Seeing Michelle Obama is bittersweet because I remember how _hated_ she was, for absolutely no intelligent reason. Much like Hillary Clinton, she was a _disgustingly_ overqualified first lady, but without a single scandal to speak of. She's a brilliant woman and a fantastic writer. I hope she's working on another book, because I really like her podcast so far and can't recommend it enough.

She is so smart. No, she is so intellectual. This comment she made that you cite above makes me think back to a video I watched recently where FDR and Churchill are standing together on the White House porch. It is Christmas Eve, 1941. They are giving a joint radio address to the American people. This is a couple weeks after Pearl Harbor, so now both countries are in the throes of war. FDR, nevertheless (and Churchhill concurs), feels that the people not only need to hear celebratory words on this night, but all need to celebrate that next day to the fullest, especially the children. So, he gives such a speech. FDR's mindset about the country's temperament was the same as First Lady Obama's is. Two brilliant minds on the same accord.

I saw an interview with Chris Rock who was at the Obamas end of presidency party. Of course. It's so nice to hear someone who knows how to speak to the people and leave us with a feeling of hope. I do my best to keep up on the news during this Pandemic but every time that orange jackass starts talking my blood pressure goes through the roof. I really hope that she reconsiders running for office in 2024 after Biden does his term on 2020. I miss having a first class first family.

When Michelle started talking about carrying the world on her shoulders during her 8 years as first lady, I felt like I really understood how difficult her life was day to day in the White House. She always speaks honestly, but I felt like her story of breaking down into tears after leaving the Capitol and describing the enormous pressure of having to make sure her every word and action was carefully considered revealed a truer and more vulnerable side of her than I have ever seen on television. Michelle is truly a remarkable lady and she deserves to be out of the spotlight living a normal life for as long she desires. ❤️

I also propose a rule: no one can criticize the First Lady unless they can speak more than the five languages she can speak. If you want to criticize the president, go ahead, but show some class, and leave the First Lady alone.
