Am I missing some very subtle part of your argument? Are you making a distinction here between the English title "God" and the Hebrew "Elohim"? I'm trying to understand because repeatedly, in the Psalms, God is addressed as "God." This is only a sampling from the first 30 or so Psalms. I could keep multiplying these. Psalm 3:7 Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. Psalm 4:1 Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer! Psalm 5:2 Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray. Psalm 5:10 Make them bear their guilt, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; because of the abundance of their transgressions cast them out, for they have rebelled against you. Psalm 7:1 O Lord my God, in you do I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me, Psalm 7:3 O Lord my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands, Psalm 7:9 Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and may you establish the righteous- you who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God! @@chadbird1517 Nope. Nothing that fancy. Just what you see there in very plain language. We have a lot of habits that are just not Scriptural at all.
