As life gets back to normal on the streets of Dhaka, rights groups and demonstrators are demanding answers from the Bangladeshi government over a brutal crackdown that left 200 people dead during protests against a quota system for government jobs. The government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had imposed a nationwide curfew, blocked internet and text messaging access, and deployed the military, following clashes between demonstrators and police during student protests. As more and more information about the crackdown emerges online, protesters demand political leaders take responsibility.

More than 1500 students were killed by the police, RAB, and the Awami League party's student branch. Also, they shut down the internet's loyalty all over Bangladesh at that time. but the local media hid everything from us; the government totally controls the media; the internet is still almost down (it seems very slow; also, all the social media are shut down, and even if anyone uses a VPN and shares anything against the government on the social media, they are arrested).

If it is true that the Bangladesh government killed 'thousands of students', then surely there should be thousands of proofs, because in this day and age everyone has a camera phone in their hand - if the local media or social media cannot provide them, then Al Jazeera, Deutsche Welle, BBC, All foreign media, including Voice America, should be given those proofs that they are in Bangladesh. There are representatives of all international media in Bangladesh including Deutsche Welle, BBC, Aljazeera, Reuters, AFP, if the Bangladesh government really killed thousands of people then the media could have shown it like it did in Gaza. That 6-year-old child government had no rival that the government would shoot him. The responsibility of the child's death is his father, why did he go to the roof with the child during the chaos? But the government had already ordered everyone to stay at home!!

The actual scenario in Bangladesh is far far worse then it covered in news media in home & abroad. Though 180-200 death reported or discussed, there are huge amount also hidden by the govt. Agencies as suspected by all. The brutality was beyond imagination in social media even limited access of internet. Many students have been killed on last 18 & 19 July. Huge state assets also damaged by the culprits. As a general citizen of the country, we demand full & authentic list of death, which is impossible by the govt agencies, as the are in the role of Killer. Shame.

Asif Mahmud,coordinator, is kidnapped Again by DB,wing of police. Earlier he was kidnapped, slow poisoned, kept unconscious for 4 to 5 days. Alongside Asif Mahmud, Nahid Hossain, Abu Baker Majumdar,all of them are coordinators of student movement, again kidnapped while they are in treatment at hospital.
