Demonstration of the (IMO) best way to swab out a flute using a suitable thin cotton cloth about 1' square (30cm sq) and plain rod. A stick with an eye in it through which to thread the cloth is unnecessary and indeed a hindrance. A (fit in the case) length of plain 1/4" (6mm) dowel serves much better. This method applies equally to a Böhm cylinder flute or a conical simple system one (illustrated), metal or wood.
