If you listen carefully to the voice actors from the show in s1 or in this radio, he is always pronounced as Petelgeuse, which is referencing to the name of a star, Betelgeuse. In fact, many characters in Re:zero has been referring to names of stars, like Subaru, mentioned in OVA 1, is the Japanese name of Pleiades. I notice that there have been some arguments to how we should pronounce P(B)etelgeuse, and I pick his official name here. But in either way you call him, we'll understand anyway.

I don't know about pronounciation of the word, but I'm pretty sure that Petelgeuse is spelled with a P on purpose, the author said this is important.

@@kurokamireaper3761 No, that's different. The "Th" sound does not exist in Japanese so they substitute with a "z". But "B" and "P" both exist in Japanese, so the language isn't the reason.
