Btw everyone, I hit two pitch shots on 15 because the first one actually ended up not being my ball😂 So obviously in a tournament that would be a penalty but G was nice enough to let me go hit my actual ball which was the second pitch shot without a penalty
My impression of your game is that you're a bit too nonchalant and don't concentrate enough on each shot. As long as you're on a streak you do fine but you don't handle trouble mentally or physically well.
Brad's game is so good and appreciate his contributions to Good Good. He's actually funny but in a different way than Matt/Steve are funny. Plus he's super smart too? Dang. Hope he sticks around with Good Good.
At this point, Brad seems happy. More so than Luke, but I certainly hope Luke stays around as well. They probably need to bring another good golfer into GoodGood. I thought Bubby was going to take a step up in his game but really hasn't. Steve doesn't care enough to become a good golfer, even though he probably has enough talent to do so. Steve might like fishing more. Matt is probably playing his fifth best sport. Don't know why Ben didn't work out. He always was a big part of the GoodGood vids that he was in. A. J. is a solid player and a great guy. I knew Luke would join when Grant and Micah left. I don't have a clue who would replace Luke.
@@thomasblock1164 Yeah, I like Luke too. He's got game. I follow Ben and watch his content, especially when he has Mac with him. They're entertaining. I don't know why Ben didn't stick around. Maybe cuz he's not in Dallas area?
@@thomasblock1164I could see Luke leaving to persue his own content sooner than later. I think he's a competitor at heart, and the silly good good scrambles and games ect bring his game and mood down. Plus he's creating really high quality content now
Garrett you have a better job right now than the PGA tour. Much lower stress level, no shortage fame or fortune, and it doesn't matter if you play well or not, the checks keep rolling in. You'd be out of your mind to enter the grinder of tour life.
agreed, this is a just a clickbait title...he has zero plans on going pro...why? b/c you nailed it man....zero worries and plays golf...sign me, and probably the rest of the comments, up for that life...haha
@@daisunwagnerin terms of tournament earnings, yes. But a substantial amount of a tour players overall earnings come from endorsement deals and sponsorships. Grant and Micah are examples of being able to get those deals without having to be a tour pro.
@@daisunwagner true, but if you watched the entire video you hear Brad saying how good everyone else is, and garrett can't beat brad...no knock on anyone...Garrett has the life
Brad needs to make another run at the tour.. his driving and chipping are next level. The ball striking is pretty impressive too. I know those guys are good, but so is Brad. Would love to see him chase the dream while documenting the whole thing. Either way tho we love brad on gg and gm too..
This is my favourite video I have ever watched on your channel. Just the boys out playing golf and vibing. Nothing full on trying to provide content, just a fun time!! Love it
Brad honesty is pure gold, good on you mate. G it sounds like you know your path. You have created something incredible in this space and are so influential that the PGA wants your reach 🎉
Brad just hammering out every single drive! Game is really easy when you’re hitting 60 degrees into the greens. Just really good!! Keep up the hard work Garrett, you’re close to your goal.
Always appreciate Garrett's honesty about where his game is at and never assumes to be in the pro level class. We love his game because how entertaining it is and the content that comes out with other players and creators.
I grew up with kids who could shoot 65 every day, and later spent 1 to 3 years on tour struggling. Two shot 59 on tours and still didn't make it. I've come to believe golf is not about hitting a ball solid, it's about scoring under pressure when it matters most, on impossible courses. Roughs up, greens are blazing fast, fairways are cut super low, lights are on, people are heckling. Playing for your livelihood is another level.
@@jordybeans2392You must be joking. The Boys of GG tried playing the Jack Nicklaus Memorial course set up for the PGA Tour and it ate their lunch. When you play a real course at 7400 yards, 6 inches of rough and greens at 12 everything changes.
You have much more natural talent than you think, G! You aggressively started playing golf at about 13, and quickly had a knack for the game. I dreamed of playing professionally as well, and won so many Junior tournaments, highschool tournaments, etc. But the consistency it takes, is more than a full time job. No days off unless injury. Such a tough journey, but even chasing it at all is still something we can always remember!
Watching guys like you play golf and knowing that even though both of you are elite, you’re still not consistently tour level is just wild. The difference between a scratch golfer and a tour pro is about the same as a 20 handicapper against a 7 handicap
You are as close to the tour as I am, and I’m a 12 handicap. Meaning, neither of us will ever make it. You’re a really good player but there are so many great golfers out there. Keep making great vids
Exactly. A 24 handicap is more likely to get to Garretts level within 3 months than Garrett is to get onto the PGA Tour in his lifetime. It’s just so far ahead.
I wonder if Brad and Garrett have read the “Outliers” book. Not only are top pro golfers talented and committed, but if you analyse their childhood I think you'll find immense luck. Their situation allowed and motivated the early training. Things like: dad was a golf pro, lived on a golf course, access to top teachers, and proximity to other top junior. Or in some cases, a strong motivation to succeed due to overcome racial prejudice. It's a really good book and worth a read.
I think with a caddy and playing on some of the best courses in the world you have as much chance as anyone else! Just gotta stay in a good mindset like on GMgolf!
just clicked on the vid, been watching since the start. but not even close. ill watch this through later and if its its just click bait oof. theres a big difference in tour level and it becomes backing off youtube. love you guys
Watching the first video from one of the good good members in probably a year and nice to see garrets more comfortable (doesn’t seem like the videos for kids if you get me)
Why did Brad hit 2 different greenside chip shots on hole 15? First one at 19:17 and 2nd at 19:55 and both landed on the green just in different spots???
If you took the time to work on your game you could get really good quickly. Look how much better Grant got doing his channel with more serious golf content. I like what you are doing. More serious golf on your channel and more fun on good good. Besides Grant and of course George you are the only other RU-vidr that has the game to go further.
Last time I played was like 15 years ago when I was a student. I never made my Course licence though as was too expensive for me back then. But I spend quite some time on the driving range and test bunkers. And me and my friends played a few times the 9 hole course we where allowed to. But watching all those videos lately I really want to get into Golf again. I think I make my license this year and then try to not screw up every shot I take 🙄
Most jobs are 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for the average worker...so if you make golf your job there shouldn't be any reason not to spend 8 hours a day, 5 days a week on your golf if you want to be an average golfer on a pro-tour. Same as with work, if you want to be better than average or good, then you put in some more hours or days and chances are you excel...if you have the talent, you are the one who determines what you limits are and what you are prepared to do to achieve it.
G, did you ask Brad the right question? You might have learned more if you asked him "what do PGA golfers do that I do not?" One answer would be that they play par 3's closer to par. They putt better. They don't normally have swing breakdowns like that feared snap hook that shows up under pressure. Mostly their mental games are a LOT better. You can figure that out.
suggestion - can you put the fullswing data on the tee shots in the corner? only on this channel, it's fun to see high caliber players and what they cruise at...i do wonder how Luke feels about now being excluded from the "good golfer" club...
Garrett you know as well as anyone even the most talented players may never play a PGA Tour event for a number of reasons. Sometimes it is just bad luck, bad timing, one bad swing or missed putt. However, you have done something most P.G.A. professionals and Tour Pro will never accomplish to promote the game and have fun in front of thousands. You still have fun and people enjoy watching you and the people you play with regardless of what your score card says at the end of the day. You are doing exactly what a professional is supposed to do grow interest and participation in the game of golf. One day you may get to play in a PGA Tour event I wish you all the luck and hope you do. Long term I think you will look back and say I helped grow the game I love and had a hell of a time doing it. Keep chasing your dreams where ever they may take you!
I have a good friend who i played many rounds with. He competed on the Japanese tour for five years plus 3 or 4 years on the Asian tour. He also had a number of PGA starts through Monday qualifying. Unless you are the best and make it early on tour its very hard to keep going without a financal sponsir. The Japanese tour payed fairly well, but the cost of living and travel was very high. Even if you look at the corn Ferry tour the money is not good if you dont finish the year top 30, your going into debt. My buddy shot 4 under or better every round i played with him. We figured he was three quarters of a shot per round not quite good enough. Luke, Brad, and my pal played four years of D1 college golf. Witthout that training it would be almost impossible to make it on tour.
My dad told me about a bowler from my area. Many years ago. Carried a 230 average on the crap local lanes. Went on tour. He had to quit after a year because his body couldn't hold up under the stress of bowling 100 games a week. This, classified under, "things we don't realize."
With so many golfers in the tour being semi unknown to non super golf fans. And seeing them shoot over par. You can do it! Brad and Kwon should give it a try haha
I think the hardest is playing consistently no matter pace etc. Think about all the rounds you play fast get into them and light up the course. Now take and add time in between every shot waiting. PGA players are so consistent slow or fast. Windy or calm.
Only one way to find out G! Better to have tried and failed than to have failed to try! Advantage for you is you've already got a good good thing going 👌
I wish I could spend my day working on my golf game and going to the gym. I truly believe if I was able to do that, I could make it to the pga. I might be delusional, but I’m already almost a scratch golfer and I can barely practice for a couple hours throughout the week and might be able to play once a week.
I m a 12 hcp and shot a 94 on a pretty hard course today. The thing is I struck the ball really well and actually had a decent game but couldn’t score. Man it seems you sometimes hit great shots with bad results and bad shots that end up good. 😅putting is the key
You played with Min Wo Lee, if you can hang with him- you can make it. Also, tour course set ups are crazy hard. Approach shots need to be inside 20’. RU-vid more fun and maybe more money than low line pro.
I would prefer RU-vid golf over pga tour golf all day long. Seems like you get to play golf instead of having to play. Yall are some very fortunate guys man. It’s awesome.
I think Grant is every bit as good as George. I think you and Micah have potential to play on tour, but Micah needs to see major improvement on his short game. You are so naturally gifted, I don’t think there is one specific area to work on except for the mental aspect.
