I was thinking the same. My fav moment like this was during one of the Scary Holdings John Scofield solos with Mononeon and Louis Cole. The look Ryan gave Jack was like, “Holy shit that was good. Wait- Jack, you heard that, right? And can you believe that just happened right here in front of us?”

Alicia Keys did a version she actually released as a single a while back (her earlier career). No it’s not as good as the original (or this for that matter) but I think it brought a lot of younger people to the awareness of the song, for better or worse :)

Not a huge JB fan…massive respect for him regardless. But here, this is some of the most tasteful playing I’ve heard from him. Not overplaying. Simply playing within the context of the material and nailing it. Great cover by the whole band!! One of the best I’ve heard by SP.

Wow... Her voice is so effortless. No notes are safe from her voice. She has so much more in the tank vocally. She was definitely born to do this. Its like Heidi Klum and Bonnie Rait had a perfect lady baby with the voice an angel lol. Between this and her last cover with them I have no idea why she isn't the most famous vocalist on the friggin planet. Please keep doing new jams with her. Normally I despise Prince covers. More often than not people butcher them. I didn’t like Alicia Keys cover of this song, and Prince gave her his blessing. This cover is awesome 😮 the musicianship is excellent! The way the keyboard player looks at the singer as she hits that note says it all.
