I used this process until I could pay off larger purchases without a worry. I own everything with no payments now. I use a couple cards and pay them off every month. I direct regular bills...cell phones, electric, water, insurance, etc to the cc. I have a 14 year old son, at 13 I got him a card. I have to push him to use it. When he turns 18, he's gonna be solid. I invest, own, and sell. DO NOT GET A CC and buy dumb stuff. YOU HAVE TO BE STICT ON PURCHASING HABITS!!!

If you pay it in full each month, why would you ever pay interest? Oh because you're irresponsible with your money. Which is why you have bad credit. Man's paying interest on his pizza. Here's a trick, put the money in a jar as if you paid in cash. Then at the end of the month deposit that money to ensure you pay it off. If you're that lousy and have no self control when you're broke, what makes you think you will be financially responsible later on? People like you are living paycheck to paycheck because you're living well above your means. You should be saving money every month. Let me say it again, if you are living paycheck to paycheck, you are living beyond your means. Make better financial decisions with your life. Even someone making MINIMUM WAGE should not be living paycheck to paycheck. But they gotta have their 900 iphone, they gotta pay hundreds in cell phone bills every month (I use a tracphone with plenty of minutes/data which will roll over every month and I might spend 40-80 bucks a year). Paid off older car, no car payments. Just like Myron driving his old POS honda for years while making 100k+ as an FBI agent. If you're broke, ride the bus, ride a bicycle to work. Why are you even ordering pizza broke azz. Eat some ramen.

You are doing a bit of oversimplifying. Don't buy more than you can afford is what you need to say. If I have $0 and no debt, and someone has $1000 and $10,000 debt, I can assure you, that other person is poorer than I. You're usually spot on, but this is trash advice for 80% of people.
@edheldude
@edheldude 10 месяцев назад
You think that way because you use debt to buy liabilities (things that depreciate and cost you money). If you instead buy assets (things that usually appreciate and bring you money), debt is the greatest leverage there is. There's infinite money in the world, and your access to it depends on your ability to produce value with it. If you can do it, banks are more than willing to give you all the money they can.

That’s because in USA you are forced by the govt to use credits for everything. It’s not like that in most countries. In my country it’s shamed upon if you purchase stuff in credit. Although, I do agree that some assets are worth purchasing with credit even if you have cash, because a bank gives a discount. But you have to carefully calculate when to close that credit, because it will stop being profitable at some point in time. Banks will 100% change the terms of your contract in time and will not notify you. Banks are not charity, they always seek to profit off of you. If you are not careful and not understanding of how economy works, they absolutely will leave you cashless.

Having a 800 credit score is just showing your a good debit slave. I prefer the Dave Ramsey approach. I pay for everything up front. I own my home at 27, my trucks, car, trailers , boats etc. I dont operate with a debt constantly. Quite the opposite. Yes credit cards are good to use and pay off each month. But dont tell people to use all credit all the time. That's not healthy. I dont wanna be a slave , i prefer having more options. Again this is all about each person situation. But I would tell most people to save, and pay it up front. Dont pay thousands for borrowing the money. Unfortunately most people dont save. So you telling people who dont save . To just use credit. Yea that's great advice to a society that over buys as it is. I honestly believe Dave Ramsey is better for the long haul.

Good luck the day when you're strapped on cash and something comes up. You're falling into the trap credit card companies want. Only buy big or rare purchases on credit, that way you aren't constantly owing. You're expecting everything to always go smoothly by doing that
@FantastiXPvZ

Bad advice for the most part. Most Americans are in credit card debt. Most people think they can simply pay it off at the end of the month, but rarely do. Don't buy small things, because they'll add up quickly and you'll forget you owe all that. Only buy large or infrequent items with credit, that way you know you owe it and plan ahead. Everyday items is a definite NO!

Do not generalize... In European Countries 'credit' is not so common for people. As it wasn't enough, paying with credit cards means letting yourself be surveilled upon and + you have less consciousness about money with credit cards. If you have material money it creates good habits, for kids. It's really not good letting kids with credit cards.

For all the people who think credit is bad. How the hell does a bank, or anyone for that matter, trust you that you can back up your financial situation or capability to make money and be successful if there is no credit score. A person who is great at using the credit system will do great with their finances. Someone who doesn't and abuses the credit system will only suffer. Perhaps though, that is what separates the wheat from the chaff.

(Cause I paid off her shit) Once you get your money right, and are able to acquire ASSETS, the STRESS about money goes away. You still have to be smart, and make moves. But KNOWING, I could have a $100k emergency (which would never happen) but if someone like that happened, I'd be FINR, I'm not gonna lose my assets, I'm not gonna lose my wife, my kids will still eat. Well I do agree with half he said with the credit card stuff but you don’t need to use a credit card for absolutely everything. Only a dumb ass will use their entire credit limit with dumb ass spending. Credit card companies love people like that because now you’re stuck paying them back because you wanted to be in responsible spending all your credit. So yes having a credit card is good but be smart about your spending use it for stuff and spend what you KNOW you can pay back don’t spend what you know you can’t and then you’re stuck in debt. Don’t be stupid be smart about it. I was that person but I learned from the mistakes. Now unless you have a hood laying job where you can pay it off in full then go ahead but like I said don’t be stupid

This isn't that straightforward and idk why you would be convincing everything to buy everything with interest tacked on thats not the move. Yes credit score matters. Having the ability to buy large things with credit matters but I couldn't imagine carrying interest on everything I purchase I struggle looking at the interest I pay on my car loan. Interest will wipe you out its like trying to climb a slippery hill

@@20maxilo I'll give you an example. I went to a furniture store looking for tables. They had a set I liked. They cost $350. I told the guy I wanted them, and he said 'well lets draw you up a contract"; I said, "no, I want to pay cash". He replied, "oh... well just $80 then." Had I 'used credit' - I would have ended up paying $450. - If you go to the doctor and they hand you a 5 grand bill - if you tell them you're paying cash, they'd cut that bill in half. It is absolutely stupid to live off debt. You end up paying 2 to 4 times as much for everything, than that person who has cash. - The only debt that makes sense - is if you have an LLC and are borrowing money to invest; so if it falls through the floor - your LLC can claim bankruptcy, without you losing personal assets. As far as one's personal life goes - debt is dumb.
