I have found that many doctors are encouraged not to order more than a few MRIs for people over 70 because of Medicare. The assumption is that your back is too far gone to fix anything. Glad that you are showing people that are making improvement. It takes time, it can be done. All the best.

My insurance, not medicare declined even though my Dr, a Neurologist and chiro and PT said you need an MRI so we can see whats up before we go any further. I went down to the MRI place and asked how much if I pay out of pocket cash. Amazing what they would bill insurance was $1270.00 and for me to pay...$720.00. Had the MRI and got to the bottom of things and started a treatment plan.

Thanks for the videos and responses you’ve given me Charlie. Over the past few weeks I have made remarkable progress and it just happened organically in my life. Without going into too much detail, I’ve actually done the things that would cause me pain. I’ve taken long car rides, I’ve played a few poker tournaments with friends and sat for HOURS on end (I get up and walk about a few times an hour). Surprisingly and counterintuitively, I have dramatically reduced my symptoms in every aspect of my life. When I stand up from sitting, I still usually need 10 to 20 steps to get rid of the sciatica pain, but I seriously can’t believe how much better I am feeling overall. If you asked me if I thought I would be feeling like this several weeks ago, there is no way I would have answered that it was possible.

Very common Sheryl. Don’t treat the diagnosis- treat the pain experience!

hi Dr Charlie bit of a description writing out but hope you read this, first off though was a great testimony happy the lady got her problem sorted you are a rare breed in the industry I'm coming to realize, so my problem for over 2 years my L5 L4 disc's slip out of alignment and need continuously resetting, pushing my fists into lumbar spine while bending back until get the crack, does the trick giving much needed relieve but unfortunately within half hour sometimes less need to do it all over again, finally had enough went to doctor got an xray, shows S1 l5 L4 have shortened (ONLY MODERATE FROM WHAT MY DR THINKS), dr said physical therapy will fix it but I've been very motivated with exercises targeting the QL muscle core conditioning blah blah but still have to re set my disc's back into place DOESN'T MATTER WHAT i DO, I'm really unsure what to do apart from booking into a spine specialist getting mri scan etc dr basically laughed at me when said I think it's quite serious and might need mri maybe would need disc fusion operation, so my question, is that an alarming lumbar spine issue? have you dealt with this back issue before? manually resetting at least 10 times a day sometimes more depends, it's exhausting I'm mostly fine when can reset them back into place but when not I'm a sneeze away from herniated disc's which use to happen quite often, can't seem to find much online information for what my back does, I'm talking loud cracks that sound like 2 bowling balls making contact, you seem very passionate and have empathy for back problems in people don't expect a reply just interested to see what you think of this back problem, from what I have researched this might be a disc fusion operation but again the dr said that's very unlikely, I really can't fathom a weak back can make the disc's slip out to the degree I have, I'm also fit healthy flexible- strong core all that jazz just have 3 disc's that don't wanna stay in anyway cheers if you answer
