It honestly appalling not only on blizzards end to charge 90$ for a shitsnack, but how stupid people are in general in not realizing they are being farmed and eating shit. As a wise man once said "Don't ask questions, Just consume product and then get excited for next product!" that quote needs tattooed on the face of the idiots buying this mount. they sure as fuck wont realize its on their face anyways so may as well make them stand out in public.
Dude you nailed it. We are all being farmed and people need to speak up. The problem is that they keep setting the bar lower and lower. This will become the new normal just as the wow token isn’t questioned anymore but just seen as “part of the game.” The more people buy into this shit the more it incentivizes them to continue doing shit like this. And before anyone says I’m just mad because it undervalues the original Bruto. You’re completely false. They should’ve just added this mount into the game from an achievement or just for playing the game all these years.
Gamers like to pretend like they’re smarter than the average rube, but their spending habits have cultivated a micro transaction hellscape where for almost a decade now every stupid game has a battle pass, season pass, skins, in game store etc. They don’t have the capacity to put 2 and 2 together; micro transactions don’t encourage developers to make "content", it only encourages developers to create stores with a "game" attached to kt
This is a greedy money grab, just like the Rag portrait for Hearthstone. 50-60 quid for a cosmetic and a handful of trash card packs. You can buy multiple , full games off of steam for the cost of the long Boi mount.
I still have 5 million gold on retail and I still don't want to spend the 1.5 million gold for the mount. If people want to buy it with gold or real money, I couldn't care less. My thought though is maybe put in another way to earn a different brutosaur mount.
Canadian here... that's a $132 dollar mount my neck of the woods. I've played SoD for almost a year. No retail. But I was/am tempted for the eye candy. It's a nice looking mount. The utility of it is irking folks. AH and mailbox are sweet. But I have fully loaded garrisons on most of my mains that are just a hearth away at all times. And I 2 box. $264 for mounts to use.... outside the AH lol
As soon as I saw the $90 price I thought “hell no, that’s way too much.” Cost around the same as the epic edition of WW. Bit unfortunate cause I thought it at least looked fairly neat for a recolor.
I get it, honestly. For me, I just have less time for videogames that get more and more demanding in terms of grind. If I wanna raid and the time to go between hubs all the time to empty bags etc, then, while it sucks a bit to pay money, I also just didn't have time to game the AH for in-game money to get the gold brutosaur. There is Jeeves etc, so ways to do kinda the same if you want to be F2P. I had the money to spend on convenience atm, so the benefits outweigh the cons, and I'm just exhausted over being critical and angry with practices all the time elsewhere.
I want to know how many people will complain about blizzard and buy this mount as well. If we could truly see the number of hypocrites, I guarantee we would understand why this company knows exactly what it’s doing
Imagine releasing this mount for an actual in-game achievement... So many gamers love getting reamed by the multi billion companies, and the latter are more than happy to oblige. Vote with your wallets, people.
I started wow 16 years ago as high energy social gamer/guild master. Was great until te active count died off. Then wow was just a 2box solo game for me for a decade or so. SoD was the good old days and for 6 months it was high energy social as the GM again. TWW ended or locked realm like flipping a light switch. Now I'm soloing 2box again but in SoD. I love that even a deadworld in SoD is more fun for me than retail. 2box altoholics never run out of shit to do... SoD is an excellent de'stresser affter a shitty day. in the real :) Love your vids.
Not that they should be selling it for $90, but when you consider people are spending $800+ on tokens, or hundreds of hours farming gold to buy the other Brutosaur off the black Market Auction House, well $90 doesn't seem so bad.
I've played since MoP. Now over the years we have seen a number of things that have made the players mad. This, you can buy that mount and use it in an arena, buy a bomb from the AH and deploy it in the arena. That is an exploit created by them for greed and Blizz should ban itself for doing that even if it's in error because they made millions from players. Or how about someone mails you a piece of gear which you then put on halfway through a BG or dungeon? It stinks of pure greed and not thinking it through or doing it properly and this is the closest I've come to finishing with the game as they wrecked new expansion starts experience also, I'm levelling and there is no one around and players are flying over head having completed all this a week ago. No big group of players at a hub, nothing, games empty by the looks and much better geared players are picking off players to feed their ego complexes. I'm going to unload on the first person on that mount who blocks me from getting mana food or a food buff, because they always do it.
When someone is sarcastic about "the" $120 mount, you know for a fact blizzard is lowkey watching this in a hillbilly voice and saying "Well let's give the people what they want!"
I'm still amazed how people can spend so much time getting upset about this. I didn't buy it myself and i don't intend of doing so. It's "just" a mount. For 90 bugs this is not even a question just because it's an Auction House. That thing needs to suck me off while making dinner in order to be worth that much money.
that's okay, nothing wrong with treating yourself, the point of the vod was saying how gaming used to be and were it is now. I think the mount took away from the hype/what could've been for the 20th anniversary more than me not liking the mount itself, I don't think its my decision if folks should get the mount or not, just a guy giving his opinions on things and sharing my thoughts 👌🏻
@@powercheif I came back to wow as to try it. I am SoD player / Classic primarily but how they treated SoD combined with how they treat their goden gooose (retail) just screams incopetence.
The only incompetence happening at this point is the players who keep coming back. This has been the blizzard standard for YEARS at this point. The nice little consumers lining up to throw their money away on this game keep these bad business pracices thriving.
i`m safe to say that i didn`t even buy tww expansion, for me retail is still trash and a cash grab, i only care about classic and now i`m waiting 13th nov to see what they announce and i also canceled my subscription
Not played since Shadowlands but the anniversary event intrigued me but was super busy this week so didn't get a chance to buy and resub and then I saw this. I ain't playin this crap
It shouldve been telling back then when the initial store mount made blizzard more money than starcraft 2. People are going to buy the mounts no matter what. Heck, im tempted to do the same.
The Mount is not paid a convenience it's paid to win Especially when you have guilds trying to do world first on expansions And patches I refuse to buy this mount Whoever buys this mount is perpetuating bad game Practices And not just wow but the entire gaming industry And your telling game developers that they need to put vary little effort On a reskin to make lots of money. Wow was always been the trendsetter of micro Transactions And they just steep to a whole new level The gaming community giving shit to ashs or creation for charging a $120 for an alpha But if wow releases a $90 mount With pay to win aspects on it People just buy it up At least ashes of creation actually has a game you can play This is why the game industry today in general is shit So please community keep buying it up and then turn around And complain about the gaming industry Because it's your fault Then it's this way Yeah I don't Blame Blizzard for doing this they're the fishermen And wear the catch I just wish we would stop taking the bait
Well thinking and knowing are 2x different things. If people got that gold via money via token than that directly is for the mount they purchased. So by default there paying for the mount, just through the games currency. I would love to see the official numbers of how much revenue they made from this.
@@HelloJTello I would love to see it as well one of my toons is in a Gold focused guild and all 100 of us got the mount with blizz balance that we acquired from Gold.
I have been playing WoW solo since 2005... yes.. I bought the mount. I once paid 600 for one Spectral Tiger code... 90 is peanuts. You prefer to "grind for hours for some really low drop rate" over spending the 90? Huh? There is already enough to "grind" if that tickles your fancy. The 350 dollar mount, repair vendor, ah, mailbox, transmog guy and wait for it, in the back is a portable meeting stone.
This is exactly why we get a mediocre game. Why invest time into making it fun and exciting when the pay piggies will buy every item so they don't have to play the game. Its all good though, we have other places to play wow if the Blizzard devs don't want to put passion and care into the game.
@KingKugoro some of us don't have the time like we use to. Does that mean I shouldn't be able to play my favorite game of all time? If I can work a day of overtime and make the $90 in 1-2hrs over 10s of hours played in game, why wouldn't I do that instead? No I'm not buying the mount, but this purchase has no effect in player power. I wish they had the spectral tiger mount for $600 in the cash shop lol.
@@mantequillas1278 your game won't be around much longer if you poor decisions with money keep creating this incentive for the company to rely on monetization for profits vs. product quality.
Why is it so frowned upon by players when Blizzard sells stuff for aesthetics which you can choose to buy or not without impacting the game at all, while in all other games like LoL, DotA, CS this has been going on for ages and loved by the players. No one is forcing you to buy anything, and if you do, then that is on you, not Blizzard.
Because it's a disgusting practice that shouldn't exist in the gaming industry period. The other games you referenced are free to play and use cosmetics as their monetary model. With wow you pay for the game, pay a sub fee and they also sell mtx which is way worse. But on your last point you are 100% correct. It's on the consumer whether or not they want to buy this. As long as these consumers are out there these practices will continue.
Most people got the mount with gold. Not sure what token is going for but even if the prices are high you are paying 1.5-2 million in NA when the original longboi was 5 million and now costs gold cap on black market AH. Typical drama parasite youtube channel... Do better.
@@UnicornHunterD drama parasite channel 😆 tell me you don't watch my content in one response, this would be it 👌🏼 If your justifying a $90 mount for a game you already paid for with an active sub? Seems like your brainwashed my friend. All good have a nice day.
