HA! 20/20 bacon is more than sizzling in this movie man he was freaking awesome and Penn. Oh well Chris Penn was fabulous and his new counterpart. Miles Teller totally fits the deal. He’s freaking awesome in this movie. I want to see this movie. I was in shirt because of the dirty dancing disaster that happened when they tried to remake it just leave it alone. Good God, but this this is worth a watch, one of the rare, very rare ones that fit the bill
Loved him in "To Wong Foo, thanks for everything Julie Newmar" yes thats the real movie title... it's a fantastic movie.... didnt cast Chris Penn in the best light but he was a fantastic actor none the less.
@@candaceclark2930 actually it's easy for dancers to dance bad or cheesy. Derek Hough does it all the time. It's for fun and puts others at ease at like weddings and stuff
Soooooooo hard to believe this film will be 40 years old next month! One of the best 80's films EVER!!! I remember seeing this with my family when it came out in theaters - I was 8 years old. We immediately bought the soundtrack (on cassette) which was in heavy rotation for years! RIP Chris Penn!
@@leestockton9367 best times of my life though. had a full time job with the family plumbing company, joined the volunteer fire deptment (became a paid FF in 1982.) was racing cars from 1978.worked part time as a bouncer and was in great shape.broke my back in 1995, everything came to a screeching halt... lol
Just watched this movie again its 2024 im a 52 year old British bloke and i cant lie this genuinely made me cry with happiness, such a brilliant movie,i went to see this on my 13 th birthday at the cinema, great film then too Happy days everyone
On April 12th I will be watching the movie in honor of Kevin Bacon's return to Payson High for their prom before the epic high school is demolished. He is so awesome to do this for them!
This was the #1 song for a while until it was dethroned by Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time. It was also nominated for an Academy Award but lost to Stevie Wonder’s I Just Called to Say I Love You. Pop music was on fire in 1984.
I was obsessed with this song when I was 9. I remember convincing my grandmother to put it on the jukebox at her bar. I recall playing it over and over again.
I’m buying my 17 year old niece a car stereo atmo, sub woofers amp, speakers and deck as she just got her license and car ..and my sister is carrying on like John Lithgow did in his preaching regarding driving , music and dancing ? I love to get to spite her as I always have done since we were kids…..I’m approaching 50 years old and laughing every time. P.S I’ll have to throw the footloose soundtrack in for extra spice !😂

This movie came out my senior year of high school & was the theme of my senior prom back in 1984. I'm 58 years old now, & I still listen to the soundtrack in CD & I still watch the movie on DVD, & yes my profile picture is current!! 😜💯
I love this movie till the 80s. I think I was 14 years old and I will never never never forget this wonderfull, special, extraordinary, lovely, exited time. I think it was the best time in my hole life! Footloose is the soundtrack to this time!
Kevin Bacon and Chris Penn (R.I.P ) the stars of that film , they were young and with a lot of energy to demonstrate their skills in dancing……and of course in acting too …..
I think every young person under 30 should make it a point to watch: original Footloose, Dirty Dancing, Breakfast Club, ET, Top Gun…. Damn. My mind is blank.
@@JulianaFrick1 lol. I never was one of those parents. But! I sent a text to my daughter that every month she and her boyfriend should have a movie night where they watch a movie of my choosing from my childhood / teens…. First movie I sent was Goonies, she quickly called me to inform me that while I may not have been forcing these movies down her, she had found them all on her own. lol. She had watched every movie I could think to name.
Loved watching character Willard learn to dance, played by actor Chris Penn, brother of actor Sean Penn. Gotta give Chris Penn credit for screwing up his early practice dancing, it's hard to do when you intentionally want to mess up.
Wow - I remember watching this movie in the theater's when it first came out (I was a sophomore in high school) and I fell in love with it. I have it in my collection and every once in a while I pull it out and have some great memories of it, and the time in my life when it came out. Kevin Bacon was amazing, but damn - Chris Penn was sooooooo hot in this film. He's almost unrecognizable from his later years when he gained all the weight and before his personal issues... but he represented a gay man's dream back then. RIP Chris. Thanks for the great memories!
I remember my mom going to see this with me as a teen. What a movie this was! Now that she is gone whenever I see this movie I think of her. 1984 was such a great year. Wish I could go back!
I loved the first Footloose. Kevin was such a hunk back then!! What? It's been 40 years already!! I kind of liked the 2nd Footlosse movie as well. Especially the Line Dancing at the end...
OMG!! I watched this for the 1st time last night on Netflix and fell in love with Willard! I didn't know he passed or was the guy on a few movies I've seen. Had to come watch this again my favorite part! #RIPChrisPenn
He was incredible. All that matters is what he left behind for us. He was amazing, and a great man. I loved you Chris Penn. Always will. Godspeed❤️❗❗❗❗❗😺
Another great song/video from the epic Footloose movie. Hard to believe it was forty years ago since the music world heard it for the boy. Deniece Williams gave a perfect rendition.
