I use loctite super glue and mitre apel accelerator i use j-b weld plastic bonder to fill in seams and gaps . I ,ve been resin 3d printing for about 4 years l use the peopoly forge printer because like you i want my statues large as possible. I really love 3d printing you put the effort and work in and get beautiful statues as a result.....
At the larger scale, you could take the one sided fins, print them at half thickness twice, one being mirrored, and then glue them together so there are greeblies on both sides
I was thinking about the eact same thing while watching your video. No only the model scales, but also the tollerances. Still trying to think of a way to mitigate that problem

Talk to Mulford plastics or PSP, Im a plastic fabricator and can luckily get allsorts of glues(well solvents to be honest) try to get weldon #16 as its great for PLA, and could try any of the solvents that work for acrylics as they are organic polymers
