The popularity of this ship always baffled me. I get that Klaus is charming and attractive, but he is literally the worst. He has exactly two personality traits: Smarmy and pouty.

Klaus is obviously not just a villain. As screwed up as his actions are, he does love his family and does feel affection for a lack of a better word, for Caroline. He didn't have to save her. He also didn't have to offer up his wrist either. That was intimate 😏
I feel so bad for Elena, she had survivors guilt going over that bridge where her parents died, and Stefan force feeding her blood to get back at klaus was so messed up. I feel so bad for Elena, she always gets traumatized. I can't even imagine the pain she must have been feeling at that moment.

Klaus pisses me off so much this episode. The nerve he has to force Tyler to bite Caroline, then acts like her savior when he comes to feed her his blood. He’s so manipulative!
Everytime I re-watch this I always think how Stefan could've threatened Elena's life in any other way and it would've worked on Klaus just the same... He CHOSE the bridge, like, WTF my dude
Honestly, I've been in a wreck that I shouldn't have walked away from. If I had to go down the same street it'd really shake me up. Going down the same street at top speeds, knowing it's someone's intent for it to end the same way? Couldn't imagine. That would change the way I looked at someone forever for sure
“It’s right, just not right now.” It’s such a good line from damon. He’s telling her that he is willing to wait for her, however long she needs. You can tell that Elena wanted to kiss him at the porch, but she’s saying no right now. There is mutual feelings between them and it’s so obvious. her feelings for damon have grown so immensely. 15:10 I also love that Bryce is a full delena shipper now, welcome to the team.
This is when it all changed for Elena. In my opinion, it was just never the same after that. Stefan, humanity or not, pushed her too far. While she and Damon had grown closer since last season, she did everything she could to save Stefan. But after everything, he did this to her.
This is one of my favorite episodes because of Caroline‘s birthday. For my friends and I life stopped too at 16/17 because of the pandemic. No one could really move on. We all turned 18 in lockdown without a celebration. We live in Germany, 18 was supposed to be the age you start adulthood with. The only difference is Caroline is stuck in her teenage years and we got robbed of them. A metaphorical funeral is a nice sentiment
Stefan said he lost her the minute he left town with Klaus…in a way, he knew Elena developed feelings for Damon already which is part of the reason why he’s so fixated on taking down klaus (ie that’s all he has left). It’s really quite sad.
Some interesting foreshadowing this episode that I never noticed till now. No spoilers though, but y’all are gonna be so surprised in the season finale
@@anjieeee Elena & Matt hold a funeral for Elena at wicker bridge. They said that Elena’s past self died on that bridge. Reminiscent of the season 3 finale when she will actually die on the bridge & will turn to a vampire & no long be who she used to be.
12:52 I agree, definitely messed up. It’s also interesting that Stefan always considers what Elena wants, even if he doesn’t agree with it (when his humanity is on). Elena doesn’t offer Jeremy the same consideration, she puts what she thinks is best as the foremost priority even if it’s morally messy, the same way Damon does when it comes to her. That never really clicked before until now.
This isn't to defend him because he was wrong for this BUT keep in mind the only emotion Stefan has right now is anger. He's not allowing himself to feel anything else but anger towards Klaus for taking everything away from him. I could use a great example of someone else doing this but I don't wanna spoil it for you.
What Stefan did was HORRIBLE. While his anger at Klaus is understandable and even justifiable, there is NO excuse for doing that to Elena. Sincerely, a Stefan stan. Also, Klaus is horrible. Gorgeous but horrible. That being said, I have to agree that Elena doing that to Jeremy is messed up, even if it is coming from a good place. And someone should really monitor the comments. I get heated too when it comes to certain characters but the borderline spoilers are too much.
Monitor is the word you're looking for. I think getting moderators for the comments is a good idea. There aren't just borderline spoilers there are full on spoilers. A moderator would be good for some of the more inappropriate/mean comments too.
Oh yeah to clarify Matt didn't lit those candles when he brought Vicki back to life. The Original witch (the one Vicki was talking to) did from the other side!

Her brother almost got run over by a car because of something her ex boyfriend did. Elena would be livid cause people are coming after her and she wants to protect her family but Jeremy isn’t the main target.. he’s just collateral so it makes sense why she would do this. She’s lost everyone and would rather be gone than lose more people

I just watched your guys reaction to “Your Name” and “Silent Voice” on RU-vid.. I loved your guys reaction and commentary about the movies. I love all of your reactions to anything you all watch because you guys actually seem to care about the message of the movie or show that’s being represented. I can tell the emotion is genuine. :) There are 2 anime movies that I want to recommend that I don’t see being noticed enough called: “Josee, The Tiger, and the Fish.” It’s represents a girl that is paralyzed and depressed who gets a caretaker that helps her see the world differently. And “Ride your Wave” And it’s about coping with life after tragedy. Whether or not it’s posted online I don’t care but I think you all would really enjoy those movies. :)
Fun fact: Meredith was a main character in the TVD books from the beginning. She was one of Elena's best friends. I was excited when she first appeared in the show...
What Stefan did was awful, not ok, but I will never understand how people say elena should never forgive him and how he doesn’t deserve redemption from it, yet they drool over Delena when Damon literally SA Caroline, tried to force himself on elena, and snapped Jeremy’s neck when she rejected him. It’s wild to me. This is the ONE hurtful thing Stefan does to elena, yet everything Damon did to her and everyone else is forgiven.
There's one thing that only those who have read the books remember is that sharing blood between vampires is considered very intimate, so every scene with vampires drinking another vampire's blood directly from the vein makes me uncomfortable. In the books, the human Elena does something similar with salvatores giving them blood while also drinking their blood.
I honestly felt so bad for Tyler. it was so messed up of Klaus to force Tyler to bite his girlfriend on her birthday. he stood up to Klaus, but he couldn't fight the sire bond that Klaus has against him--taking away his free will. klaus did all of this just to be invited in caroline's home to heal her from the chaos he caused is so damn wild. I honestly had no idea what I felt watching that scene tbh.
