Hey atrioc, being as a person who is currently trying to open up his own business. I would be interested in seeing a marketing monday revolved around small businesses. Just a suggestion, also your content has been so consistently top tier for a significant amount of time. I would not be surprised to see you having a ramp period this year where this channel gets close to a million subs.
@@danlorett2184lets say dudes theory is correct then coke would have lose stocks and pepsi would have increased in stocks instead at least in my understanding of this situation Edit: if ronaldo said coke is bad and pepsi is good in this situation
@@danielburgess7101 That was over 15 years ago. When you are just barely an adult you have a totally different view of the world as with 36 lol. And he especially him, as he changed his diet, his training and his whole lifestyle a lot since then.
@@LucaBl that’s true, and ultimately it’s the morally right thing to not promote it. But there is always an element of publicity behind a very advertisement conscious decision like that.
Really enjoyed this brand new segment you did called marketing Monday! I’ve been a 3 month sub on twitch and this is the best content I’ve seen you should definitely make this a series
weird to see atrioc talking about Paul Mcbeth. I've been following disc golf for around 5 years now and the growth has been astounding, and the pandemic shot it through the roof. Discraft got an incredible deal with that contract.
Yeah isn’t it weird seeing it break into the mainstream point of view every once in a while. Even a year ago it was so niche and unknown but McBeast is doing a heart job as the face of disc golf
I honestly love that tv is losing traction. Brands coming to smaller more niche creators who have hardcore fans makes being a content creator even more financially feasible. Plus tv sucks in every way. Commercials are too long, it’s criminally expensive, and they never seem to play the shows you want. It’s a great shift from corporations controlling our entertainment to individuals.
haha i have lost 400k in the last week. please elon. please. please elon my god. please my lord and saviour elon. please tweet about it. please. please. my family is mad at me. i am holding. please elon.
The "get a good nights sleep two nights in a row" is actually such a life changer. Couple that with eating even somewhat healthy, and I feel like a whole different person.
My family and I totally take full advantage of the low priced concession themed foods at Costco and Sam's Club. I run at my local university, so with COVID restrictions during this past indoor track season on having no spectators allowed at the meets, my family would buy Sam's Club hotdogs and pretzels and eat them at home while live streaming the races. Nice way of having that experience without being there!
One could argue "influencers" have been around since tv... like sports, musicians, and people in media... disc golf is as much of a sport as any, just has a growing fanbase
1:59 Funny how it's a veteran PR strategy to be chill and not get triggered by someone's personal life choices. To be fair most people aren't capable of this either lmao
I just worked through the puzzle, it seems literally impossible. If you're feeling the same, there's one huge trick that will open the whole thing up for you (spoilers ahead): The first clue never says the order in left to right, it says "one side to the other". Good luck Kings.
Fuck man... I'm watching this at 4:13am on a Thursday morning because I stayed up all night grinding leauge. And then he hits me with that ending???????
The energy comment/advice is so true, as someone who's suffered with injury, bad sleep and ZERO energy for the last few months, it's the number one thing that aids success in life IMO.
The Costco thing is really interesting. Costco loses several million dollars a year from their rotisserie chickens, with them only being like $5 for a full chicken
I mean a 250B dollar company losing 3B in value isn't crazy. It gets headlines and clicks but if you say "Coca cola lost 1.2% of value, stock still same as start of year" thats not going to grab clicks.
LOL so true at the end, starting full time next week and been working to fix my sleep schedule/stop drinking. it's incredible how much healthier i fell and how much more motivated i am in general
bro i legit went and did the logic puzzle the second I saw it on screen then got sad thinking I was wrong when he showed the one guy then realised that I was not dumb
The coke thing carried on over the next few days. Players would start drinking the coke or putting extra on the table because of the publicity. One guy said ‘I love coke please sponsor me’. Not everyone is as rich as Ronaldo. (FYI Ronaldo used to be sponsored by them but they fell out)
"The problem for the all-powerful Ronaldo story is that Coke was already down 0.9% in trading between 9:30 and 9:44 am, according to the trading charts. Coke closed Friday’s trading at $55.74 and opened Monday lower. By 9:44 am, Coke shares had fallen to $54.25, a loss of $2.1 billion off its market cap already-before Ronaldo even spied the sugary drink. Based on the trading charts, Coke actually traded higher after the press event began (maybe because Ronaldo touched the bottles?!), slipping to $55.21 five minutes in and not hitting its low for the day of $55.20 until 10:20 am EDT." Copied from the Sportico article "NO, RONALDO DIDN’T WIPE BILLIONS FROM COKE’S VALUE" so actually not true at all.
Paul Mcbeth is the GOAT of disc golf, like put mang0 and armada together and you get Paul (Also there's Ken Climo that has more world champs but that was a different era, like Ken in smash). He's a 5 time world champ (would have been 6 this year if not for James Conrad's most clutch shot of all time on the last hole). I played disc golf in 2015 and there was some grassroots youtube videos showing tournaments, it was very small and niche, but 6 years later, disc golf has grown so much and the grassroots youtube videos are now going very very strong.
“Just try getting a good night’s sleep two nights in a row” I’m literally up at 1 AM because my professor is making me redo a project and it’s due in six hours, I’m just not allowed to get a good night’s sleep
Atrioc I know what you mean with the 2 night sleep thing, I once did that and it felt absolutely amazing just getting some better sleep and I was able to do so much more. That is why I haven't changed a bit and basically never sleep or drink water because I want to feel like I am at the urge of death so that I play video games better :)
You're the first person I've seen point out that BTC and ETH are the only coins with long term use cases, and I'd consider BTC on shaky ground unless they move to proof of stake. The environmentalists won't tolerate such a waste of energy.
Man, as a crypto guy I couldn't agree more regarding dogecoin. Though, while i think we basically agree - and BTC and ETH should probably make up most, if not all, of the average person's crypto portfolio - , respectfully disagree re: your comment on bitcoin and ethereum being the only two "coins" that have a long term shot, as different protocols/networks/'coins' provide different technologies and solve different problems. But yes, like 99% of current cryptocurrencies will be totally obsolete IMO- including dogecoin - and CERTAINLY all these other exact copies or ERC20 tokens like SAFE[fill in the blank]. I know I'm nitpicking... I just hate the negative attention shit like this brings to the space, and try to take the opportunity to educate people as I truly believe there is life changing wealth to be made with blockchain technology. And if you're reading this any time near to when it was posted, know that you're still relatively early. Dollar cost averaging is one's friend- in any asset. Sigh, I digress...fuggin' dogecoin smh
Doge’s value is purely based on Elon’s hype, it can’t maintain it’s current price point without that. The take about btc and eth was just ignorant, other coins like ada, matic, bnb, and several others have real long term potential as well
@@thealphas1 I mean doge has been around long before Elon. It was one of the first cryptocurrencies funnily enough. Its 'value' is the meme (which personally, to me isnt very high). But it's essentially a carbon copy of old bitcoin, but with more "shares".
To be fair to McBeth, Discraft and McBeth have been partners for many years and he has been the best disc golfer for the past almost decade. However, he got a MASSIVE bag comparatively. He used to be on a $1M deal, so he went +1000%. Sheeeeesh
Damn that last line "see how it feels to get a good nights sleep 2 nights in a row." Ive been sleeping at like 2-3am for the past few weeks and honestly Big A I might try out your advice and get back to you and see how I feels.
I finished my exams with uni like a week ago and have been sleeping like 8-10hrs a day the last week. Can say that I have not felt at all stressed or worried in this time even though I may well have failed my exam. Also been dreaming a tonne more than I usually do. Thought everyone here would be interested in my personal life. Thanks for your time :)
Speaking of Sony, have you heard about the God of War 2 Press Party? Apparently it was a total disaster - they had a beheaded goat, and topless women feeding people grapes??? Seems like its worth covering.
quAck didn’t put my question in the q&a. it was do you think there will be too many marketers after everyone who watches marketing monday becomes marketers
