Never played DayZ but I got 7 too. I thought the slug would go through the zombie, surprised the SVD was stopped by the door but that the pistol made it through the *thick-ass wooden wall*.
Wow! Holy crap, WOBO this video is a game-changer, thank you so much for all your time and effort, plus a big thanks to the mod creator. DayZ's engine is so complex and beautiful... and also derpy as all hell and in many respects broken :D
When I heard you were returning to RU-vid, I didn’t think there was much more you could do, given the plethora of DayZ guides kicking about. I’m glad to say that I was completely wrong! Your content is next level, and stands head and shoulders above everyone else out there. Keep up the excellent work mate. I look forward to seeing what else you’ve got in store. @@royprice7480 That doesn't mean it makes sense to spend so much time on that particular thing that you leave other elements broken. The game may even have been better if the ballistics were just much simpler
@@jackdaniels5538 No my guy just no, vehicles in my experience havent fucked me over at all so far just dont go mach 9, Obviously stay away from crowded spaces doesnt make sense to bring them into the city. The main focus in this game is combat not vehicles dumbass.
@@nauticalgaming2961 yes it is clunky, you cannot ADS in dayz without it first playing the animation for raising the weapon for hipfire. There is no smooth transition or animation for just going straight in to ADS, you have to play two animations. You lift your arms up like your about to hipfire and then you ADS, which creates a delay, it's clunky
I haven’t played DayZ in years now but I’d still been waiting for your return. I’d shared your announcement about needing to leave to care for your mom way back when on DayZRP and the community got together to donate on your stream. I haven’t kept up with your media otherwise so I don’t know how that went but I hope things are better for you now than they were back then.

No wonder the game server dies when many people play. This kind of server side math seems to be related to the overall performance issues. All of this is really cool, but these things are overkill. The performance issues are also related to all objects in the world needing to be separate and semi interactive.
All for realism my friend The problem is we don't see all these delicious details without a video like this one :( Maybe more visual and sound effects are needed to make it more spectacular...
I dont think all the bullet physics are computed server side. If they were, super long distance shots would be nearly impossible on moving targets and hackers wouldnt be able to use hacks to aimbot long distance shots.
@@WichidNixin The thing is, this used to be client side, but after there was so much hacking, it was moved to server side. So it was not originally designed to run as it does now. This is also something that causes a lot of issues for cars. The arma engine itself was always designed to be played with "good faith". So hacking was not considered as much originally.
This is amazing work - i used to love doing this in legacy, got accused a few times over it lol. Nothing like unloading a 60 round AKM into tight corridors like Scarface and laughing manically as they drowned in ricochets. EDIT: Btw i would like to add that if the game still functions like it did back then, metal surfaces are best for reflects - correct me if i am wrong good sir scientist.

Hey, during your livestream you should test if you can penetrate floors to shoot people on upper floors. One of the buildings you should test is the industrial bird box building to see if you can shoot the people on the roof. But outside of that definitely military buildings.
I checked the hunting stand while I was testing this mod and you couldn't shoot through the floor of it at all! We have so much to learn. I will test if it works for you.

I'm actually glad that wind DOESN'T affect bullet physics. If you ever played ARMA 2 ACE, you'll know how complex that shit is, yet despite being "realistic" it ends up just feeling like RNG.
Just would like to say this video is very Eye-opening and also very cool/funny since this will calm down many of players from my server who claim hackers when they are blown away while in a house or tho a wall. Very good video indeed and very detailed. loved how much you really went into it :)
I literally played so much when it came out on xbox that I'm fed up with the whole game to the point that I ha e a pc and runs it fine but I dont want to play it. I had all the great dayz experiences but in a broken game. Shame

Damn I haven’t played since about 2 years but I used to watch EVERY video of yours all back when. You first started in 2014 I was always the guy in the group that’s knew everything about the game cus of you, thanks and it’s nice to see you back even not playing I can’t help but bwatch and have some massive nostalgia!
No the devs are not good at programming bullets, the arma devs and plug in modders did all the work. Four years later this is still funny. Either way i still tell people to watch this video to understand how to shoot at range in dayz.
Literally my experience with cars. When my cousin, best mate and myself started playing day z console for the first time and played on vanilla. After figuring out how to navigate, many days and many deaths, We finally all go to each other. We ended up getting some pretty darn good loot together and had the worst gear fear. We end up travelling away from the most high traffic areas with a goal to find and build a car and we did. After a-couple days and hours of running around. We finally put together a working car. I don’t even think it was 5 mins of being in the car. Ended up going little bit faster than 60 and all of a sudden. We all started frame glitching, rubber banding, flipping many times and even air born until we were met with the black screen of death. They really have to fix that SH*T. It’s safe to say I took a long break after that. Like cmon. It even happens on low pop servers whilst playing a ps5. Cars WILL get you killed either by crashing or giving your position away. You’re better off running.
