I think it would be much better if they could just tone some things down like the massive damage numbers and stats and so many spells makes it a huge mess in a lot of situations like pvp for example.. Just sooo much going on at times.. I don't think it's too complex but it just gets messy looking with all the animations and such.. If you just scaled all the numbers down that would improve it alot imo
Disagree about the zones. The art style is really bad everything looks like you're in Toy Story. it just doesn't look good at all. Classic WoW looks better. Dragon riding just makes it even worse. It's way too fast. you just zoom around and have no time to actually look around and appreciate your environment.
I hope you have a good time on retail JT, i'm a retail palyer. found your videos when SoD level cap was 50. Been a ret pally player for my entire time on retail, besides MoP combat rogue, but that was just 1 xpac =p) This expansion is by far the best one they've ever made.
I was surprised how many times I entered houses to look at what I will find and the amount of stay and listen events I watched. Not sure what I will do endgame, arenas bored me, mythics make me puke so I might try the new bg blitz and vaults, some raids maybe. But the zones, music, story -stellar.
People that played since the beginning and slogged through each expansion have every right to feel burned by blizzard. Your perspective seeems to be that of someone that just came and tried retail now? That is understandable. It’s not at all Classic, different design philosophy even now that retail isn’t as shit as it had been for a good while. Classic OG’s feel like the game is fundamentally a vapid betrayal, and it’s not incorrect.
ofc, and I am coming from a new person perspective so I don't have the hatred like many others have which is totally understandable. I'm just saying to any SOD enjoyers that mainly retail isn't that super hard to enter as many have informed me it was. I think it's relatively easy to understand with some flaws and okay at best. I do think it went wild off the rails in terms of how overwhelming it may be, and maybe down the line a new project will come out from Blizzard that will unite the community once more.

I do agree with you on that I do think that was a bit of a mistake On top of that the way blizzard handled that wasn't great either. And? I don't know if you know who preach is But the way he worded , it was okay if blizzard had said this is getting fixed in 2 weeks. I think it would have been perceived a lot better Because yet now it really does look like early.Access did give a really big advantage. Weather it did or not But I did want to ask on the pvp Side of things. What do you think about Is something like versatility and war mode for Classic+ ? I know you haven't been playing it too much but Do you think That would be. Good or bad ? Either way It's great to see An expansion good enough to even get classic enjoyers to play it. Idk how I feel about war mode in Classic+. I think you gotta leave Classic.. Classic, you feel me? Like you can't bring too many things from Retail into it, at the same time you need to come up with better ideas, more dev talks, etc. With the community to figure what works for classic overall.
@HelloJTello Yes that's what I mean Maybe not war mode but When you guys were talking about warcraftly loaded about pvp stats. Because yet resilience doesn't feel good That's why blizzard eventually tried well pvp Power Which still didn't feel great. That's why they came up with versatility as the default pvp Stat which is technically Bolt those things put together except you can use it in. Pve so Again it was just an idea.
Classic and sod were ok and yes it was nostalgic for 20 minutes. But really the content was a long lead up to raids that were nothing content. I couldnt believe how easy it all was in contrast. Fun to see all the content again but after grinding through it all is zero chance i would want to continue. It seems so basic in comparison, not there os anything wrong with that but what i love about wow doesnt exist in classic or sod.
Did they get rid of the holy power play style? I’m currently leveling a DK but have a pally from shadowlands that’s just sitting there so trying to decide what to play. Prolly will go both but want to know your thoughts
My Ret is 570 and it’s doing great. Typically about 700-900k dps on trash depending on how degenerate the tank is pulling lol. Pally single target is rough, but it’ll get better when we get more stats.
Blizzard has been doing the early access for a while now and it hasn't ever affected the numbers that iv seen. In my opinion people just have lost interest in the main game and Blizzard isn't putting the time and effort into making a true classic plus like Jagex has done with old school runescape. And im kind of doomer on the idea of them ever actually doing that. I think retail wow is slowly going to drift off to the point that only a small portion of hardcore fans will continue to dedicate their time to the game. And a big part of that is games like final fantasy 14 do everything retail wow does, only they do it better. Much love brother glad you are enjoying the game so far.
Were gonna have to do some keys, so happy to see you try out retail man. Im a huge fan of Sod, HC and Retail. HC for goated leveling, SoD for goated raids, and Retail for keys (and now delves). I hope to see ya in there!
SoD actually ruined my care of retail, haha. I bought the damn game, gave it a couple hours, and couldn't find the will to keep playing. Ugh. Glad youre enjoying it though.
i havent tried war within but take it from me whos played mmos way before even wow ever came out. the problem with retail is its just way too fast paced, and the slow build up was what alot of the joy come from in the genre's inception. rushing to endgame/level cap, guides, bis lists, this , that, none of that was as critical as it was too, but to get back on topic, the pacing of what wow has become (or mmos in general) are all too much in a hurry to push the player along. saying thats up to the player might be the case but the games tools avalible to you pretty much force this style of play onto you, resulting in having the "goal oriented" rush to the end along with everyone else
I mean I don't think anything is forced on anyone, I can understand the design behind it but going at your own pace is something I will always recommend, playing at your own race rather just forcing yourself to be within the meta so to say. Overall I think War Within is solid, has flaws, but okay for the average player wanting to just get back into WoW. It's not as hard as I heard people telling me it was personally. Just my take.
Most of my guild threw away between 300-600 of those emerald chips each. This blue post should have been made 2 months ago. Instead of dropping random shit on people last minute.
Brother, I feel the same way. I was too young to raid/pvp at the end-game level. So this is a much needed experience. On my grind to get the Eye of Sulfuras, Corrupted Ashbringer, experiencing the AQ gates opening. This is what we are here for. R14 HYPE!!
I'm wondering what will happen for OCE servers we only have one pvp and one pve already that are both dead guessing we will have to play with 200-300 Ms?
If they're smart, the chips will be some sort of alt rewards for leveling. I'm not holding my breath, but making emerald chips, which had zero use this phase a currency for next phase just seems too backwards, even for blizzard lol.
I think its probably a "currency sink" because many people have chips and embers stocked without any use. I would say that they will make they convert to a new currency.
I was preping for a hand of rag, and farmed incursions like crazy, I had Thousands of this shit. I threw away 2 thousands of those chips, leaving one for a month, and then I needed some more space and threw away them as well
