I’m a dodgers fan, so I was happy watching him ball out last season. Getting rid of the shift helped him and bellinger a lot. And btw you did a great job with this video, It was enjoyable to watch and well researched. Looking forward to what you do next🔥
Must've definitely hurt losing Seager a couple years ago, but it was always in the back of my head that they were spending less the last free agencies to go big with Shohei! I'm glad you enjoyed the vid :)
What's insane to me is that against all pitch types that he saw more than once last season, he slugged .545 or better, and the only pitch that saw his average dip below .300 was the sinker (.294). That's crazy!
I agree with you and have said that forever ...BUT... with the analytics of today and the high level of pitching, banning the shift was the right move for the entertainment value of the game. Are you correct? Yes... but seeing some lefty struggle to dribble a glorified bunt off of the hands down the third base line isn't going to get butts in the seats.
When they were talking about banning it I was 100% against it, and the only reason I'm good with it now, is because they only banned the Extreme Shift. It's hard enough to get a hit without the shift.
If it makes you feel better I love that he's on my Rangers squad. Could you imagine the Dodgers with Seager on that team with Ohtani, Betts, and Freeman. Fck that noise.
Good stuff man. Somehow you got recommended and I’ve really been enjoying your stuff. Keep it up. Braves fan but I still love Seager even when he was a dodger.
seager puts statlines up like this for the remainder of his career and he will be first ballot when he can get elected he very well could have broken a record without that hamstring aggrivation but i guess baseball gods dont want him to be a one hit wonder in one season for example those pitchers that throw no hitters then retire from bad careers after the no hit
I hope he continues performing well he's an awesome player to watch. I agree, if he continues to perform well for the next at least 6/7 years then he's a lock for the hall. Having 2 World Series MVP's definitely does not hurt...
It'll be interesting, it seems like the Yankees might have a repeat of their 2023 season with the news to Gerrit Cole yesterday. As a fan of the Jays it makes the division easier, but I never like seeing a player as awesome to watch as Cole potentially require TJS.
Nah enough with Bauer. There’s so many videos that cover his story. There’s thousands of players throughout history with great stories but 10% of the baseball stories on RU-vid are about Bauer haha
I truly believe that the MLB attendance records had far more to do with people rushing out to do things after the pandemic and absolutely nothing to do with the pitch clock, more stolen bases, or the shift ban. I think the MLB used that stat to justify the changes, and I think you’ll see attendance numbers take dip this season.
Yep.. and all it does is make fukfac... i mean Manfuk.... I mean ... All it does is make Manfred think he was SOOOO right and encourages him to make more dumbass changes
Toronto, Seattle, Atlanta, Houston and Philly were all concurrently competitive teams in large markets, Dodgers and Yankees and Cardinals are always a big draw and a lot tickets bought by Padres and Mets fans before the season started thanks to their expectations carrying over from 2022. The teams that have the metro area population to draw well were all reasonably competitive.
@@3-0Greenlight A lot of commentators pronounce Adolis' name the same way you did. It's really a non-issue. Keep up the great work, and thank you for covering my Rangers!!
