No doubt. Also striking isn't his best tool although he can knock people out. What he does best is taking his opponents downs and beating them on the ground. On top of his striking, I wish he improves that even more, since that's his bread and butter.

@@daysbefore54th Unfortunately, BSD is not "big" enough in UFC to pull out a fight against a legend like Dustin Poirier and not having bad consequences after (for example not having a fight against a top 5 for a LONG time)... He chose to fight without all his physical abilities and did an "all in" in round 1. Poirier is a beast and it's not a shame to loose a striking battle against him. DP is a legend, more than most UFC actual and former champions. BSD will come stronger, he's 1 year younger than Gaethje when he was knocked out by Poirier in 2018 !

Besides the conditions staph, antibiotics, him giving it all in 1st round etc that led him to the fight, in a way he needed such a loss at this moment in his career. Everybody including his coach, kept telling him, don't brawl, stop brawling, and for sure Dustin is the last guy you wanna brawl against. Dude I’m French, but I don’t like you’re decisive tone Dustin showed how good he was, and this scenario could have happened infection or not. BSD still have improvements to make, his defense was his downfall and it could have ended like this even at 100%, make no mistakes about it. Really excited to see him improve and test more guys in the top 10. But donc take anything away from DP

@@alexf268well said, I think the UFC are aware that BSD wasn’t 100% and thankful he didn‘t pull out last minute and ruined the show. He will probably face a couple top 10 guys before he gets another shot at top 5. I am already dreaming of DP taking the belt and defending it against him in the near future, that‘s highly hypothetical but who knows?
@alexf268
@alexf268 2 месяца назад
@@juliengomez4708 yeah unfortunately I don’t see this happening again. My guess would be something like : Dustin fight Islam for the belt one last time and gets murdered, and announce his retirement satisfied he had at least a last chance. Islam defends his belt just a few for more times against Gaethje, Oliveira, tsarukyan, ect, murder them all as well, then go to retirement too in about 2 years. By that time BSD improved and made a few others statements in the top 10, and is finally ready to be n1 contender and fight for the belt. When Islam will be gone, everyone in the division will finally have some hope, and anything can happen. If BSD worked hard and smart until then, he could totally be in the picture to be champion

BSD is a great fighter and a humble man. I wish him all the best. Dustin is a great person too and showed a great fight. Unfortunately, BSD had and still has a confirmed staph infection on his left upper forehead, you can clearly see it in the video and has been under antibiotics for about 1 to 2 weeks. I would have loved to see him fight Dustin being at 100% of his capabilities.

BSD is a good ambassador of traditional french spirit. This spirit comes from christianity (catholicism) and "chevalerie" (knight) and can be summarize by the sacrifice of your own life to protect the people. This is what a real man looks like, not little snowflake Sean having breakdowns like a teenage girl while trying to "be a man" by talking about guns. I'd love to see them together in a room, Sean always tries to play the tough guy card because he bought a gun at Walmart or something and he thinks that makes him tough. His energy would be very different against someone like BSD who was actually in the special forces and has proper training with big guns instead of shooting empty beer cans in the trailer park.
