Skip- Ad Go to the synth groups on Facebook and you'll be shown otherwise: people buying shitloads of gear without even making music, let alone fully understand their gear.
all this girl is doing is just mapping the sounds to any key/button she wants, and does it in a way that makes it look difficult (like the pinky and thumb playing two sounds in an extremely simple rhythm). It's literally nothing that a 1st year piano student couldn't do, and every pianist on earth.
Actually, she is not thinking much at all.... It is muscle memory - which, that itself, took quite a process of "neurons firing", as you put it.... The "multi-task" has become "one task" --- just like when you are first learning how to drive you got to think about a lot of stuff -- but in time, thought practice, it becomes an automated action, and you can even text (not suggested!) Nonetheless, impressive as fuck!
It's very good, vocals are amazing, but the "live" stuff is all post processing, The leads from the roli are recorded live, but everything else is enhanced after the initial recording.
This is actually amazing! Stumbled on this by accident, but I'm glad I did! As a guitarist, I love the tone and expression you're able to get out of the seaboard, those solos were sick, and that vocoded breakdown was amazing!
While many here were stunned by her technical abilities, I was really taken by her vocals. I am older and have written for many years. I could SO seriously hear doing some of my stuff. I mean her emotional presence is strong, tone is lovely and yes, her technical ability is superb also. The whole performance comes across as ONE piece and totally natural with nothing standing out over anything else. Quite the achievement. She has a GREAT ear. Very impressive. Gonna have to check out her other stuff!
Indeed. Her voice is her first instrument and that in itself is amazing. The keyboard playing is off the charts as well. She's a genius in her own right.
I haven't been this genuinely impressed with a musician in years. Her technical skills and understanding, her sheer musicality and physical coordination blow me away. Her voice is one to haunt your dreams. What an amazing talent! What I wouldn't give to spend 30 minutes with her discussing composition & recording techniques . . . . Wow.
Damn girl, you are seriously talented. To be able to sing, play keyboard and manage all those controllers at the same time is simply mind-blowing. Wow!
How can you only have 118k subscribers yet some idiot that eats chillies have 2.4M. RU-vid is a crazy place. Your talent astounds me, I wish you every success.
@@comptonopolis You have to tell each button she presses what to do and how to do it. Even the mic requires filters that she triggers or has set globally.
This is absolutely insane. I'm having trouble doing even two things at once using the ROLI because it's such a sensitive instrument. To sing, change patches and rotate between multiple controllers takes an insane level of skill and mastery. RESPECT. Also you have a great voice!
Thumbs down, really? Whoever does that, is just hating. This woman is amazing, has a GREAT voice, great DJ talent, and beautiful. But I guess successful and talented people will always have haters, it's just the way it is. Keep going beautiful and don't stop!
Masterful, amazing, multi tasking insanity, voice talent, sweet arrangement, musician, and beautiful. Im sure I missed more descriptors, but that is a good start.
She makes use of todays tech about as well as anyone out there. Haven't heard from her lately tho. Hoping she's OK. I go back to when state of the art in studios was a 2 track Ampex reel to reel tape machine lol! It's astonishing what has happened. Just glad I lived long enough to see it and get to use some of it myself.
This isn't my type of music but all that you got going on, the voice, the playing, the gear knowledge and all that it takes to do what you do is amazing, you're an amazing artist. 🤘😁🤘
look for a song you wanna learn and get the chords down. then when you try to sing just do down strums. like if theres an F above "I" in the line "I have a dream" strum down once at "I" while singing "I" and of course the rest of the line. if you're good with that, but with the whole song, learn the strumming pattern and practice that while singing. thats how i learned to sing and play in unison, I hope it helps you guys. goodluck !
Why don´t we see this girl in the charts? She´s an absolutely stunning performer and as you can see in her other videos, a brilliant songwriter as well! ...and if someday she wants to do something else than music, she can fly two spaceships simultaneously.....
This is multi tasking to another level..... amazing to keep singing and concentrating on pushing the right buttons and playing that Roli keyboard all at the same time.... Neon Vines, you're the best !!
Get out of town!! Been seeing a lot of live set drops and usually, i have it on in the background as i get on with my work but this set was exceptional. I was captivated throughout. The overhead camera was a good call! :)
I am speachless! What a voice....what musical skills, ....what a technical performance. Everything on a "how can you top this"-level...AT THE SAME TIME. I am blown away. What a shame that such a talent is not in top ten every month.
The fact you can sing is obvious, the thing that leaves me in awe of your work however is the ability to control and harmonize so many interfaces at the same time. I wonder if you sometimes sit back, in a quiet moment, and actually realise how damn clever you really are 🤔 I have nothing to gain from my words here, they are however a fact of your life! Fuck, I wish I had a fraction of your talent 👏👏👏
as someone who's a keyboard playing, ableton using, vocal singing performer, this was world class. The vocal was ridiculously well produced and performed for a live performance (I don't care how much post was done, that was spot on! If there's no post, then you have inhuman gifts!).
Wow, what a truly versatile multi-tasking artist! your all-rounder creativity is so profoundly magnificent. I'm so amazed and jealous, and absolutely loving your performance.
Wow wow wow ! As a man who plays guitar and has actively gigged the last five years .....this style of music making is alien to me . I love Calvin Harris mind lol and this is a brilliant cover and I'm blown away by the different style of musicianship I've just witnessed ! Now that is real musical talent right there and I probably wouldn't have said that untill I took the time to watch and listen . That's opened my mind tbh ! Epic x
Found this by accident: 10 seconds in - Liked video 15 seconds in - Subscribed 20 seconds in - Shared on Facebook & Twitter 25 seconds in - Looking for where to buy Neon Vines tracks, gig tickets, etc Lovely voice, extremely talented... hope more success comes your way :)
Voice is outstanding, and the part where she's playing the bass drum, bassline and singing at once at 0:38 like it was nothing blew me away! And the end solo of course!

Billy Pilgrim depends man! Djs these days are mostly button pusher/cd player. But the real djs are the ones whos doing it with the oldschool gears like lit turntable. Doing scratch and prolly doing all the mixing manually. I still respect djing cuz it is still real. But its just theres so many stupid wanna be djs today whos not even tryin so hard to learn it. They just stick on button pushing and they call themselves djs wtf
Jeremy Riley Because Andrew Huang did a sample video where multiple musicians mix a song from the same sample. They're all pretty cool songs in the series he's made so far and worth checking out,
That was marvellous. You should post this stuff on Spotify and sound cloud. For the type of work you do and music you create I think you should have millions of subscribers. I pray that it happens one day.
