But what do you do when they are so rusted and break off inside the retaining channel I try to get them out with a hammer and screwdriver A really sharp chisel the wont come out Wtf Do I do ,I have three broken off there's not much clip material showing its the rear u joint on A 94 ford ranger splash Im screwed I've lost my Patience They have been soaking in Liquid wrench for three days ,Any advise would be appreciated
ARCTURUS ever find a solution I broke the rear yoke when I didn’t se a piece of the clip there in my 92 ranger still want to replace my front joint but too scared
@@camillepeterson1872 you have to spray liquid wrench on them let it soak get a peice of round stock small enough to hammer the center to take the pressure off the broken peice Use a BIG hammer I wound up building a 6 ton hydraulic press It took me three hours to build I pressed the joints then used a small but very sharp chisel just catch the edge of the broken peice tap it back and forth keep spraying Liquid wrench on it and let it soak even better overnight mine took me 22 hours of torture..Good luck
Same story here, clip broke, was able to press the joint out but still have a broken clip that won’t come out. soaking it now, will give a day and try again
