Nidahas Final, twice final on Asia cup, Test series Drawn against Australia-England, 2 Series victory against India, 1 series victory against Pak & SA. But after that Internal Politics destroyed the whole team, Player like Tamim-Mushfiq thrown out of team. Bangladesh can improve more but they dont have any good player on the ROOT LEVEL, specially when National League players are never picked due to politics.

Zimbabwe - okay downgraded, but Ireland, Scotland & Netherlands are always like minnows - they win sometimes very rarely like a fluke. But Bangladesh is a proper mid-table team now with excellent infrastructure of cricket & a huge number of real fan-bases around the world. Rather we can say Bangladesh is weaker now because of the retirement of 3 best players among 5 (Tamim, Mushfiq & Mashrafi) of Bangladesh's best era (2007-2022).

We (from bangladesh) visited Srilanka last month along with Maldives and Mumbai. Srilanka is very clean and charming country with amazing people. Everyone we met there were so kind and helpful. Our nationality did not bother them anyway. They are also way cleaner than India and Bangladesh. Foods were delecious too. That said, I quite enjoy the rivalry in cricket. It may help both of us to be better in cricket in future.

Mushfiq didn't started the Nagin Dance. It was Nazmul Hossain a spinner from Bangladesh who was in the squad for Nidhas trophy and Nagin move was his way of celebration after wicket only. And then in the second match it was mocked by one Sri Lankan fielder and Mushfiq just payed them full with those Nagin moves at the end. They mocked us. Bangladesh didn't growed such BIG BALLS that we would ever make the first move to start a rivalry with WC winning team who has been cooking us in Test Cricket for 2 decades also. P.S - Here after Bangladesh defeated the Lankans in T20 WC 2024 for the first time. We going in the Super 8 less Gooo.

slight add ons to the video... the so-called nagin dance celebration was in no way meant to hurt the lankan bros.. it was a celebration that bd bowler nazmul islam opu routinely did after every wicket he took, just like the iconic celebration shahid afridi used to do after he took a wicket...somehow the lankans felt that it was an insult to them, media of both countries spiced things up, and things just went spiral out of control... secondly, regarding the wide, shakib didn't just call his men back because HE thought it was a wide... the square leg umpire did call it a wide, but the bowler's end umpire did not do so...since one umpire called it wide and the other didn't, this is what angered him... awesome video as always , enjoyed watching it every bit...

Thats why you should know the culture of a country as a foreigner. To show a hand like that ( showing a cobra head or similarly a crane’s head) is seen as a great offense. When someone show that it symbolizes that they were successful at deceiving you. That they used you. It’s a very egoistic thing to do. Not a pleasant gesture to receive from a friend. @@aidamarissa1994 dunno brother, thinking of this particular celebration as being too egotistical or demeaning is maybe a bit too deep...he has used this particular celebration many times before, both in national tournaments and bpl opposite foreign players...never has this caused any controversy...the umpires are there to alert if they think a celebration is too aggressive..but certainly what followed next should not have happened...now because of this fiasco people think that the sri lankans and us can no longer tolerate each other and are trying to grip at each others throat always😁😁(which isn't true btw)...

Nagin dance celebration was signature wicket taking celebration of Bangladeshi spinner Nazmul islam apu . It was only meant to be fun . Before the nidahas trophy it was Danushka gunathilaka who mocked nazmul islam by doing nagin dance in a home series in Bangladesh . Mushfiq took it personally and brought it back in Nidahas trophy , Many may blame Mushfiqur rahim but it was Danushka Gunathilaka who started it .

You missed the actual origin of nagin dance. It was introduced by left arm spinner 🇧🇩Najmul Apu as a form of celebration after snatching a wicket. In one of the games before the Nidahas T20I tournament, the Lankan side mocked the Bangladesh team and their supporters after winning the game, which hurt them considerably.

It was Nazmul Hossain, a spinner from Bangladesh who was in the squad for 'Nidahas' trophy and 'Nagin' move was his way of celebration after wicket only. He is also known for different celebrations. As a Sri Lankan, I think this really highlights how hard our team has fallen. We used to have rivalries with Australia. India at one point, although nowhere near the India-Pakistan kinda deal. But this- absolute joke. Let me clear it out It was first done by nazmul hasan apu Bangladeshi spinner, he did this in the Bangladesh series when he got wickets where his celebration was famous, it was inspired by an Indian show kapil sharma, it was "baba ji ka Thullu". Then somehow the whole team started following him because Nazmul apu did an outstanding performance to win the match so everyone just participated with Nazmul but some did it wrongly and it became a Nagin move. Then in one match one srilankan player thought he was doing it to mock srilankan but it was a general celebration from namzmul opu so srilankan players started doing it back when they won the match, then Mushfiq did it again after winning this. It all started with a misunderstanding and the players just carried this.

You just missed the main theme, how the rivalry started. Mushfiqur's celebration wasn't an instant celebration, it has a story that hasn't been mentioned here. The Nagin celebration mainly came from Nazmul Islam Apu, his trademark. That wasn't the first time he celebrated that way, but the Sri Lankan player didn't take it well and mocked the celebration whenever they got a wicket against Bangladesh in that match. then the final celebration came from the Mushfiqur Rahim.
