Good video. I was unclear about rear entrance height, was it 38 1/2 , then the actual ceiling height is 47'' ? Is the ceiling height the same in the cargo area until you get within a few inches of the back hatch housing? What is the side door height? Thanks!

Thanks, so hard to find the cargo door dimensions. Trying to figure out if a 39" Tall front load washer can fit Standing Up in this. It's super close. Maybe the side doors will give a tiny bit more "headroom" to get the machine in?

But this is only for the GRAND Caravan? What about the earlier model plain Caravans? In photos, it looks like that even the earlier models of the GRAND itself have a wheel-well cover that would not allow a full sheet width.

The clown-car position, with the front seats scooted forward, is OK for short runs. Nobody lives more than 5 miles from a Home Depot any more right? :)

The fact that an 8' x 4' can fit inside a Dodge Caravan it is one of the most useful feature. Smart design.

Can I fit a twin mattress in there if I stow the back seats and one of the middle seats? What is the length from the driver's seat to the back of the Van?

I'm worried about how well these can carry incar weight capacity? How well does this work? What if you filled it in car with the total weight load limit listed on the specifications? If you put in like stuff to haul to job sites... is this car durable enough to take it without it breaking? Most the time when they quote loads people are talkinga bout towing, but they don't often comment on if the load is in the back of the car. SO this is why I asked. And another concern is when you see payload or towing capacity limits listed on the cars serial number, make model sticker, are those based on engine strength or actual durability of the frame to carry that much weight or both? And if the car is older... do you reduce that somewhat?

How much is there between the second row and the rear door?

I have a 10'3" surfboard. To stealth camp I'd need to store it inside. It looks like I could set it on top of the passenger seat and it would fit--and if not in a Dodge GC, then almost certainly in a Chrysler Pacifica.

So much better than those "man trucks" with a 5.5 bed. That's not a truck, that's a hatchback! I regularly haul 8' and 10' 2x4's in my 08 GC. another trick ( I have swivel and go they don't stow) is to put a couple 5 gal buckets in the rear, run a 2x6 on the middle row to the buckets or beyond, and you can put 10's in the back. Just have to tie down the rear hatch and adjust your vents to keep fumes from coming in.

You pretty much have a truck but a van tho. 4x8 is a good size area and the payload it 1,567lbs - 1,729lbs in a minivan! That’s right with the midsize trucks!
