I am a HUGE fan of Chris Stapleton. He has always been a song writer. This happened to come out exactly at the time I was going through it. Man this is it!!!!! Don't know if I'll ever get over this but I do know this man will be my favorite until the day I die!!!!!

I pray that you or anyone else has to ever endure such an emotional pain. It takes a lot of time to overcome it. I know first hand about it but I'm gettin through it now

Chris said in interview once that when he sang this he had to take his mind back to that time when he wrote this song. So I’d say yes, he went through this IMO. I’m sure you know by now that Chris writes all his songs & produces them. He’s a great artist! 1 in a million! A living Legend.

It is a rare talent and Chris is one of the few with that skill. Try reacting to Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa performing Etta James's orginal "II'll Take Care of You" live at the Beacon Theater. Beth has an amazing souful voice and Joe is one of the best guitarists on the planet.

Here are a few other of his songs where you can just feel the emotion punching you in the face. "Either Way," live on Charlie Rose if you can get it. (And the lyric is, "I WON'T love you either way," but that's a little muddy in the live version and I've seen more than one person has thought it said, "I'LL love you either way." Big difference in what the message of the song is. "Sometimes I Cry," live at Bing Lounge. "Fire Away," the official video (put the CC on.) Only one of two songs I recommend anything other than live. Chris Stapleton “had me” when I heard him sing for the first time. Chris has God-Given talents with playing the guitar, singing and writing songs. He is happily married and has five children. It’s my guess that he is an empath and can feel and see what others go through. I believe that’s the reason why he can get up there and sing a song and make you feel like he is feeling it himself. This makes him a true artist in my opinion. I’ve seen where people are asking what genre is Chris Stapleton. Again, in my opinion Chris Stapleton is in his own genre called “Chris Stapleton.” There is no one like him out there. I’ve loved every song of his that I’ve listen to. I’ve bought every piece of music that he has published. The man is awesome! I really appreciate your reaction. It was true and very heartfelt. I believe as you do!
