this season finally. Been tough watching such a great team struggle with penalties and play calling. Saturday is how BAMA should’ve been all season, likely would’ve been undefeated with gameplay like that. Hope to see you guys again and maybe our team will come out and freakin execute a good game next time.
@@drewharrell7657 that’s not stopping that’s just scoring. BAMA didn’t do anything to get the ball back on that 4th down. It was literally untouched QB throwing past a wide open man. Alabama defender was falling on the ground behind em. Just Kstate throwing up on themselves. BAMA isn’t really doing much in the first half aside from scoring. Defense was sitting back for 11 minutes and then let the cats decide their own fate.
The only way he leaves is if he can make more money in the league then college. Does Dr. Pepper keep him on if he leaves? Dude has major NIL deals. Money talks.
If you look at OSU's formation, you'll see that the timeout should have been unnecessary if the officials were doing their job. In case you cannot find the snapshot, OSU had 6 linemen, 3 gunners, 2 upbacks, and the punter. 12 players in formation. Since it was the offense side, the refs should have blown the whistle and called the penalty before the ball was snapped.
Bama looked like Bama. They were played pissed off. Surprised it was not worse than it was. Kirby taught Georgia one important point he brought from Bama. There are 4 quarters in a football game. You better play all 4 quarters.
Man had to get the “best receivers being out” line out there😂 we could say the only reason Stroud kept being able to run was because Nolan Smith was out🤷🏽♂️ just how the cookie crumbles big dawg😎🏆
@@MrsBShows yes but also one-sided. He didn't mention the significant injuries UGA dealt with. Nolan Smith would have made a huge difference in defense. Darnell Washington got knocked out of the game too. While he doesn't put up huge numbers, his impact is huge.
Actually that would have had no bearing on the game. When Harrison was in the game y'all got barely any pressure. As Harrison was their safety valve that also opened up the rest of the receivers(doubled a bit more than others). After Harrison injury Georgia blitzed their ass off in 4th opening up stroud to run but no real wr threat after Harrison went down period. Game was over immediately after that injury regardless of score
Definitely some tough calls on my boys, but they had plenty of chances to overcome them. OSU had the game on the foot of their kicker. Great recaps Funnymaine!! You ain't never had no sympathy for the B1G but I can see the respect is starting to grow a lil bit... just a liiill bit! Let's hope we all do it again one last time in the 4 team playoff in 2023, and see if the outcome can be different! 2024 is going to be nuts! Go Blue!
I want Golding to go back and watch the defense when Pruitt was the coordinator and just do it like he did it. Follow every little thing he did down to the letter. We won't even say he is plagerising Pruitt. In fact, we would be happy to agree that he came up with all of it on his own.
To be fair I feel like in any sport injuries play a big role in what the media wants to talk about. Just ignore those who try to discredit great teams. Heck of a game and most people aren't nagging on Georgia for taking advantage of opportunities they cannot control. As a Bama fan I wish we were there, but y'all absolutely deserve to be there. Harrison Jr. wouldn't have made a difference in the field goal attempt if they called the same crappy plays that led to them stalling out around the 33 yd line. Either way what happened cannot be changed, so just enjoy the dub!
Georgia is lucky jamo and metch tore ACLs on turf vs Them thats different then having ur best guy out all year and him coming back but Harrison cant hang with the sec thats not yalls issue thats a contact injury he shouldn't have went for the ball and JSN whimped out they had a month to prepare for yall OSU had the game won they have no excuse whatsoever
Thank you for coming back wit the video; been a drought 😪... Big DAWG best part was about the SEC Refs but boy oh boy them PAC 12 Refs Don't make calls at all... We needed that heads up... And since last night I've been ready for the talk about our opponents no. 1 WRs they were without their best two Bama lost their best two... Good Thang UGA doesn't lose WRs 🤔🙄... Stetson pulled off another 4th qtr delivery... Well TCU has the best WR this year let's see how the natty goes... As always thanks for everything you do!!! GO DAWGS
Thank you Jesus! Fantastic, heart pounding game and kudos to Stroud and OSU. OSU played a well fought, hard game and are a great team! GO DAWGS! Sometimes, luck is better than talent, UNLESS, you can spot the fake punt! 😁
The fake punt that shouldn't have been let happened since OSU had 12 players on the field. SaturdayDownSouth has an article about it with screencaps of the play showing12 players.
@@Decade_of_the_Dawg It's been an uphill battle for TCU all season long. They don't ever underestimate their opponents. Georgia is top dog. TCU is the underfrog. Glory to God. ✝Go Frogs! 🐸🩸
You can’t get any closer than that… Despite that loss, I’m definitely proud of my team and played one hell of a game. Call us soft all you want, we did WAY better than we all thought we would. Plus I’m glad to see Michigan lose worse than we did! GG Georgia. See you all next season! ✌️OH-IO #GoBucks
As a Georgia fan y’all gave a great fight. It came to down the final few seconds. In the end the kicker missed winning the game for the dawgs. It was a great game either way
Great game, you guys had all the chips on your shoulders. Everybody gave you material to practice to and it worked for the most part. You guys showed up. GG Ohio State.
Georgia's best defensive player is injured..darnell Washington broke his ankle. Our offense runs through him bit nobody ever talks about Georgia overcoming injuries.
Our entire offense changed when Washington went down. A lot of pulls and motions are predicated on him sealing the edge which he does like no one else.
@JB get your head out of his butt and be serious. Did you even watch those 2 games yesterday. Those were the 4 teams that deserved to be there and they all 4 proved it. All 4 of those teams could have beat Bama the way they played yesterday.
That game was TOO close! I’m still shaking!! 😂😅 But wait, FunnyMaine, Ga lost some key players too!! (Why is it that when UGA wins, it’s only because the other team had a hurt player?! 🤔 But no one mentions our hurt players…key players. Smh lol. Siiigh, it’s ok. As a fan of Ga sports all my life, I should be used to it.😏) #GoDawgs
@@sirpope9202 lol last I checked Ohio state and Bama recruits just as many 4 and 5 star players on both sides of the ball as Georgia. When starters go out it impacts your team. Saying that it's only defense and GA has plenty and thus it's not the same is irresponsible at best. Not to mention our starting TE went down early on offense. Both teams laid everything on the field. Like it or not, and despite losing most of its defense to tnt NFL draft.. Georgia will be playing for another national championship in 8 days.
@@larrymormon6525 I feel you but idk, imagine losing y’all top 3 targets on offense (JSN been out all year, Marvin emerge this season but gets hurt, and Cade stover big red zone target.)
If Bama had played like this all year, they might have been in the playoffs! Just my opinion. I had to feel sorry for Ohio State’s kicker though. Too much pressure!
To be fair we lost Darnell Washington and Ladd Mckonkey who's been our WR1 the whole year with AD Mitchell out since week 2. Then we lost every OLB starter in the 2nd half lol. I said whoever wins this game is hobbling into the natty
@Korey Valentine clearly they aren't the more complete team if all anyone can mention is how they lost because of injuries, while Georgia had even more of them. A complete team doesn't fall apart when their 2nd string players come in. Njigba hasn't played the entire season, so that's not a valid excuse either. Mckonkey and Darnell went down before Harrison did, then we had 3 linebackers leave the game with cramps. We had 2 starting offensive lineman that didn't play, and arguably the best player on the team (besides Jalen Carter)Nolan Smith didn't play. Our WR1 AD Mitchell played his first game since week 2 and clearly wasn't 100%. None of that matters though because Georgia has depth, a key thing to have late in a season.
The weirdest part of yesterday wasn’t even TCU dragging their nuts all over the Khakis, or Ohio State beating Georgia everywhere but the scoreboard. It was the Sugar Bowl being played at 11 am!!! Whose idea was that?!?!
"Back and fourth" for the UGA v OSU is hilarious 😂 UGA lead twice for a total of 1 minute and 49 seconds. Other than that OSU controlled it all game long and Stroud proved he deserves the hype around his game but UGA just made the 1 play they needed at the very end. Tough break for OSU
Isn't it insane to think the level of play that came from the 3 losing Heisman candidates and the guy that won was sitting at home watching the games on the couch. I seriously hate the Heisman and everything it don't stand for n
I am huge Bama fan and it hurts not to go but I rather not go until we house clean OC and DC. Could be embarrassing. Our players are as or better than any of the 4 teams in playoffs. Need new OC that is creative and not predictable like Bill O'brien is. We also need a DC. How many points does an Alabama defense give up to even great teams? No where near what we are doing right now. Anyway, thanks for the videos and thanks to all our players, much respect and appreciation for you guys. RTR.
Bama also lacked discipline this year like it was Saban’s first year there. That also hurt Bama. If Bama should have been in then so should Tennessee who had the same record and won the head to head. Playoff expansion can’t get here soon enough.
I’m a UGA fan and I thought Alabama was going to win the the Natty in the preseason. Now here I am for first time in a while being on the other side of a heartbreaker where the team that won didn’t look great till the 4th quarter.
@@dorseydimpleman4900 Next time don’t lose 2 games and nearly lose to a train wreck like A&M. CFP had nothing to do with it, last I checked Alabama was holding the gun when they got shot in the foot.
@@AAblade7 If we had the luxury of playing all of our hard games at home like GA then we probably wouldn't have lost. you would get smoked by bama just like every time you play them. daddy will be back soon dont worry
@@dorseydimpleman4900 I thought it was just the quality of Alabama’s second string that had fallen off. I didn’t realize the quality of Alabama fan trash talk has fallen off as well. Really your going to whine about scheduling? I guess if you can’t beat Tennessee, you decided to join them.
I only see 3 going in the first but somewhere between 10 & 13 total -- it's hard to say with respect to the O-linemen. Ekiyor, Steen, and Cohen could go day 3 or teams could just say "priority UDFA." I think To'oto'o really hurt himself in the back half the season so he might be in the same boat. So I'm counting Bryce, Will, and Branch in the first. Gibbs, Battle, Byron Young, DJ Dale, Latu and Moore are definitely drafted. Does Ricks declare or return? Don't think I'm missing anyone, but it's possible with 300+ names out there.
@@crazylife7324 actually I forgot Hellams. Ik he got toasted by Hyatt but he's just a safety so I don't dock him much for that game -- depending on team drafting and how they plan to use him obviously. But I still think he gets picked so yeah I think 10 is the floor.
@@boobookittyfuck3344 it's Bama, every year is a rebuild year. But as of right now they have the No. 1 recruiting class coming in with with 28 5 & 4 star recruits with the No. 1 & 3 quarterbacks in the nation plus everybody else. Of course some will go to the portal if they don't receive immediate play but that seems to be the norm.
Go Horn Frogs. I'm just glad the Big 12 finally got past the first round. Now I will be the first to tell you that I will be shock IF TCU wins. I'm expecting Georgia to win there consecutive national championship. Also another thing now that I think about this I don't know anybody's name on that Georgia defense they just a bunch of no names. Now that's a good ass defense we're not just one player stands out.
I'm a Bama fan. However, I got what I wanted: TCU vs. Georgia. I like both schools, so I'll be happy with either one of them winning the National Championship.
It's all about depth. As Bama fans, you guys should know that. You guys had 5⭐s rotate out to replace other 5⭐s when you played teams. Who could compete when your 2nd string was as good as the 1st string?! Fortunately, NIL has come along and leveled the playing field for every team. However, I do admit NILs need to be more regulated. Next man up. Injuries happen. Next man gotta step up. Our second best defensive lineman went out for the season weeks ago. The pass rush seemingly went with him. That's just one key injury the Dawgs suffered this season. (There were key season ending injuries last season too.) Dawgs are still finding a way to survive and advance. That's what championship programs do.... they survive and advance. Then again, BAMA NATION already knew that. Dawgs will represent the SEC well in the NCG.
Don't worry with 12 team playoff, uga and Bama will be going at it for years to come.. Folks complaining about the SEC just made a big mistake by allowing multiple sec teams in... Oh well
Bittersweet win. What could’ve been with Bryce at 100% and without the 17 and 15 penalties per game. We whip the big 12 champions and Georgia plays the big 12 runners up for the title. Doesn’t seem right. Can’t wait for the expanded playoffs.
I remember seeing people online saying the CFP games this year were gonna be the most boring games in history. Were those games boring y’all? I don’t think they were boring
Like I tell my friend that’s a Texas A&M fan. College football wouldn’t be fun to watch if the same team won every year. They can’t make everybody else look bad all the time.
Everybody else has to get good then. I get it I want my team to hoist the CFP Championship trophy but that won't happen until we get good enough to pry it from Alabama's hands. OSU, Clemson, LSU and Georgia did it so can we and every other team if we put in the work necessary to do it.
@@joeclaridy In my personal opinion, and also stating the obvious, to be a winning team, you have to have a coach that knows how to win. My former high school is a prime example. Prior to a few seasons ago, they had a combined record of 9-46 over the previous five seasons. As of this past October, the current coach, in his second year, has a combined record of 21-4.
As someone who hates seeing Bama win it all Ive gotta say, this was the type of season that makes me happy that the playoff expanded, Tennessee and Bama both had good enough seasons to deserve their shot at it, and it is HARD to beat a GOOD team in the same season twice.
the cfp just gifted Georgia a natty. they need to start having conference bans or weights. 1 loss in the big 12 should be equal to 3-4 losses in the SEC. You shouldn't get criticized for playing a harder schedule. Next thing we know they are going to start putting in undefeated community colleges just because they are "undefeated" lol. this national championship game will be such a joke. but im sure they will learn their lesson. on top of that GA gets a home playoff game every single season.........
Harrison Jr. had a great first quarter, but didn't catch a pass for the next quarter and a half that he was in the game. Dawgs had several starters go down in this game as well.
People keep throwing the WR injury argument out there. How about don’t bet your season on one player in a high injury position! That’s part of the genius of what GA built that is getting overlooked. AD Mitchell was out 9 games! But there were other options and schemes. Monken doesn’t rely on any ONE player to carry the load! 3 RBs in circulation, no 1 receiver with a 1k yards. Spread it around and don’t paint yourself into a corner!
Take Justin Jefferson off the Vikings team and see if they win 12 games. Take Rodgers off the packers and see if they are in position to make the playoffs. Take Mahomes and Allen off their teams and see if they are SB contenders. A superstar means something. A whole lot, really. If that injury had been to Carter instead of to Harrison, UGA loses that game. Not to mention OSUs #2 receiver was already injured. UGA still won the game and they deserve credit, but saying injuries didn’t affect the outcome, or that it’s OSUs fault for not being ready, is ignoring the facts. No team in any sport has enough depth to replace an injured superstar.
@@jonathanshelton9979 reread my comment. I never said injuries don’t make a difference. What I’m arguing is that you can’t win championships on a superstar all the time. It’s the team that can build a TEAM that is the most resilient that will win over a grueling season. That’s why I’m saying what Kirby and UGA have done is underrated. UGA built a program that’s as good as anybody’s and doesn’t rely on any one dude. UGA had just as many key injuries as OSU did. They’re a defensive power. Been without their biggest name outside of Carter since Florida. Then BOTH of his (Nolan Smith’s) replacements go down in this game (Chambliss and Beal Jr). Darnell Washington, which is a huge part of UGA’s schemes on offense before this game, goes down in the first quarter. Ladd McConkey was injuries and played clearly limited. It goes down the list. Part of football is who can play better hurt. It just IS part of the game! So to say “we would have won if so and so hadn’t got hurt!” is pointless.
Bama put 25 on K State, who got a struggle win against TCU for their conference championship. Props to TCU’s qb damn near killing him self in his one man war to get TCU into OT.
As a Georgia fan I absolutely love your content but just wanted to say about the Ohio State game. “ AHEMMM … Darnell Washington “ no hate, just some food for thought Edit: if this comment seems rude, it’s not meant to be, I love funnymaine’s content, just wanted to mention that one of the best players on our team got injured, he is gonna be out for the national championship too
Man the pressure is REAL!!!!!! All that work getting into FG position just to miss it. I know that kicker feeling like doing a George foreman n going into a 7 year depression!
