💯 correct! I've liked Bryson since day 1! Even had me sold on the one length irons and Puma flat cap 😆 media are very good at doing that. The same way they make out Rory is such a nice guy and everyone loves him, when behind his front, he is clearly an absolute 🔔 🔚!
@@jerryinsci swear like 90% of golf is fighting your own mental state. i have been getting better at staying level headed, but man i’ve seen some crazy stuff on the course
I think many people forget to mention the passing of his father. As someone who lost a loved one very young in life, it sets a new perspective and brings a lot of maturity out of you. That in my opinion was the biggest thing that changed Bryson
Having met Bryson's dad several times you can imagine his passing was a big loss to those who knew, and loved him. The fruit fell far from the tree. Bryson played fast, and loose with the Pandemic which flies in the face of his "mad scientist" reputation. A global emergency demands cooperation from everyone but Bryson gave the world the middle finger🖕.
His RU-vid channel is really awesome. The fact that he can go win the open and then do a video playing with kids clubs just shows he is for the people and im all for it
I personally wasn't a fan of Bryson when he first hit the tour. Now I realize I was just a victim of biased bad press and social media banter. Getting to know him through his RU-vid channel and seeing him show immense respect to his peers and golf legends really shows his true colors. I'm definitely a fan, only downside is I'm not gonna watch LIV lol
We got CC in the house! At first i thought he was just misunderstood, but I admit I was rooting against him by the time the slow play drama played out. Nothing worse than slow play. All in the past though. I'm a fan now. Golf needs personality. Some guys win tournaments and hardly celebrate. It's soft.
Even with his earlier "antics" he just seemed like a guy that was doing his own thing and brutally honest. Playing how he wanted and other people started talking about him. He didn't seem worried about other people unless they started getting at him.
These videos are amazing; Bronny, Caitlin Clark, Dechambeau... perfectly edited, documented, and "journalized". Super stoked for the growth of this channel!
Bryson has been quality on LIV. Met him in London last year, whilst he wasn't at his best then, he still drew massive crowd and took the time to sign autographs and talk to fans!
I’ve been a fan of Bryson since I started golfing during covid. Ive never not used an armlock on a course and I loved the idea of single length irons. Golf needs more innovation and differentiation. Never understood why the guy got so much hate I’ve seen so many pros and amateurs throw fits during rounds. Glad the guy is finally getting some love.
Nice work! Only thing embellished is the Payne Stewart piece. He wore the flat cap originally in honor of his idol Ben Hogan. He certainly has love for Payne as well being an alum of SMU.
Frank love these long form videos! I loved the shorts and was always interested in them so glad your doing long form now. Could you do any on the nfl or nhl by chance?
I use Cobra one length irons and jumbo grips because of this guy. Been a fan of his back when he was using Edel irons. Glad to see em getting the love he deserves!
His RU-vid channel is really helpful, I also like the way he plays and thinks as I am similar, I’ve started golfing a lot more since finding his RU-vid channel I like to hit the ball far and I feel a renewed sense that is good and fun
Love the Video Man!!! I am a big Bryson fan now and I think starting a RU-vid channel was a great idea on his part. Wish he was with the PGA, but I still love the guy!
hahaha i was out of the game for many years so never saw a lot of this. referencing a singular fire ant that "scrummed up" hoping for lie relief is hysterical
i fell in love with the bloke from his long drive stint thought it was crazy watching a person hit the ball that far, i didn't have a care for what he did outside of it. Definitely a guy just trying to enjoy the game he loves, playing whether it was a way people liked or not. i liked him for him not what others wanted me to like or dislike him for.
New to golf and didn’t see the bad side of him. I fucking love Bryson. So hard not to like his RU-vid vids helping beginners and then see him go out and win a major. Will be rooting for him for every major from now on
Fantastic video - well done. Certainly encouraging for those who don't fit the mold, showing you can do things on your own terms, grow as a person, and still find respect in others eyes
His youtube channel doesn't get enough love here. I became aware of him through Good Good videos and there's a lot of GREAT HELPFUL golf info in his channel. I don't want to write a book here, but I will tell you his explained approach to a few aspects of the game have helped me immensely. He seems genuine, loves the game, and just wants to be as good as he can be.
No doubt, his RU-vid channel is what opened the eyes of many people, to see the real side of him. This was a good video, but he makes it sound like Brysons “turn around” just started in April. I personally never had an issue with him, did I find the slow play annoying…absolutely, but over all I think the media made him the villain. But his redemption I guess really started a few years ago. People forget he’s only 30 years old. He was a kid when most of that dumb shit was going on. What changed him was maturity, the passing of his father, and RU-vid. It just so happened that he’s been playing lights out since Augusta this year, but the number one factor is 100% his channel, because people can form their own opinions from it, rather than how the media takes a person and makes them a villain or a hero, regardless if they actually are
When will solo survivor come back? But anyway, Great job, FMS, thanks for all the amazing effort you put into your videos and for the awesome games that you provide for us.
I like everything the guy does golf wise, i love a pro that isnt extremely boring and does their own thing and sticks to their own way of playing despite people disliking them, and I like seeing him win. That said, everything I see of him, he just seems like a really awkward guy to interact with that i could imagine rubbing myself the wrong way playing a round with him. I dont think hes a bad person at heart, just very single mindedly focused on golf, terrible social intelligence, really bad cognitive empathy to the point I genuinely think he might be firmly on the spectrum. I am definitely a fan though and love the unique approach and personality he brings to the game, the good and bad of it.
Coming in late to golf, I've only seen what a gentleman and scholar Bryson is I think it's great how analytical he is about his game Watch his youtube channel and enjoy the LIV golf format He and LIV are bringing golf to the people
Hey I remember you made a video a while back about the effects of turf on nfl players but did you also know that it causes more head injuries because there is nothing to cushion the fall? Maybe make a long form video on this and the many other factors. Love your work!!!
Well done! At times Bryson made it hard to like him, or admit that I liked him. But now I love to cheer him on, especially in the faces of my friends who still staunchly hate him and bet against him at their peril!!!!
Everyone should just take a step back and remember Phil was beloved by the people but some of the stories of how he treated people when the cameras were off circulated for 2 decades before the rest of the world finally caught on. What are the chances Brson has changed? I hope he has, and life is in the right perspective for him. We all want golf to come back together. The question is will the public get sick of it if they see it week in and week out. 4 times a year to have Bryson being Bryson may be the perfect amount for all I know!
I’ve always liked Bryson. He’s always been a straight shooter, not hiding his feelings or issues. I couldn’t be happier that others are watching his play and not siding with the media which tried to make him a bad guy. Sure he’s grown, but he is the same guy. If Tiger got the treatment Bryson got, he’d be the most hated player. Of course, that is deserved. Tiger is always out for Tiger, no team in Tiger’s world.
Have had the fortune of meeting and working with bryson since he came onto the tour. Was always so sad about the hate he got because getting to know him and his intentions this is what he’s always been like. Just misunderstood until now
