Brain drain is a big issue in Malaysia and many of us don't acknowledge it enough. What more, we always compare ourselves to our neighbouring country --- Singapore; thinking we can never be like them or be 'better' than them. So, I did to ask YB Syed Saddiq what could be done better here in Malaysia.

For those who don't know, many Malaysians going to Singapore to work was only an issue the past 10 - 20 years, before that never had an issue. This is when the Malaysian government became stupid, backward and corrupt. Before that, many Malaysians actually work in Malaysia. Brain drain was here and there, but not severe.

@noblestar7742
@noblestar7742 11 месяцев назад
@@SL-hc6nw But having a quality ipad with quality digitized supplement learning can really offset lack of teachers and bad conditions of schools, doesn't it? We've all heard how self-made successful people and entrepreneurs who didnt even have schools but learnt online. In fact, I've a friend who is now an engineer who do not have a single cert to his name. He started from the bottom, buying coffee for engineers and doing adhoc work for his company. He started learning from youtube. (of course, he started gaining knowledge through hands on and once his company gave him opportunities). Getting more teachers and improving infrastructure takes years of training and construction work, it should be done but we don't have to wait. Digitizing education takes months or a year, top.

They won’t coz everything Saddiq has pointed out in the video like the unnecessary billion dollar government projects granted to bumi, or the shady private colleges that enroll students who couldn’t get into public uni and grant them with a degree who couldn’t get them any jobs.. All these, are happening, because, someone in the government has personal ties to these institutions/projects and they will obtain financial gain personally if such things continue to take place in Malaysia Malaysia is doomed, there is no solution.. Every single politician in Malaysia is corrupted Saddiq may not be corrupted now, but if he really becomes prime minister, soonner or later, he will be one of them as well, for he is only human Because of the unique racial circumstances of Malaysia whereby the Chinese aren’t a real minority (20% of the population does not constitute to be a real minority in my opinion) in a country full of Malays, and the disparity between the capabilities and diligence of these 2 races are ever growing, malaysia can’t make any real fundamental changes to be better For example, The Malaysian government has gradually revamped the school syllabus and make mathematics tougher, it is well known Malaysia’s school syllabus is very outdated in general But, instead of being grateful, there r multiple cases whereby Malay mathematics teachers who are teaching in Malay schools are complaining online that mathematics are too tough and the politicians just made mathematics sooo tough to “shock sendiri” I mean, wtf right? So yeah, in my opinion, malaysia can’t change, it’s a racial problem...

And also having an independent party to investigate reported cases of corruption. There are so many smart people in Malaysia. Malaysia has alot more natural resources too. @@akaneru1935 The Malay privilege does hinder members from other races from getting the same treatment in life, e.g. given the same opportunity to public university. Since inequality exists, shouldn't people address that inequality rather than leave it status quo? And it is possible to change the constitution if the whole parliament works together to fight for the change. I know it sounds idealistic because we all know most members of the parliament are Malays and they are voted in by Malays, and some of these Malay voters will find it almost impossible to give up their privilege. Actually, it boils down to a functional parliament which can get things done. I think to add on on that point. With the subsidies provided by the government. Companies are more likely to hire more under-skilled Malaysians to train as their risk of investment in these employees would reduce. Cause employers nowadays are thinking “what if I paid them and they chose to work for other companies instead as they’re already been up-skilled” as the minimum wage for Malaysians are typically higher than foreigners. With government subsidies, companies are able to mitigate such risky thoughts and less reluctant to give under skilled Malaysians a chance.

@lingth
@lingth Год назад
Its not likely, there are too much internal conflict within their political parties, and each one is dead on against the other policies. So if Party A win and his policies is implemented, the next time, party B wins, they will change whatever party A did and then it's back to square 1.
@lingth
@lingth Год назад
Which is why rather than a system like USA, having party A for 4 or 8 years, then change to B, and it undo what party A did, and then it lose and Party A take back, and it put back the policies.. Neither A or B cares about what happens 15 or 20 years down the road, cos they are only focusing on the next election in 5 years. I rather get a good govt.. and serve 20 or 25 years..and can make long term goals

@@steven8148 that is the different between Islam and non Islam issue. Why they want to do like this because they want people under them become stupid, Islam is a very good tools to achieve their goal. Those sohai supported PAS keep on saying DAP and Chinese are communist then they supported islamic. In fact Chinese will not supported Islamic. They blamed Chinese is Communist then why they never blame themself is islamic ?? Did u see how stupid they are once they are in such point of view that protected themself which is islamic ??? And also in fact Chinese community is better then them and they keep on stay behind Chinese and they think that is ok to fully forever stay behind Chinese. This is their choice. They want to be sohai no one can stop them and causing Malaysia becomes a Sohai Country falls behind Thailand and Indonesia now.

Im fully agree with what yb syed said about TVET, I've got lots of friends that really good with plumbing and electrician even with house construction, if they been given that kind of opportunity at that early age, unemployment rate in Malaysia might slowly reduce
@MrMoneyTV
@MrMoneyTV Год назад
we agree that TVET should be made more accessible for Malaysians at early age and for graduates to be given a dignified wage. Germany does that and TVET is not viewed as “sub-par” to degree.

As a 17 yr old malaysian, i fully agree. Im currently in highschool and only less than 3 months left before the spine-chilling SPM to arrive. And what I’ve done these past years? Nothing.. because me growing up with the internet(mostly on youtube here) makes me want to also to achieve my dream as a youtuber, but as you can see from my channel with lack of uploads, school is really holding me back.. i have to learn lots of the standard subjects, and subjects I’m not even 100% interested in. And it doesn’t help either that its a MUST to pass Sejarah(history) in SPM or you wont get a sijil.. but im not even that interested in learning history cuz its so abundant of information that it becomes unfulfilling to read. Am I really gonna read hundreds of names, years, and places just to pass? Perhaps.. but in my pov, its all blank to me cuz all in my mind is that i rly do want to pursue my youtube career, but having school at the back of my mind and the inevitable SPM coming just makes me more anxious to push that goal of mine.. you may say that i might not be putting any effort into trying to learn and pass my grades, i will admit, i am lazy. But that is literally all resulting from the amount of pressure school now is putting on you and expecting you to excel.. I’ve been very depressed these past few months.. Atleast watching this, im glad to know that there are younger representatives of us who wants to change our very corrupted system for the better of the country

As the same spm candidate, i disagree with some of your statement about history subject. I support that passing Sej is a must to get spm certificate. Moreover, nowadays youngsters are becoming more ignorant and less educated in our country's history. However, i do agree that Sej exam format is absurd. Rather than focusing of facts, the KBAT questions are more like political and economical subject related. I hate this even though it helps with giving marks. It is better for Sej exams to be less complicated and straight to the point. Therefore, Malaysians will be knowledgeable in history as they have strong facts that they hardly memorize and learned at school.

I'm not a history freak, but i will have to say Sejarah is important for us in terms of morale and improvement. *not* more important than other subjects, but still important. Well personally i agree that sejarah can be very boring with all names, places, dates etc... but i still try to put effort into learning it. not only for exams. i pray that u'll do well with SPM. Jangan putus asa👍
