there was a paper recently graphene from soybean oil in a sealed quartz tube; heat the oil to ~300 degrees in the presence of metal catalyst and you get graphene. My question is how do you support such a thin sheet for water flow?
How much energy and pressure is required to push the water through such low pore diameter membrane at reasonable flux? How is the energy requirement of the filtration process compare with traditional desalination methods?
