I grew up Southern Baptist and finally heard Dr. Rosenbladt on the White Horse Inn one day while working out at the fire station. I'm a Lutheran today because God used this man. Thank you Dr. Rod Rosenbladt. I'm eternally grateful.

Awesome talk. I listened to it twice. He endures me is pure gospel...like God enduring Elijah in the wild with food, water, and mission. Thanks gentlemen!

I loved that phase as well, "he endures me" or "he faiths me." Great stuff!

@Richard Johnson Amen! I feel exactly the same. Recognizing that we are the passive recipients of God's work and grace is unbelievably comforting, even while it offends my internal Old Adam who wants to work for something and get some kind of credit in the kingdom of the right.

Really enjoy these talks I’m a fairly new listener and new to reformed theology Love all 1517 does to teach us in a simple understanding I’m unlearning so much bad theology Pietism and legalistic no law/gospel understanding I’m thankful for the faithfulness of God I’m thankful He never gives up on me I’m new to learning covenantal reformed theology I love what your dad said a couple times How the text jumps up from the scriptures not us putting it in the text… I probably messed up the quote some But it was so helpful as I read scriptures now through the learning of law gospel distinction May God abundantly bless 1517

What you're describing is why we do what we do... re-connecting people with God's word, and particularly the Gospel of Jesus Christ, crucified to save sinners, even terrible sinners like me. @Bob Taylor I very much get why you're asking about this. And inasmuch as I could bring my own perspective on suffering, it makes me wish that we could interview someone I know who has gone through something like you're describing. We are not promised that we won't suffer, and even told that we will be hated for Christ's sake. But as we are told, He will not depart from us or abandon us. If there's some way we can helpfully tackle this, we'll do it. Maybe once we get into the church season of Pentecost.

@@tedrosenbladt9976 , as you know, a large majority of American Evangelicals would say that a disabled person has no vocation, because they think of vocation strictly as employment, not as calling.

Do you think communion is a factor here too? Taking communion every week can help with assurance a little bit too? Also, I know y’all are pretty busy at 1517, but if you get a chance could you do a video explaining what Revelation 2:17 means when it says “to the one who is victorious I will give … a white stone with a new name written on it known only to the person who receives it”. Thanks :D
