A lonely writer wanders the streets of a city. He comes home and starts writing poetry. In his poem, he defends his solitude and complains about the stupidity of society. He says he is content with himself and enjoys being alone.

I never felt alone. I was alone in a room, on the verge of suicide.
There were times when I felt very bad, but I never felt better when someone came into the room.
I didn't think it would make me feel lonely or a few people.
In other words, loneliness has never bothered me, because I don't need to be alone.
I can't get enough. I can't see myself in a room full of people or a room full of cheering spectators.
I feel loneliest in the stands.
I'll quote Ibsen: "The strongest people are often the loneliest."
