Dalilah Muhammad of the United States has been one of the most dominant athletes in the sport since winning gold in the 400mH at the 2007 World Youth Championships. Since then, she has won multiple Olympic and World Championship medals, as well as run some of the fastest times in history.
Muhammad's combined achievements over the last 8 years have surpassed those of her peers, both past and present, which I think currently makes her the greatest Women's 400m hurdler in the history of the sport.
**Note: Tatyana Zelentsova of the Soviet Union also broke the world record on two occasions, running 55.31 and 54.89 in 1978. Though she won the European Championships that year, the Women's 400mH was not introduced as an event at the World Championships until 1983 and the Olympics in 1984, so Zelentsova never had the opportunity to compete at either before she retired.
