ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

I think there are copyright issues with the Rom persona used in the comics , Marvel / Disney doesn’t own it anymore and can’t use it . I don’t know if they can release a Rom Knight figure that would be cool and pure nostalgia again.

Interesting character, I read the Crystar story back in the 80’s , and really loved it , the rivalry between 2 brothers who chose different forms to fight themselves . Very fantasy character, it’s nice to see it on figure form now. One thing I would have liked is to have a head without the helmet , as he could be in the comic book , but in all aspects it’s a nice figure. Thanks for the review.

I had the original and used to pretend he was Ice-Man, so I'm very happy to have this in my collection, though I wish they gave us a spare head or we could remove the helmet! Definitely hope they use this sculpt to give us a proper amazing friends/80s Ice-Man with the edges!! 🤞

Hey Shark, I got a Crystar and guess what, from the hip down he has two left legs. I tried finding a replacement but no other GameStop around here has this wave. I reached out to Hasbro so I’m waiting. I had two of these originals back when I was ten. Loved the character and I had issue 1 then too! Love it, you nailed all the detail! Thank you my friend!

I remember this character from the original toy line in the 80’s, and I sadly never had the original figure though, and I noticed you pronounced his name right unlike that guy in Canada who has RU-vid channel and he calls himself Michael Mercy💁🏻‍♂👍🏻👍🏻.

Cool figure. I remember seeing Crystar comics on the spinner rack at this department store that i went to. On subsequent visits...usually monthly...that issue of Crystar would be on the rack and was more beaten up each time i visited. God knows how long it ended up staying there. That is my only real memory of the character. But i do like his Marvel Legend.

Boot swivels don't matter because people's lower legs don't turn their foot facing the other way anyways . but I truly like the figure I'm familiar with this Crystar character I had bought some of his comics . In the early eighties so this figure is very awesome to me. I'm definitely going to get him . Very nostalgic . And very accurate looking. To the comics. Hasbro did good again with this figure .

I had this toy with a bunch my mom got me when the Marvel ones all had big shields with shiny "holographic" cardboard images you could swap out. Had the DC figures too but you squeezed their arms or legs to get the arms or legs to run punch and swim. However I never knew who it was 😂 I thought maybe iceman? No idea.

I will actually be using Crystar as obscure WW2 Hero Blue Diamond in my Invaders Team. I had the original Crystar years ago and that's what I used him as. I unfortunately lost him when I moved from California.

Right now I'm using Fudges to make an expanded Invaders: WW2 Captain America (in fatiques from 2-pack with Agent Carter) Bucky (from another with another WW2 Cap) Human Torch (Johnny Storm without a '4' symbol) Toro (older, smaller Johnny Storm without a '4' symbol) Namor the Sub-Mariner Union Jack Captain Britain (Captain Carter) Jack Frost (AOA Iceman) Blue Diamond (Crystar) Wolverine (he was in WW2 and it gives me a Canadian)

Okay I'm 48 years old Canadian and I knew who Christopher was when you got it. I need to ordered it. I watched the video but there's certain things about marvel comics as them adding him into things that they haven't done. Do you or do you not remember this group of robots called transformers or military soldiers who weren't under Nick fury called GI Joe's? They're still part of the marvel universe. Same with come on. George Lucas await Disney. Bob marvel Disney bought George Lucas. Where was the original comic books produced for Star wars? Those are all people that are intertwined to the marvel universe and they only use a fraction😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

I've always thought Crystar looked cool, and this figure does look awesome, but it's yet another sign of the utter stupidity of Hasbro. Who wants to buy Crystar when he's not related to the rest of the Marvel universe and there are no other Crystar characters being released? Why not Mandarin or Swordsman or any of the other several hundred classic Marvel characters fans are waiting for? Hasbro is run by idiots. No wonder their stock dropped 45%!
