How Daddy-Daughter Duo Mat and Savanna Shaw Found Success 

Mat and Savanna, words are hard to describe how much joy you have brought me. I can relate to your special relationship with each other because my relationship with Mom (Sara T. Adams) was very much like yours. I however am an only child. I am a musician as well, although it is not a profession but it is a gift. I was blessed to have Mom for 52 years of my life. 2 years ago, at the wonderful old age of 88, Mom went home to be with Jesus. God used my Mom to give me both the gift of, the love for, and the passion in music. When I both see your love for each other and your amazing artistry, the smile that comes across my face is so overwhelming! Mom was my biggest fan. I am glad that Mom is now completely whole now and aware. She had dementia. I do miss having my biggest fan around. Maybe that is why you came. Your wonderful relationship is like a mirror to mine with Mom. God bless you for sharing and giving us so much joy! I love you both so much!

Mat and Savanna Shaw and their music and their story are like that favorite book on your shelf that you will never part with . . . I could listen to the Shaw's sing over and over again, can hear their story repeatedly, can watch their music and interview videos on "repeat" because it's the story of talent, people focusing on their gifts and not the type of image and promotion so common once someone becomes "popular." I can't wait to see them continue to develop and sing on for years to come.

You guys are the greatest and you deserve all the success. I have a question for you: when you sing a copyrighted cover like Hallelujah for example and then sell it, etc....how do you get around the copyright laws? Do you go to the copyright holder and have to pay them a certain commission for every time the song sells. What about monetizing YT with those songs?....I am just curious, because I have created a Piano Method for Young Children, including those with Special Needs and would like to include some music that is unfortunately copyrighted, so I have only arranged music that is in the public domain.....Thanks.....Daniela
