Siddharth as a human being was born in current day Nepal (Lumbini) who was later enlightened as the Buddha in Gaya(Bodhgaya, current day India) from where the Buddhism spread.

Wow, Yungang cave was built by the Northern Wei dynasty. Northern Wei is founded by nomadic Xianbei people over almost 1700 years ago. They were the northern people who originated in Mongolia steppes, Siberia and Manchuria. Although they weren’t exactly Han Chinese at their ancient times, they were indeed one branch of the Chinese ancestors. It’s very moving to see how diverse and inclusive Chinese have been. I am happy that Xianbei are honored as the ancestors as the rest of the many many tribes and ethnic groups throughout China’s long long history that created a collective Chinese civilization, and to make China what it is, and the Chinese who they are.

India and China are friends. We should rise above petty politics. Guard against those selfish and parochial politicians that want to destroy the good faith between the Chinese and Indians. It has been proven that in the past the two greatest Civilisations have so many cultural exchanges, why can't our present generation surface above the petty politics and work towards a brighter future together? I yearn for a day where India and China can surpass the past, innovate together, and co-create an Asian Development Path rather than an Anglo model that has its inherent flaws.

Today, half of all the Buddhists in the world are Chinese and they live in China. So I thought that Buddha was Chinese, but he wasn't, he was actualy from either Nepal or India. There are many words of wisdom that Buddha has uttered, but my favorite is this:. TRUE WEALTH IS ACHIEVED BY ACQUIRING PEACE, HEALTH & A SHARED PROSPERITY. That pretty much summarizes how China as a nation operates.

It will be very educational to all in China as well as for International viewers if CGTN could also research n do a documentary on how Islam, came into China with Hui minority came to believe in islam n Christianity first came into China, during Italian Missionary Fr Matteo Ricci visit n stay. What abt Marco Polo visit n his return home to Venice n brought noodles(Pasta n rice) back to ITALY. Wouldnt that be a fascinating history of China, in contact with the world during those ancient silk route era. We already got to know abt the petite British young evangelical Christian, Gladys May Alyward, who came to China on a mission in 1902 n her life in China. She managed to stay n looked after orphans, n had a hard life but gradually was accepted for her kind deeds. She was such an inspiration!. Why not other religion too. To show the world that China was visited by these foreigners long before n how the different religion was brought into China n the many beautiful ppl n their belief living peacefully with each other, n the beautiful ancient Mosques, churches n Temples all dotting in and around China. Wouldnt that be a fascinating history for all of us, as well as International viewers, especially those younger generation will learn abt China's beautifully diverse n rich culture n history.

Arguments about where Buddha came from would make him laugh I am sure. As Buddha says whether there's a god or not is irrelevant it is within ourselves that is important he would say the same about the country he came from, what difference does it make, a country is just a name given to a place on earth, if we stopped fighting over names of places maby life would get better for all of us 🤘🙏🤗

the values and teachings are more important than where Buddha was born! However, the fact should be told that Buddha was born in Lumbini which is a part of Nepal! India also named their part of land near to original Lumbini as their ‘Lumbini’ which created confusion among tourists and people are visiting the fake shrines of India! It is truth the Buddhism was flourished in India and contributed much in spreading but later Hindus dominated the country by being too cruel sometimes! Again, the teachings and values of all religion is the same: to live in brotherhood, respect nature snd stay in peace! The architecture of famous Buddhist places should be preserved!
