Bambu Labs has made an impressive entrance into the community by introducing speedy coreXY solutions through their X1 Carbon and P1P models. This has enabled us to print with greater speed, precision, and sophisticated features.

However, in the past the tedious waiting period for a print to complete has often left me restless and compelled to move on to the next project. One such project that I've attempted before but failed to produce is the Droid Division Battle Droid! With the kind assistance of Bambu Labs, Polymaker and 3D Gloop that effort soon became a reality.
Our Video Sponsor www.pcbway.com If you are looking for PCB design PCBway has you covered! Thats not all they also cater for 3D Printing, CNC and Injection moulding! Don't miss out on how these guys can help you!
Let me know what you think about the build in the comments below, and if you liked the video perhaps give a thumbs up and follow along for more content.

Came here because of Droid Divisions files and how well the work. Even with as good as they are , I though NO WAY it could be true. Seeing your build plates FULL , OK , now I'm 100% digging the video. Thank You for Posting the possibilities with the right stuff !

That droid looks sick. X1C is a work horse for sure! This is my next project for sure using wood PLA. Currently doing a full scale Wall-e. Crazy how fast my projects are moving. I am running out of filament so fast. Now I have to buy more ahead of time.

Very nice Sam! So with a Rat rig and plenty of large format printers would you say that these smaller Bambus will now be your goto for droid building or was this just a fun challenge and you’ll go back to using the large format printer for builds?

Did you assemble straight off the printer or does your final droid have post production word done to it? If so, what all did you do to make it look that good? What colors of poly maker pla pro did you use?

Hey Sam awesome work on the droid, what speed do you run the side fan in the X1C when you are printing large overhangs, I have been getting blobs on the left hand side of the print where it faces the fan, the right hand side prints perfectly. I am only printing pla nothing fancy, By the way Marc from MJProps suggested I ask you he is a very good friend of mine.
@TheRealSamPrentice
@TheRealSamPrentice Год назад
Hey Mark thank you, this is all stock and like you in PLA :) have you tried turning the fan off ? And make sure you’re just using the generic pla settings on the slicer
@TheRoman59
@TheRoman59 Год назад
@@TheRealSamPrentice it’s the stock profile as I am using Bambu matte filament I have been dropping it down to 30% as the profile defaults to 70% fan speed, I will try turning it off all together, thanks for the info

How is it 4 Rolls of filament but 12kilos? The math ain’t mathing. 3kg Rolls are not the norm , kinda misleading
@TheRealSamPrentice
@TheRealSamPrentice 5 месяцев назад
they might not be the norm in your world. Think bigger! 4x3=12 if you are making big projects you're not going to be messing about with tiny 1kg spools, that would add to the hassle of having to change them.
