How Blazblue Made The Cruel Scientist the Selfless Defender 

Kokonoe was always one of my favorite characters because of her blunt sarcasm and brutal honesty. She told Litchi to stop thinking about Roy and that there was millions of other dicks to ride on.

I have only learned more details about Kokonoe for about 10 minutes, but if anything were to happen to her, I will throw everyone into the Kiln and then myself.

Jubei didn't change his name, it's actually a paradox, like Ragna's sword. It has no origin. Jubei never told Ragna his real name. So when Ragna time travelled back, he called Mitsuyoshi, "Jubei", who was confused on why he was called that. He went along with the name anyway.

I would sit and listen to you explain the ENTIRETY of the Blazblue lore for hours

I'm pretty sure Tager was a mercenary hired by Sector Seven, instead of an N.O.L officer. A captain of a group of mercenaries in fact, he was the only survivor of that group, which was sent out by Sector Seven to retrieve the Deus Machina: Nirvana from the N.O.L. He also would have died if Kokonoe hadn't turned him into the "Red Devil" we see today. Edit: Also I believe Trinity didn't mean to betray Nine The Phantom. She was manipulated by Terumi, because she fell in love with Kazuma Kval, which was Terumi's vessel. Terumi used this to get her to remove the mind control curse put on him by Nine The Phantom. With this newfound freedom Terumi threw both Nine and Trinity into the Cauldron but Trinity managed to seal her soul into the Arma Reboare: Muchourin.

Ok, important question: If her father is cat, does that mean she eats mice? Joking apart, Blazblue has a lot of interesting characters... it's interesting to see how Kokonoe despite her serious and logical exterior is just someone who misses the love of parent's who weren't around to suport her.

My most memorable moment about her was Tager describing her to Makoto and Noel, listing 10 criticism about her "and she's a good person" 100% agree

I think the biggest example of Kokonoe being a good person deep deep deep deep de- y’know what, it not worth the time, one of the best examples of Kokonoe’s showing that eventually she is a good person down in her heart, is the “Help Me Professor Kokonoe!!” Segments, she tries to give real advice to Tsubaki and chats with her like a friend, she tries to get Litchi over her anxiety around Arakune, she helps Hakumen after he called her a slur like 30 times, she gives Tao candy and acts like a big sister. She really does love these people, she just also is a fucking terrorist.

Kokonoe being a gamer and shut in is what REAL representation is. I certainly don't look anything like her. But I RELATE to her character traits.

The fact she terrified hakumen by hoarding nukes is very telling

Such a cool characters and there is an Mori artwork of her in a samurai outfit with swords I would love to see that version fighting as well.

I still have no idea how Nine and Jubei even fell so in love that they decided “Let’s do the old horizontal tango and have a pink haired baby”. Like look at them and tell me how that’s supposed to work out

kokonoe always has been one of my favorites after terumi, but only bcs she curses a lot and has that personality that i like but now, i like her for so much more

Kokonoe's probably one of the most interesting characters in Blazblue- not just for her "premise" (which isn't uninteresting, what with her being a catgirl scientist terrorist who is the child of a cat samurai and a witch), but her personality and actions. You could probably make an hour long video on her alone and still miss stuff

I happen to love her lore and design along with her gameplay. I think most of the hate comes from Skill issue mains who hate her kit. Plus, her theme Science Fiction is one of my all-time favorites in the series.

I like Blazeblue's story a lot more no wthat I know that every character (with exceptions I suoppose) has a destiny they are not satisfied with but cannot escape . I thought the story was convoluted just because they thought it would be cool, but now I see that the setting facilitates exploring this concept

There are so many parts of the Dark War era that I've never had a chance to learn about. Back in the day, there were only translations for Phase Shift 0 and 1. Everything else is a mystery for me. So seeing glimpses of it in these videos is always fascinating. On that note, I really do need to finish XBlaze...

Kokonoe is actually my favorite character because she is just really fun with her sciencing, especially in the gag reels/chibi sections. Of course, I may be biased because I like intelligent women who may or may not be able to kick my-*gets hit with baseball bat* Also, cat girl.

One moment that shows both how Kokonoe is willing to cross lines to get what she wants and how she isn't really heartless and cares for people; is in Lambdas story in CS. Lambda had been tortured by Relius for as long as she could remember, causing her to go insane before she was "shut off" for a while. Koko later finds her and implants Nu's idea engine into her to use Lambda as a weapon against Terumi. But there is one problem: Relius fucked Lambda pretty badly. And even though erasing entirety of Lambdas mind would be easier, Kokonoe tries to leave her with 10% cause she feels it's too cruel to completely erase a person... Yet the scars cut so deep that 10% isn't enough, forcing her to erase all of Lambdas memories; if anything, to save her.

I had to wind back the video ten times but because I have an attention span of more than 2 seconds I must say: Great video

Kokonoe is my favorite character story wise from the series by a long shot, she has interesting dinamics with almost all the cast(some like Arakune and Litchi are principal to her, but he also has relations with NOL, half of the six heroes and a few others), is one of the more hypocritical persons (a mayor trend on the series as you said when saying the poser stuff) in the way she uses everyone but also cares about them even if she is putting those constantly in danger for example. Her desing and attacks are also really cool and her dialogue can be really funny sometimes In conclusion don't mess with the person that literally can send nuclear bombs to your house (she alredy knows your ip and adress)

Solid video, just a few lore corrections. Trinity herself didn't outright betray Nine. She was manipulated by Kazuma, Terumi's host at the time, to remove the mind control on the latter which he was able to do since Trinity had feelings for him. Terumi then betrayed them both. Sector Seven isn't TECHNICALLY a terrorist group. Funny fact, the UN was considered obsolete after the Dark War ended and the NOL was formed, they would eventually go on to from Sector Seven. Tager was not an NOL officer he was a mercenary employed by Sector Seven during the Ikaruga Civil War. Tager consented to Kokonoe's operation to save his life. He even requested for her to seal away his memories so he wouldn't have to remember the horrors of watching his squad all die and him getting maimed by Azrael. Yes, Kokonoe did make the regulator for the Azure Grimoire so Ragna could use it while Celica was around, but she did indeed make him a new arm as well, specifically to replace the non Azure Grimoire which he sacrificed to turn Mu back into Noel in CS which she supposedly put the MD bomb in which wasn't even real. It was just a scare tactic to gather data.

Never been a Kokonoe fan, too much love in the Divine Snake for that, but I can agree with the appreciation of what she brings to the story and overarching game of Blazblue. Nine's best, but a Kokonoe is fine too.

It feels like every character in BlazBlue has that one irredeemable thing they do that just skews your opinion on them. Like hakumen, cool badass righteous samurai dude, kills a fucking child. Ragna, the main character good guy, is the reason why every time fuckery happens. Jin, fucking exists. Find any character in BlazBlue, and I guarantee they committed a warcrime somewhere in their lore

I don't think jubei would leave kokonoe in the nol's hands 1. Amaterasu knows nine wouldn't let him and 2. Despite his rule following demener he still cares about her and would most likely want to care for her I think the reason he left her is because nine died and after falling into a pit of depression after losing his wife he'd want to keep his daughter safe and to do that he'd have to leave her Also I think he left her in the kaka's care not the nol's
