This gun impressed me so much, it was what I've been looking for... for the past 3 years. I got this 'Tank Commander" in both the 9mm and the .45acp version. I also picked up the darker version "Tanker" in .45acp earlier this year.
I have the stainless version, other than the trigger being plastic the gun holds it’s own against my Les Baer custom. The machine work is very clean on the one I have. I just upgraded the trigger.
I have the A1 Army with rosewood double diamond grips, I want it just as it is, a full combat pistol, 5 pound trigger for more control in a home invasion situation. Super quality, hammer forged frame, barrel and slide, can dry-fire all day long, I just shot a perfect score in my CCW class, I can now conceal/carry. See the 'Army pistol training film, learn how to use it.
I bought the SDS Tisas M1911A1 U S Army (WG) 5 inch .45 ACP as a companion piece to my CMP acquired 1943 Remington Rand M1911A1. The fit and finish on the Tisas are impressive. It REALLY did NOT need to be polished it came every well finished, but I blended and extended the finish work to the base line of a loaded cartridge JUST because I could. It is extremely accurate for a pistol of this price and I expect to get many years of service from it. If you want a quality 1911 on a budget GET ONE.
I want to get the tanker but think I may have to change the hammer right away and go from there... there did you buy the hammer, and grip and trigger? Is it legal for me to ask the content creator that?
Tisas stopped importing their Hi Power and Beretta 92 & 84 clones, didn’t they? I have one the 84 clones and wanted the Hi Power clone but they’re nowhere to be found.
Yeah I don't really spend more than 1k on a single gun, I'm not exactly rich either. I like guns that are affordable and yet I can shoot the hell out of. However I do have 1 "high end" 1911, just have not done a video on it yet. But yea, thanks for assuming things out of the blue.
Nice but the metro arms 1911s are better and for the same price u get a better finish. Not that doll looking finish.it would the American classic Commander
